Our prior tree person had just retired and recommended Mark Tuttle. We were concerned after so many great years with our prior service that it would be hard to find the same quality. We had two large trees requiring service, one over our driveway and one over a road. Both had us concerned that they could fall or drop heavy branches. Mark Tuttle came out and met with us, provided an estimate, explained exactly what he would do, and told us he would find a way to fit us in but that he was slammed (we appreciated the honesty!!). Since it wasn't really an emergency we told him to call us when he had time after the holidays. In mid-January, he called us with an opening, came with his bucket truck and two helpers, and carefully and professionally took down our trees (as requested), cleaned up, moved the wood away from main areas for us, and made sure we sere comfortable with what was done. His helpers were also professional and friendly, and the team even helped me with something related, answered my questions, and is back in our neighborhood today because our neighbors saw the job they did and hired him too! We had Mark remove a tall, messy birch tree in our front yard. He and his team did a terrific job of cutting the tree, grinding the stump, and removing the large horizontal roots that had grown out from the base of the tree. Everything was done as promised and at the price quoted. They worked carefully to not disturb vegetation around the tree and cleaned up the area after finishing. When I got serious about getting painting estimates I realized that all those tree trimming projects I had put off for years had gone way beyond "do it yourself" and were making it impossible for a painter to get near my house. Called Mark Tuttle Tree Service after a friend recommended him after Hurricane Michael took 2 monster White Oak Trees and 2 other trees that took out parts of our fencing in 4 places another other stuff for another builder contractor. We called Mark at 10:30am on Friday the next morning, he was there at 12noon gave us a quote to remove these 70foot trees, stump grind the roots balls that were 18-20 feet tall. The quote that he gave us, I thought was low, I was expecting something high since it was insurance and the next day after a hurricane. But the moment I met Mark, I knew he was a man I knew he was he was not that type of man, and I said lets do it. 2 hours later his guys were here cutting the trees off the fence so the other contractor could sure up the fence temporary. They continued to cut up off limbs off trees and did their tree thing. All 4 guys were very friendly and used safety equipment even when Mark wasn't around at the time, who was every single of those 3 days. There was not one leaf when they left. My tenant, a United States Marine, called Mark Tuttle Tree Service, to get an estimate for a tree that had split in half and fallen on his vehicle overnight. Obviously this was a job involving an insurance company since two vehicles were damaged. I should add that his wife is 9 months pregnant and expecting a child any day now -- so getting the tree removed is quite important. Mr. Mark Tuttle arrived at the house and treated my tenant "worse than he's ever been treated". He told him it'd be $500 to take the branch off of his car -- when my tenant explained that it was an insurance job and he was calling to get an estimate -- Mr. Tuttle got nasty explaining that he left another job to do this estimate, and did he want it off or not? My tenant asked Mr. Tuttle if he was going to send an estimate and Mr. Tuttle said no, good luck with getting the tree off, and left. Definitely don't use this man or this company. Needed services to remove 6 trees. Mark was very prompt in responding to my request for estimate. His prices are very competitive. The service is second to none. He started a half day early and completed ahead of schedule. Workers were very careful to not damage my neighbors driveway through which access was required, You always want someone you can trust with something like tree removal. The easiest guy to work with that I've found. I called for for few estimates and his was not only a good price, everything made since as he was describing how the job would be done. Mark is very personable and so is all his crew. One poor guy took a bit of a bath in one of my Koi ponds which was pretty funny and did no damage at all. My dog goes in all the time. Called on Tuesday afternoon for an estimate to remove a tree branch that had fallen against another tree, causing the 2nd tree to lean precariously towards my neighbors house. First of all, the young lady who answered the phone sounded like I had just woken her up. She took my name and number and said she would give the message to Mark. Second, this is now Thursday. I have yet to receive a call from Mark. Either the young lady didn't give him the message or he decided it wasn't worth his time for just a branch. Too bad, Mark. I was asked if I had anything I can think of that I would like to see in my woods. I said I always wanted a swing. Before I could think about it I had a rope suspended from a huge branch and smaller branches were trimmed away to make the an ideal space to swing.
