They had other seashell related souvenirs. Kids beach toys are also for sale. The snack section was small, but they do have a nice amount of drinks, which is handy for those hot beach days. This park includes three distinct environments... beach, freshwater marshes and forest all very close to each other, with easy-to-follow unmarked trails and clean public bathrooms. We walked and explored and enjoyed for several hours, seeing osprey with young chicks, a pileated woodpecker, herons, ducks, a variety of stunning warblers, a loggerhead shrike and more! We also saw a variety of native butterflies and plants/trees/flowers, so I contributed those identifications since that's more my area of expertise. I was thrilled to see, for the first time in my life, the elusive Blue-Winged Warbler! Score! While I didn't obtain a photo, the sighting was definite and confirmed by my friend / guide / birding expert! Life is great when a small group of friends explore a beautiful and serene park, taking our time to really take it all in and as a bonus, I am able to add to my growing bird life list.

I like that the park had some really clean bathrooms and the stalls didn't have any gaps when I closed the door. Being able to walk around this park and see some beautiful views of the water was something that was very cool because it is right off the water! No matter where I was walking there was something to see and enjoy. There was also a ton of seating around the park so I didn't have to sit on the floor or sit in the way of anyone. I also love that there are both stairs and ramps so that everyone is able to enjoy this park!

Performers, musicians and comedians gather at the bottom of the Pier. It is a creative way to attract a crowd. There are bathrooms and a few restaurants across from the Pier. You can find lots of shopping and dining within just a few blocks. We were careful to have our pockets zipped and we took cross body bags. It is easy to get distracted with a large group of people. The top of the pier allows fishing. It costs a dollar to enter the gated area. It is super windy at the end of the pier. Watch your ball caps!

The tide was out, and we were one of three cars when we pulled in. I decided to see what was going on down by the water side. A guy was fishing, there were a lot of little crabs and I found a large painted rock down on the water's edge. I took some phots and then came up and decided to walk, because the park is not just that parking area, its all that edge water area. There are benches, there are palm trees. It's really just a nice area along Dunedin's water front that make this such a plesant area to be in.

A short drive to the paying booth for taking the ferry from honeymoon to caladesi. It is $20 dollars but they do take military discount too! The two guys on the boat are very funny guys. The captain loves to tell dad jokes and the other tells you fun facts about the islands. It's a short ride to caladesi. Once we arrived there was lots to explore however my friend and I just had a beach day. There is construction going on due to the past hurricanes but there is bathrooms, a cafe, and plenty of shade and trails! I can't wait to go back and explore more. The ferry takes off from honeymoon every hour and from caladesi every half hour. Highly recommend a day trip here!! Water is so nice.

Beautiful beach that has tons of shells…read more This beach is emptier than others because you have to take a ferry to get to it and you have a four hour limit. We aren't major beach people, but I got really interested recently in finding shells. We were at Clearwater Beach and didn't see a lot of shells so I did research into where we could find an abundance of shells and this was one of the beaches that popped up. They have so many shells, but all the shells are very similar. They are the clamshell looking type. So if you're looking for a variety of shells, I would suggest going elsewhere. However, I was super excited to find all of these shells. We ended up getting buckets full of them. You pay eight dollars to get into honeymoon State Park. Then you follow the signs to the parking lot where it is $20 per adult and $12 per child, five and under are free, for the ferry ride. The ferry ride is a boat that is actually quite fun for the children. It's about 10 minutes and in the morning, you can see dolphins and the ferry will stop to look at them. They can fit about 45 to 50 people on each boat, and they do fill up. The first boat is at 10 AM and leaves every half hour after that. You can rent two beach chairs and an umbrella for $35 and they have food and drinks that you can buy on the island. Since you can't bring carts most people travel light so we didn't bring shade or seats. Being that our whole goal was to find shells we weren't sitting much anyways. It is pretty empty. This is not a packed beach at all and we were there on a Saturday in the summer so prime beach season. The sand is white and fine and the water is beautiful. If you're looking for a beach that isn't that crowded I would highly recommend coming here.

Last nights sunset was so beautiful I found myself capturing tons of video and photos before I was asked to be in a photoshoot for their local guide ( it was the dress lol ) Today, I'm writing this review from my beach cabana as the sound of the ocean sends me into complete relaxation. Although the afternoon storms have pulled in some seaweed , the water is calm and soothing. My little and I have become mermaids and are looking forward to our vacation time here this week. For those traveling here, there are parking lots available with a pay to park ( I use the parking mobile app which saves me so much time) if you are not staying at a local hotel. There are also hotels that offer day parking passes that range $15-30 for a full day. Once on the beach, there are umbrella and chair rentals , cabana rental, surf shops near by to grab floats and surf boards and tons of food options all walkable. This is a great family friendly beach area that I've been coming to for over 20 years. It's worth the 2 hour drive for me!

It was delicious. We had an amazing time. The white sand and the blue ocean was gorgeous. The people at the beach were very joyful. There were people playing volleyball, reading books and swimming. There was a temporary tattoo shop near there, we had both gotten tattoos. There was a small shop where artists draw caricatures, however we couldn't see them. If they were there, we'd have definitely tried out and let them draw a caricature of us! It was warm and sunny. I highly recommend for anyone to visit and swim or just enjoy the scenery.
