This was terrible service as we could only use the boat on a Saturday and only had 2 weeks to find a different option. This was almost impossible as boats are booked well in advance for Saturdays in Chicago. Would highly recommend Sofia with Get my Boat if you have a party of 12 looking for a great time. The word luxury premium pontoon boat What you get : no working radio mold and nasty carpet non working gauges They will pretend you are getting a working radio etc until you get there and it's too late and you have a nice silent 10 person boat ride for the day Gas You will be charged for gas ... gas is available on the lake you can fill it yourself They will refuse you to not fill any gas that isn't them filling it and with not one single boat or ski in their inventory with a working gas gauge most people don't realize that these boats don't hold more than 10-15 gallons of gas but will tell you it holds a million dollars of gas and will charged you as much as they can without you thinking it's impossible Customer service the owner - Kevin is insane They will tell you you broke things you didn't or make up that your prop was damaged it's always something As much as this place could have been fun and nice it's always some big scam or hassle I've prolly rented 15-20 times in 12 years here and not one time has it been what it was suppose to be. Last time I tried to confirm my boat had a working radio made sure it was the best they had and then the bait and switch you pull up your friends look at you and are like are you serious you have broken gauges moldy carpet no working radios even tho you triple checked ahead of time and them smiling when you pull back up pretending like you burned 100 gallons of gas in your tiny pontoon yacht that has a 12 gallon tank - just save the hassle Not sure where I'm gonna go this year to rent but this place just isn't worth the nightmare the boats and skis are ancient nothing works how you gonna charge me for gas with no gas gauge and even try to play like the tank holds 200 in gas they are literally Crazyyyy don't walk away runnnnnnnnnnnnnn

Brought boat in for summarization, gas gauge not working, idles slow causing the oil pressure…read moresensor to alarm and the tilt gauge not working. Asked all to be fixed! Not a problem is what I was told. 1 week later get a call from the tech stating replacement of the wire ignition kit would fix the problem for the idle issue - $400+ NOPE didn't fix a thing! Couldn't fix the fuel gauge or tilt sensor. I'm not a mechanic but was able to YouTube fix the fuel gauge in about 1hr! Ohm meter and replace the gas tank sender unit!!! Will tackle the tilt gauge this season. Back to D's marine....came to pick up my boat 1 week after brining it in and stated I wasn't pleased with 800 tune-up bill and none of my issues were fixed. The front desk clerks said "Let us keep your boat for a week or two and contact Larson representative to see if the have anything to help fix the problems". A total of six weeks went by and NOTHING!!!! No phone calls, no updates, NOTHING!!! I would call and the front desk clerks would tell me "I'll have the mechanic call you back when he get a chance"; never would happen!!! My advice is find another shop. I wouldn't let them work on any boat of mine again! Worst part...$860 later, 6 weeks later, never putting the boat in the water that season as it was a busy year for me.

I was met at the pier by Stuart I think he was the service manager. I told him I was having a problem, and without hesitation he took off his shoes and jumped in my boat to check things out! We did a series of things and all of the sudden all was working again! He did a few temp tests and BAM we were ready to go back to cruising the chain. I offered him some cash, lunch, a tip..... He would not take a dollar! Thank you Stuart I really appreciate your help and your willingness to jump right in to help a guy you have never even met! Awesome!!

Business sent a text message day prior to let know who my driver was going to be. Our driver was Margaret, she had very strong communication skills, very good driver, and very friendly! I alerted her our flight to Midway was delayed and she monitored our flight and arrived promptly for pick up even at 3:30 in the morning. She was very friendly and drove us to our destination with no issues. They have extra charging ports for all passengers, climate control system in their vehicles. Their cars are roomy even with 4 suitcases and 4 passengers riding in the back. I accidentally left my laptop in the backseat after our ride concluded and they were prompt to notify me and returned my bag. I love that they take pride in their work and they made our experience very enjoyable! I also love that they are a veteran owned business. I highly recommend their services.

We were told there was an emergency, and while I hope everyone is okay, as a transportation company, I'd hope they'd be prepared to urgently send another vehicle to arrive on time to avoid ruining a client's wedding day timeline. In addition to the tarty arrival, the wrong vehicle was sent. We received a bus and as a result, weren't able to get any trolley photos for our wedding day which was half the reason why we contracted with way to go. The kicker? After detailing this experience and the negative impact to our wedding day, the owner was reluctant to give us any money back. They started small with coverage for the Uber rides, increased slightly after further justification and only landed on an acceptable amount because I was prepared to dispute the charge. I'm saddened to write this review but I was beyond sad and stressed on my wedding day, which speaks to the necessity for others to be aware of the company you're contracting with for transportation.
