My only issue was the paying to get in part, then 3 pumpkins being nearly $60. I thought we HAD to pay admission to get in, but afterwards it seemed as if I didn't need to. Admission is $10 a person & you get unlimited bouncy house and hay rides. But later I noticed you can pay separate for hay rides, so overall I was kinda sad I paid entry cause we could've done without. Oh well. Anyhoo, not a bad little pumpkin patch that's local and not too out of our way.

My husband wanted to stay longer because he wanted to fish more, my 3 year old daughter wanted to hug and pet the goats, and my 22 month old son wanted to drive the toddler McLaren car. Unfortunately, it was I who wanted to leave because I had a killer migraine. Suffice to say, we will return on a day where I don't have an all-day migraine so that I have the energy to push my toddler in that car. Parking is plentiful and is free. Restrooms are portapotties. However, we always find a quality Noble fir if even we have to hunt a bit. This year was REALLY unusual. The Monday after T Day we went with the idea we'd have to spend time searching. The most helpful young man pointed us to a new field of Nobles. And there, no more than 10 feet in from the path was IT (visions of Clark Griswold!). There were countless more even after that Turkey Day rush. The same man came by in his tractor and asked if he could cut it down for us. He had a chain saw. I had a hand saw. No brainer!! The service and selection are first class. Topping this off is the gift shop, where you pay, has all sorts of Christmas related things, including fresh wreaths (which we bought)

Mom put a bowl in a bag so she could go hands free as she picked the berries. Unfortunately we were too early, as there were some berries that were ripe, but they were all very small, maybe the size of peas. We made note and plan to come back at the end of August to let things ripen a bit. Mom only got a handful of berries, but we'll probably put them in a smoothie or on a parfait.

The 2 women there were shocked and so very apologetic. They could not understand nor did I how a socket got buried in a the punnet basket of Marion Berries. They strongly suggested I leave my name and phone number for the owner to call and at the least apologize. Well I have waited all week and apparently they and I were wrong and the only ones that thought an apology was due. I have bought berries from Spooners for the entire 24 years I have lived in Lacey. Not that they will notice losing one customer or care because clearly they don't.

She shared her vast (practical) knowledge if I asked questions, showed us how to pick the best plants for our needs and explained the best way to plant them so they would thrive. Now, six months later, they are! I sent a question months after the purchase and they got right back to me. While customer service can be hard to find at times, that is not the case with Aldrich Farms. It was worth the drive to Mossyrock.
