The people who work there were friendly to newbies like me, and explained how things worked patiently (you go on the preview days to check out the items; they sell catalog booklets so that you can circle the lot# of the things you are interested in and take notes. On the day of the auction, they go in the sequential order of the lot # starting from 9am. The later stuff is said to be probably more valuable.). I appreciated that the owners do make a first pass appraisal at all the stuff people wanted to sell, so that the items they had on display were not as hit-or-miss as your typical yard sale.

The items are all online and up for about a week or 10 days. The bids of others are transparent to you. The item descriptions are adequate. The items are art -- paintings, paper works ceramics, jewelry, objets de vertu ( which means precious little things) sculpture, etc. You can check out all the monthly to bi-monthly auction items in a hour or an extra 30 minutes...so it's not intimidating or overwhelming. The item I bought was definitely not a "steal" but I have seen some item go for a really good price (that I was not personally interested in). The auction also operates in Cleveland and if you are a successful bidder they notify you by email and you can indicate if you want it shipped to you (for which they charge) or if you prefer to pick it up at their Ellsworth Ave./Shadyside storefront. They will let you know when it is there and you can go pick it up. I have found this a diverting and pleasant activity -- most especially in these cooped up COVID times~

To our surprise at reeds auction we had 2 items stolen one of which was a gift for my brother; I'm very disappointed I'm NOT blaming Reeds Auction but when you bid on something you expect to receive the ITEM. It is just sad that there are thieves out there. We have had dealings with other auction houses that close off the premises so you can't meander around and your items are brought to you, maybe this is something that could be considered so this doesn't happen to another bidder.

They always seem to have a great auction going online or at their facility, with lots of things you…read morewon't find anywhere else. The staff is well educated on everything antiquities related, and service is friendly. They also have an extensive consignment shop that has everything from vintage clothes to firearms. Be sure to check out the epic vault they have at the back of the store, too! A friend recommended I check out Rogers Flea Market so I figured I would give it a try. Located…read moreabout 1/2 hour south of Youngstown in Rogers, Ohio the flea market is only open on Fridays. I managed to arrive at about 8am, 1/2 hour after the opening. There is extensive parking lots all around the market, I managed to find a spot up front just inside the fence. The day was a bit hazy from Canadian wildfire smoke so it seemed like quite a few vendors decided not to show up, many customers also seemed to have decided to have passed on attending. The flea market is huge, there are lots of open air vendor spots, a couple of covered pavilions and quite a few enclosed buildings. At first I was quite disappointed with the product selection since most of the vendors who set up near the front of the market are selling cheap new products the kinds of things you can find anywhere. I was much more interested when I found the back rows where there were more vintage items and antiques along with a wide variety of almost anything you could want. I check out all of the vendors who were there that day. I did find some items that interested me, mainly wood carvings and related items. Prices were OK, not sensational, but I also didn't find anything that I wanted enough to negotiate to see if I could get a lower price. I did end up buying a cinnamon roll from the Amish bakery in one of the buildings, I also bought some candy and trail mix from the discount candy store in the same building. Overall Rogers Flea Market was not bad, but not worth the drive from Cleveland. Some of that was probably due to it being an off day for vendors and part of it was that I have so much stuff I am mostly looking for indigenous wood masks and I just didn't find any on this trip. I did see plenty of people who had found plenty of things to buy, so your experience could vary. My recommendation would be worth a stop if you are in the area on a Friday, but not really worth a special trip.

They wore masks most of the time and were courteous and respectful. There was an initial charge prior to the first visit and a final payment when the team finished the pricing process. They left the house during the 7-day auction. Once the auction winners had paid for their items and came to my house to pick them up, representatives of Caring Transitions took care of everything. What wasn't sold online was donated or discarded. They left the house totally empty and "broom clean." A week later, I received a check for 65% of the proceeds as was agreed to under contract. Working with this company was easy and pleasant and saved me lots of time and aggravation.

At first this place was amazing I loved Bidding and getting my items but recently I don't know if…read moresomeone else has taken over but I was very saddened and annoyed with my last and final experience. I won a few things and usally I'm told with in 24 hours when to pick up my items on a following day. I didn't get a message on my email till 9:56 am the next day telling me to pick up that very day between 10 am and 2 pm. I was shocked because I usally get a message telling me I have a day or two to get a truck or car ready. I didn't see this message unfortunately until after work and by then everyone was gone. I called upset and no one answered or returned my call. I left messages no called back. I then emailed them and received a message stating Tuesday would be the next day. So I told my husband. Tuesday came and I called to confirm pick up. The nice woman told me that they wouldn't be at thier Allentown location on Warrington until Sat June 4 th at 10 till 2 pm. I was frantic because we had a wedding that day and the item we bought was a table and we needed a truck. So I tell my husband to rent a truck and to get there at 10 on the dot because we had prior engagement at 12 pm. So my husband goes to the building where he's always driven me with a truck that cost us $$$$ to rent for the day. And wouldn't you know it no one was there....I was shocked disappointed and mad. He waited for a while left to change for the wedding and came back 15 min later...still no one he rang the buzzer and no one called no one answered. Very upset he left with a truck we now had no use for. So now for a table that was only gonna cost us 40$ and a Pyrex set for 20 some bucks we are out of pocket lost 100 some dollars for this truck and 60-80 bucks for items we never where able to get receive. I'm just so upset by this. The odd thing too was they called my place of work not my phone when they found out what had happened. Kept my boss on the phone for a while and he informed me they where very rude to him which ended up getting me into trouble at work, which was not a fun thing to walk into at work was my boss upset because he said his time was wasted. So this whole nightmare of an experience was not something I expected. Once my husband got a hold of someone today instead of being understanding and apologetic he got a rude argumentive response. They fought tooth and nail to say we where in the wrong. It's 60-80 some odd dollars and we've wasted all this time for that? We just wanted our money back but now we have to wait till the end of the week which is ridiculous. The only reason I'm even giving 2 stars was because prior to this nightmare Doug the owner was very nice to me when I bought other items prior to this. I don't know who's running it currently but it's not Doug.
