I'm not a big fan of how they sell in-person tickets. They have a large ticket office outside the entrance, but they stopped selling tickets from there years ago. Instead, you must go inside and wait in the concessions line. I get it, a strong attempt at ensuring you are spending money at their profit center, but takes a lot of time for those who don't want popcorn. Customer service is about what you'd expect from mostly high school aged staff, and theaters are ok. However, the iMax has a big screen, but regular seats. For the premium price, I was expecting something a little better in comfort. I'll keep going here as it's the best we have here in Lacey, but I'd love to see them make an upgrade investment in the property.

I am a sucker for Classic Americana so when i had the opportunity to check this out in lieu of the…read morenew multiplex's I had to give it a shot. I was not disappointed. I had lived in Eatonville for a while and was unsure if they were open or it was another unfortunate case of classic America dying off, but it is only open regularly at 1900 every night or the matinee's at 2. I thought that they were also pretty good about showing the newest movie titles, they may not have it that day, but they will have it usually within a week if not sooner. I saw Jurassic World within a week of it coming out nationwide. This was something I was surprised about and I have checked their website and they generally stay on top of it. They had the new Hunger games out very quick. As to the theater itself it is great, you walk in and pay for your tickets at a window like you used too, and the person behind the glass is always nice, and they have a cash price which I think is $6.00 per person, and all of the drinks and popcorn are well priced as well. It is also fresh unlike many new ones where the popcorn you are eating this Saturday was popped before Orville Reddenbacher had peach fuzz. The value here is incredible. It has an old school feel with a the most up to date amenities save for the new recliners that are there. With that said there chairs are plush and extremely comfortable, so I did not feel as though I was missing anything. The armrests are nice and the drink holder will actually fit your drink and it is not cumbersome. The seats are also wide in comparison to their mainstream counterparts. I am a relatively large person frame wise but relatively lean and the seats fit me extremely well, but if you are larger there is usually another space available to accommodate if need be I would assume. That brings me to the best part, if you want a date Saturday night it is a great choice. If you want to be in a theater where it is only you and your date and MAYBE 2 other people go on a Monday or Tuesday night a week after the release. I did this and it was me and my girlfriend with a total of 5 people in the theater. It was amazing. All in all this theater is amazing and is my favorite theater even though Yelm opened the new one with recliners and beer. I prefer this one for the short lines, comfort, service, and quality of the place. The only advice I would give is the parking is streetside with a small parking lot so you may want to walk if you live in Eatonville, which is no big deal considering the town size, or find a another lot to park in such as the Napa close by, the Flower Shop, or many other options, just not Plaza as they are still open.

The seats are all old, springs broken, the seat portions slope downward. We tried a few in our one trip--and more on the way out (with our backs sore). Almost left a great movie due to the pain of these awful seats. I hate to rag on an local establishment run by volunteers and a fil society. But I feel the need to warn people for the sake of their butts and backs. Someone seriously need to get a fund raiser going to fix the awful seating. At the very least, bring your own pillows.
