They have a specialty tap for Guinness, which as a big Guinness drinker is awesome. Ironically, I passed this place 100 times with my best friend, whose family lives in Sunnyside, and it took meeting a good friend of mine that bartends here and at a favorite bar of mine in the city to get me here. Best bar in Sunnyside. I don't have the time or patience to explain in detail how the rankings system works .Just know that the bar keeps are sharp and the beer taps are clean . Interesting side note ,The Worlds Tallest Man ,Sultan Kosen hangs out there every Monday at 12pm - 1pm . He brings his domino and connect four sets and trades barbs with the Malaysian hecklers who follow him around whenever he is in the neighborhood. It's a funny cultural thing they told me . I don't understand it myself but it's none of my business. I just go in for a few pints and read the papers .It is mostly friendly jabs but things got heated when Zikri turned on the ceiling fan when Sultan stood up to adjust his slacks. Quick thinking staff deescalated the situation so the damage was minimal. Sultan has a funny sense of humor . He brought 100 - $1 bills with him and paid people to not take a picture with him . He gave them an option. He would gladly take a picture with them if they cared for one . But he presented option #2 ,he would allow them to choose a few dollars to NOT take a picture with him . Funny stuff but It's a bunch of hoopla if you ask me but I do like that he keeps the attention away from me and everyone leaves me alone so I can do the crossword in peace . Don't forget to ask the bartender about the secret ,after midnight food menu .They will tell you that they don't serve food there . Respond with ,word for word , "I suppose that is true maestro" .
