Another project done by Jesse and team. This time is my patio aka Pergola replacement. I was just going to replace the roof, but Jesse found that there were fungus growing on the bottom of the woods. So, I ended up replacing the whole patio. They placed the new deck and beams within few days. The Patio roof placement took couple more days due to ordering and other unforeseen circumstances. Even Jesse mentioned that they never had experience placing clear polycarbonate roof, but they figured it out how to install after couple of attempts. Now the new patio looks stronger and nicer. I contacted 6 different companies and Jesse was the most responsive, the most professional, and provided competitive pricing. He was patient in answering all my questions and was communicative throughout the entire process. I had siding/trim replacements done and then had the entire house painted. Each phase of the work was done on time or ahead of schedule. At each phase, Jesse always made sure to check in and see if I had any questions. Contract Date is 6/22/2023, most of my communications was done with the owner Jesse McGraw. I hired Jesse to complete work on my master bathroom and side yard. Jesse during the estimate provided very well insight into the work. The problem started because we received a stop notice from the city on the construction of a fence and side yard until we received a permit. During the estimate, I told Jesse that when I spoke with the city they explained, I wouldn't need a permit based on what I planned to do with the fence at the time. However, once Jesse came with other brilliant ideas to make my home unique with the side yard. I told him to reach out the city and explain your plans and see if we need a permit to start construction of the work. At the time, we were discussing this in the side yard which is recorded by my outside camera. Being that Jesse started work on the yard, I assumed the permit wasn't necessary. However, there was no request or application for permit done by McGraw and Sons, which is why I received a stop notice. Turns out, the side yard was actually city property and not mine. So, I wouldn't have been able to have the side yard. Jesse McGraw if he would have requested for a permit we would have found out that the side yard wasn't mine and work would have never been started. McGraw is charging me for the work he's done on the side yard and expecting reimbursement for materials for their mistake. Jesse McGraw employees also did not treat my home with respect during improvements. Damaging my shower pad leaving non removable stain, leaving urine everywhere in my bathrooms. Causing for me to get toilet seats in all bathrooms. Also, sitting on my newly delivered furniture (dressers, nightstands, island). My painter at the time also recalled the many times, they left my home in array and he picked up after them. They also installed my mirror but it was damaged during the install by them in my master bathroom. Jesse McGraw put a lien on my property.
