We had two large trees requiring service, one over our driveway and one over a road. Both had us concerned that they could fall or drop heavy branches. Mark Tuttle came out and met with us, provided an estimate, explained exactly what he would do, and told us he would find a way to fit us in but that he was slammed (we appreciated the honesty!!). Since it wasn't really an emergency we told him to call us when he had time after the holidays. In mid-January, he called us with an opening, came with his bucket truck and two helpers, and carefully and professionally took down our trees (as requested), cleaned up, moved the wood away from main areas for us, and made sure we sere comfortable with what was done. His helpers were also professional and friendly, and the team even helped me with something related, answered my questions, and is back in our neighborhood today because our neighbors saw the job they did and hired him too! Above and beyond, great value, high customer service.

Everything was done as promised and at the price quoted. They worked carefully to not disturb vegetation around the tree and cleaned up the area after finishing. Ghosted us completely. We had several trees in our yard that ODTC agreed to take down for us. One…read morewas a hazard and danger to others as it had begun to show signs of splitting in half next to a road in a residential neighborhood. The planning process between quotes and getting on the schedule took longer than was originally discussed (that's fine, I get it). When I asked for a quote/contract with the price and a COI, I was told it wouldn't be an issue, but never received either. We still communicated up to the day before the work was to be done. My wife and I both took the day off from work that day to be on the property when the job was being performed. Morning of, they didn't show, when I called and texted asking if we were still on for the day, the response I received was vague, that they had an equipment issue, but no word on whether the job was still going to be able to done, or if it needed to be rescheduled. I never heard from them again, that day or after. This was after repeated attempts to get into contact with them that day and the week after (calling and text). Approximately a week and a half after we were ghosted, a major portion of the tree did split and fell into our neighborhood across a road (no one hurt thankfully). Thanks Old Dominion Tree Company. I don't care about wasting my time, but you genuinely put others at risk of injury or worse. Enjoy your bad karma.

Mine was the first house they came to. I had a large pine tree fall on top of my car, as well as a huge oak tree fall from my neighbor's yard into mine, crushing my shed. Jeremiah and his crew got to work right away, even though they had just driven up from the Richmond area. They were very respectful of me, my property, and my neighbor's property as well. The cleanup of my yard took more than one day, and I couldn't be happier with the way everything turned out. Honestly, I can't say enough good things about the guys. They put their lives on hold to come up and help us after the worst disaster we have been through in a long time, not knowing the working and living conditions they were going to face when they arrived. My insurance company is Nationwide Insurance, and Old Dominion was recommended to me as they are a Nationwide authorized contractor. Now I know why. The honesty, integrity and professionalism the guys showed was second to none. It was very comforting to know that I could go to work, and rest assured that everything was being handled appropriately while I was working, and I didn't have to be around to check up on things.
