Stepping off a cruise ship and local fly over activities. We became hungry for quality sushi. Restaurant ambience and service was 5 stars! From hosted to server Shaun taking care of us. Started off with Ebi Fritter. Tempura prawns battered and cooked to perfection with a great light sauce. California roll was good with real crab. Avocado roll was stuffed as well. Miku roll and red wave were also great. Restaurant house makes dark soy sauce which was good. Deserts looked amazing but we were already stuffed. Great meal, ambience and service!

Very conveniently located as it's a few steps away from the waterfront station. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the view from the restaurant is the highlight. The staff were attentive and detail oriented. We ordered the sample platters and it was well thought out! The drinks were great, I ordered a paper crane and it came with a mini crane. The brussel sprouts were good but nothing special. The lobster ceviche was delicious, I really liked how the dish was thought out. It was also more on the sweet side fyi. The pressed sushi was alright but glad I tried it! A really nice spot to come to for a special occasion.

We were visiting Vancouver for the day and happened to discover Miku Sushi. Good location with beautiful views of the port and Canada Place, making it especially convenient if you're arriving by cruise or exploring the waterfront. The Ebi Fritters were excellent: lightly fried with a delicate, crispy batter that stayed soft and airy. I recommend the Oshi Sampler- it's a great way to experience all three of Miku's signature Aburi Oshi Sushi, and the Ebi Oshi was the standout favorite. We also shared half a Miku Roll and half a Red Wave Roll. Both were very good, but the Red Wave had the edge in flavor and was our favorite of the two. Overall, the sushi was fresh and beautifully prepared, the service was friendly, and the waterfront setting made the meal even more enjoyable.

My friend just got off a cruise at Canada Place so I booked a table at Miku right next to Canada Place to welcome him. I tried their Lunch Shokai which came with miso soup, 10 pieces of sushi, and three appetizers. The sashimi tasted fresh and everything was well seasoned. I particularly liked their Oishi sushi. Service was alright. I expected friendlier service for this price range though. Overall, it is a good restaurant for welcoming friends from overseas.

This was a great experience. We went for an anniversary lunch and the food was amazing. Fish was fresh. They said the fish is imported weekly from Japan and the two more local fish were sockeye salmon from Vancouver and King salmon from Alaska. My favorite was the shrimp dish! I also loved the noodles. The salmon was so fresh and it melts in your mouth!

Who gave this spot anything less than 5 stars? I just want to talk lol. Seriously, were we experiencing the same meal. Steep as it is, I decided I wanted a "quick little sushi lunch with a view", and a quick little sushi lunch with a few is exactly what I received. Although I don't recommend it, I walked right in from the street, no reservation, and was seated at the bar (in pretty casual street clothes I may add). I enjoyed a premium sake flight (which was fine...just fine), an old fashioned served with the perfect accompanying dark chocolate, and a good amount of sushi including their signature aburi style sushi in flight form and nigiri tuna flight (bluefin, chutoro, otoro). After visiting Japan last December, I'm a bit of an otoro snob but I have to hand it to them, all three of these cuts were perfect. The accompanying rice, perfection. The quality of the fish, divine. The view was the cherry on top of this experience. This will certainly be a spot I revisit next time I'm in Vancouver.

Great service. Fresh fish. Original style of making sushi. Nice dining environment near the water. I could taste the freshness of the fish. I liked the original flavors and styles of Japanese cuisine. I would come again.

Located next to Canada Place, Miku is a multi-year Michelin-rated sushi restaurant that produces just amazing cuisine, has great ambience and service. We had the scallop appetizer, oshi combination plate, the crab sushi. All of it was AMAZING!! We grabbed a reservation (OpenTable) at the bar. Miles was a great bartender/server! He made some great recommendations all the way around. We didn't have a car. So I have no idea what the parking is like. But it is very easy to get to my Uber. And ironically by cruise ship. Located next to the two big cruise ship berths at Canada Place. Reservations are a must!

We had an incredible experience at Miku. I've been to the Toronto location before and loved it, but the Vancouver location is even better and has a larger menu. Every dish was delicious, with the highlight being the salmon oshi sushi. The Miku roll was also excellent. From the beginning the servers were really friendly and attentive. They also allowed us to switch to a table by the window after confirming it was available (we totally understood if the table was already reserved). It was perfect for a date night and I look forward to coming back!

Dropped by at the end of lunch time and miku was able to fit us in before their dinner reservations. Really appreciated how accommodating the staff was. We ordered the calamari, waterfall platter, and salmon and eel oshi sushi. Everything was so good but definitely appreciated their signature Aburi Salmon Oshi Sushi. Layered seared salmon with rice and literally doesn't need additional sauce. All the seafood was so fresh and so so good. Every bite was so tasty and memorable. Excited to come back

3.5 stars if I could. Excellent service from the staff. They were attentive, checked in periodically and very professional. Michelin starred quality in their service by how they explained the menu, brought out the food, came back around to refill waters. Just top notch service and elegantly so. The food was good but not of value. Their lunch set was a good introductory to what they offer. I enjoyed the food for its flavours and presentation but I thought that it was a bit overpriced. Don't get me wrong, it's beautiful, fresh and definitely elevated, but it was $50 for 10pcs of sushi, 2 appetizer sized samples of their appetizer or entree dishes, and miso soup (which we did not get and didn't realize till much later in the day). If you're wanting an upscale experience (and portion) of good quality food or wanting to impress other parties, then this is a nice spot. For regular eats, it's a bit too luxurious to be a casual thing in my opinion. The ambiance is nice and calm. They have a patio, which has a meh view overlooking the harbor, but beware of a breezy day. It will catch a bit of a wind tunnel. They have heaters and blankets but the heaters don't really reach unless you're sitting next to it.

Great location near the water, make sure you get a reservation! The salmon "box" sushi was great, although a bit light on the fish and heavy on the rice. The soft shell crab was fun, although I have had better brussel sprouts elsewhere. My friend got the mushroom risotto--mushrooms came fried, dusted and savory. Overall lots of fun and great drinks.

We had an exceptional experience at Miku. Our table was on the patio with a beautiful view and the weather couldn't have been any better. We are accustomed to New York sushi and we were told how much better sushi in Vancouver was and let me just say, that is absolutely true. Our server Lenny was amazing. We asked him to recommend what we should have. He brought my husband and I each a 7 piece sampler so we could decide which ones were our favorites. It was so hard to decide because everything was so delicious and flavorful, and explosion of taste in our mouths. We did narrow it down and ordered some more. We also had 2 kinds of oysters that were equally delicious. Again, Lenny made our dining experience the very best. I highly recommend Miku.

My hubs and I vacationed in Vancouver a few weeks ago in late April. We had seen the long lines for dinner at Saku when we were here more than a year ago. So, we decided to give them a try for a late lunch around 2pm on a Wednesday afternoon. No wait. We got seated right away. We liked how spacious and airy the dining room was. Our wait staff were friendly and on point. They were considerate about answering our questions about the food and food allergies. I ordered the chicken thigh katsu ($26 Can) and my hubs got the chicken thigh curry ($28.50 Can). No dairy involved in either dish which I was happy about because I have challenges digesting milk protein. Yes, it's kinda pricey. Yes, it's totally worth it. The katsu is light, crispy, fried perfectly, not greasy, and comes with unlimited rice, miso soup, finely chopped cabbage salad, and an addictively delicious sesame dressing. My hubs' curry sauce was served on the side so he could pour out as much or as little as he wanted. All in all, it was a very pleasant and satisfying meal. Saku is top notch for katsu. You won't believe how good katsu can be until you try it.

The whole menu delivers though, from the sashimi to the rolls to the cocktails, all of it beautifully plated without feeling fussy. The space is nice too, took a big group of family here once after an event and they all loved it. And if you're here in the summer ask about the garden patio out back. I made reservations about 4 months in advance. Upon arrival, one of the hostesses opened the door for us, and asked us to wait in a very ornate waiting area. We only waited a couple of minutes before another hostess seated us at the main seating area. The space is very dark, and only lit with candles while the rest of the diners trickled in. During that time they take drink orders, which is limited to sake, wine, beer and a few non-alcoholic drinks. Of note, they don't provide a drink menu, so we were a little surprised by the cost - the yuzu sake and the plum wine were $30 each. My non-alcoholic drink was $12, but a fair size. The theatrical portion started a few minutes later than the official start time - closer to 6pm. The shades lifted, the lights turned on, and the chefs introduced themselves. And from that moment on, they immediately went to work preparing our meal. They operate like clockwork to show the ingredients whole to the diners, and then preparing them, and serving them. Soon as the one dish was completed by all the diners, the next round came shortly after. Over 20+ dishes, there was very little wait time in between each. Each time a dish was served, a hostess was there to describe the dish and provided tips on how best to eat it. The food was overall was very good. I thought a few items were very average, most of them were very good, and a select few were truly outstanding. Most of the ingredients are imported from Japan, so I would imagine that it's part of the reason it's so expensive. This is definitely a splurge meal. I think half the diners at our sitting was celebrating a birthday. On the most part, the food is very good, watching the chefs at work is part of the entertainment, and the service is excellent. Okeya Kyujiro is a Michelin one-star theatrical omakase restaurant, and when they say theatrical, they mean it! From the moment you're welcomed by smiling ushers in kimono to the closing tea ceremony, every movement feels intentional, precise, and elevated. The ambiance is serene and anticipatory. At the start, guests sit in silence as a black screen conceals the chefs. You see their shadows moving behind it. A bell rings, the screen lifts, and the performance begins. Dinner is a 25+ course experience priced at $325 per person. It's undeniably a splurge, but for a milestone celebration, it feels justified. The menu is seafood-forward, with many ingredients flown in from Japan. Each ingredient is presented before preparation, then carefully assembled and served directly from chef to guest. Courses arrive one by one, never rushed. The service team moves seamlessly in the background, refilling water and attending to drinks (available as an add-on) without disrupting the flow. The finale is a matcha ceremony, whisked in front of you with the same quiet precision that defines the evening. When the final sip is taken, the bell chimes once more, the chefs and staff bow, and the screens close. It was a beautifully choreographed dining experience, perfect for marking a special moment, and one I'd gladly return to for the next celebration.
