We have been coming here for 10+ years. Although used primarily for our dog/cat, they cater to virtually every animal out there. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I try to avoid internet purchasing when local is available and Mckenzie feed is my first go to for cat/dog food, toys, shampoos etc. A bonus is the garden center attached as well. This is my favorite pet store in town. We feed our exotic animals and our cats with their products. It's a very welcoming store. When we walked in with our pet tegu lizard on a leash we weren't treated weird. Instead, they petted and talked about their diet. We've also switched to a raw diet for our cats. I always see their billboards when heading out to Springfield. I never stopped in because I live in Eugene and also bought different product for my other Pomeranian that I had who has passed a few months ago due to old age. My Son bought me a new baby and I started her on a high quality food which is hard to find in the Eugene/ Springfield area at most pet food stores. You can how ever find it and many other high quality pet foods here. Their billboard was not lying when it says...is your Dog itching? Really...check into the food! Good quality food is the key to dogs not having itchy skin, and also having beautiful shiny fur. My Bailey is so fluffy, and soft. The food costs a little bit more, but I feel like it is worth every penny! I also found a quality harness here. I have been on the hunt for a quality harness. This place is everything you would find in a healthy pet store. They have great quality, foods, toys, and so much more. They also offer a program that when you buy 12 bags of dog food, the next one is free stamp card. So that is all worth the price. read more

They are so friendly and genuinely want you to find something that suits you and your pets, whether that be food, toys, accessories, medicine, or anything else. You are more than just dollar signs. I buy most of my horse supplies there and they are always so helpful and friendly. Someone always packs my horse food out to my car for me. When my horse had a skin condition, they recommended some supplements and a spray and it cleared right up. Thank you to all the nice people at McKenzie Feed. We go here so we can procure quality food and snavks for our pets. the store is family owned and operated and everyone is very knowledgeable and helpful. They do tend to be a little pricey, some items I can order online at a cheaper rate but they are very friendly and helpful and they know the sources and ingredients of all the products they sell so you can feel good feeding your pets food from this store. They also have TONS of sample products they will let your try. They also have a great computer system that tracks your puchases and are totally willing to check on all sorts of questions for you. read more

I used to go here all the time to buy bones and food for my dogs. In May, I went in complaining about the fleas. The cashier told me about this really expensive flea collar ($64.00 each ) that really works on fleas and lasts for 6 months. I mentioned that the only thing that seems to work for my dogs was Comfortis that I get at my vet. The cashier said they have heard nothing but good about the product and it would be a lot cheaper! I bought one for both of my dogs (ouch). I noticed in two weeks it wasn't working even though I bathed them before using the collar. I decided that fleas were so bad this year so I bathed my dogs again, flea bombed my house and waited. Dogs continued to get the fleas After a little over a month I went back to the store and complained about the product. They refused to give me my money back or even part of it back. The man shrugged and told me I could contact the company! So they do NOT back their products. Do not be duped like I was. In fact be cautious when they recommend something that was a huge upsale They lost a customer over this! I will get my food from Costco and my bones from Winco and my dog products from somewhere else. When I went out to my car a woman that had overheard me told me that she had been told the something about the product. She was smart to ask more questions than I did. She was told it was just Advantage! I told them Advantage didn't work on my dogs! But they didn't tell me that was what was on the collar! Beware! read more
