And if you order the cheese now so it arrives before February 6, the date of the "big game" my husband tells me, and do watch the Superbowl (the only reason I can think of to do that is for the commercials and the food at the party), while others are eating hot dogs and potato chips, you could be eating Fenacho stuffed dates, or Pondhopper mac n cheese, or grilled Poblanos stuffed with goat cheese raisins and hazelnuts. Nice change from the stressed-out Farmers Markets around that have a big selection but hot pavement, the people are usually rude or just worn out. At Sisters Farmers Market I met some great ranchers with perfect cuts of grass-fed beef, they also sell eggs, turned out they are neighbors of ours in Tumalo area. Our kids run around in the splash pad. Wife likes the music. Also nice that it's right across the street from Sisters Saloon (great ribs), The Barn food trucks (good drinks, pizza, vegan bowls).

Right next door was a plant store with beautiful hanging flowers. I found peaches that were perfectly ripe. They had yellow and dark red cherries, that you could sample. I got the yellow cherries since they were sweeter with more flavor. I picked up some jam and corn as well. I wasn't offered help while I was there but the guy checking me out was nice. They had the ability to take credit cards but I paid with cash. They also have strawberry rhubarb pie. There is parking out front but we parked down the street by the ice cream shop.

First time trying out a meal prep company. I was getting unhappy with eating unclean all the time…read moresince I live out of a hotel during work travel. I could find "healthy" restaurants, or I could eat super clean by having Nourish Meal Prep. Here's my experience trying out the latter. Since I fly in late on Mondays, I'm unable to take up the option of ordering a week's worth of meal prep since their pick-up times on Monday are until 7. Fortunately, Nourish Meal Prep offers a grab-n-go service Sunday - Thursday from 11:30AM to 5:30PM so I can come during my lunch break Tuesdays to pick up meals. They have $10/11/13/14 options depending on portion size and content. They categorize their meals into "Fit," "Lifestyle," "Performance," and "Endurance" - more info is on their website. Fortunately they had plenty of options this week! Wild cod, ground turkey, ground beef, flank steak, chicken, veggie power meals, paleo, etc. Everything is gluten-free. I was able to meet one of the owners, Meredith, today and she was a very gracious, friendly lady. We had a good chat and when I mentioned that I found a warped piece of plastic in last week's meal that I had picked up she appreciated the information. Hopefully, there won't be any more such incidents. She also packed up my 3 meals into one of their cooler bags as well as a huge ice pack since I was going to take it back to the office. How nice! Because of this pleasant interaction with her today that made me feel better about that warped plastic situation, I am rounding up to 4 stars. The food is certainly wholesome and tastes pretty good too. The locally-raised steak I had today was super quality and I am a fan of all the organic produce they use. If healthy is what you're looking for, Nourish Meal Prep is where you want to go. As their slogan says, "Cook Less. Live More."
