All the people we met have been super friendly. The showers I have never used but the bathrooms are always clean. And believe me I would not use a bathroom that was not clean. They do let people rent park models and they let campers in on certain days I believe. Look forward to relaxing there in my days off.

Unfortunately, the caregiver broke her arm and had to return to Arizona for treatment. We were scheduled to be here through but the caregiver cannot return because of the severity of her injury. We need to return to Arizona for proper care for my daughter. She was hospitalized here to have a feeding tube replaced and now needs to return home for further care. I to Debbie and was told there would be no refund of my money. There seems to be no sympathy or care for families. I hope the people here do not end up having problems like we've had and I asked, God bless you.

I love finding unexplored and new areas in Chicago that I've never seen. This tour really opened up my eyes to how beautiful the Hyde Park area is! I've been to this area and always wanted to know the history behind the statues and such. My tip- book on eventbrite. They are running a promotional right now. My biggest recommendation is bring a water bottle and comfortable shoes. You make a stop for a bathroom break which is where I filled up my water bottle. Affordable and interesting I wouldn't miss this If you want to learn more about the history of the Hyde Park /south side area of Chicago. I also had lunch at a spot joe recommended. It was delicious! If you go on this tour- ask for Joe.

The benches in the space have a middle arm so really only 2 people can sit on one at a time unless you are a big fan of awkward closeness to strangers. It is a great place to keep warm in the winter or sit out if the sun in the summer and many times the Chamber has events starting from this space or info pick up here.

I have attended the last two FC tours, both of which were only a $5 "donation." The tours typically cover areas that aren't given much attention by other Chicago tour groups. The first tour I attended followed the trail of old Ogden Ave, and the second tour wove a meandering path on the south side from Chinatown to the ITT campus. These tours are quite different from those given by the Architecture Foundation. FC tours aren't as polished as the AF tours, but it doesn't matter because FC takes you places that you would have never otherwise known existed. On the south side tour, for example, we explored the vacant Michael Reece Hospital grounds, which was eerie at times. And how else would I have found the tiny memorial commemorating the first softball game (yes, it is located in the middle of a nearly deserted hospital campus - strange). The tours cover a lot of ground, so be prepared to do some walking. The south side tour covered about 4 miles, but every place we stopped was well worth the trek. This is not your grandma's walking tour. FC's tours are also growing in popularity. It is a great way to meet others with similar interests, and the guides always welcome input from the group. Large groups can make it difficult to hear, so make sure to get close to the guides at each stop. Once you try it, you'll want to go to every one.

These guys are neighborhood historians, and have their own nerdy, niche interests in Chicago history. You will find out a lot about the history of retail and industry in a particular area. In addition to the standard neighborhood history overview, they'll point out some interesting ghost sign, or an abandoned train entrance that tells a forgotten tale about the city. That being said, maybe not the best choice for an out-of-towner--you know--someone who doesn't know that a Mike Bilandic plaque is worth a chuckle.

CTA has a station at Clinton. It provides convenient access to downtown. Lots of ways to get around…read morefrom here. Kind of clean compared to others so that's good. There's access to plenty of other trains. Best thing is the convenience. It serves the Green and Pink Lines. The station is pretty clean for the most part. Above ground so it has the cleaner air. This is also located next to Ogilvie Transportation Center, so you can get on Metra and change systems. Has good things about it. It's one of the better stations. There's usually trains coming pretty often weekdays and even weekends.

This station is one of the ones to which you can transfer from Metra to catch a green or pink line…read moretrain to the loop. That's pretty handy. The ramp from the mezzanine level where you get your fares and enter the station up to the train level is freaking long. If one doesn't have a motorized chair or a person pushing them, they're going to be exhausted by the time they get up if they can. It's honestly astonishing to me that CTA can't create an elevator from mezzanine to train level--and I'm confident there isn't one that I missed. Otherwise it's a CTA station, not much frill here. It's the final inbound station before officially entering the Loop stops. I wish that there was an interior connection of sorts from Ogilvie to this station, so that when I take Metra I can get to the station without having to exit into the weather whatever it may be. Honestly I can't believe that the RTA hasn't figured it out yet; pretty annoying. (Unless I'm an idiot and just haven't found the secret connector.)

CTA has a classic stop on the Loop at Quincy, in fact as old of a stop there is around here. It has…read morepretty convenient access to other modes of transportation and you can get on many different Lines. Of course because of the location it gets busy especially at rush hour for sure. Located near a few important buildings and attractions. There's Amtrak and Metra where you can make transfers. It can be found on the southwest side of the Loop close to some other systems you can conveniently access. It serves the Brown, Orange, Pink, and Purple Lines. The times each of these operates varies. Brown goes counterclockwise. The others go clockwise so you have to be on the correct side of the platform. For the Brown, stand on the west, and the others are on the east. Close proximity to Amtrak and Metra is right by here. This is only a few blocks to the LaSalle and Union Station, so if you're getting on these getting off here is a good idea. Also know the Purple is a limited extension. It's only on weekdays at rush hour. This gives you quick access to either the LaSalle station or Union Station if you're transferring between systems.
