As someone who used to be a stagehand, and also just a person who's been to weddings where the entertainment just gets it wrong, I had VERY high standards when it came to selecting a DJ for my wedding. It's what makes or breaks your event. LJDJs won me over at that expo, and after I did my due diligence of interviewing a few of the other big names in our area, I knew LJDJs was still a level above. As a covid bride, I couldn't be more thankful to have had Jack Bermeo and LJDJs on my team. Throughout many postponements and a ton of changes, Jack was always my hype man, quick to adjust to the changes and totally got my vision. To us, he quickly became a friend. Coming off my wedding last night, I could not have been more happy with Jack and the team. The vision was executed flawlessly, the dance floor was full all night, and the biggest testament to our partnership with Jack is that I don't think a single guest had to request a song all night. Every song choice and transition was just everything. I also requested with my setup a live freestyle saxophonist, something that I think makes any and every song punchier and brings such a vibey energy. He always listened to me and was kind enough to listen to me vent (sorry - and thanks for not blocking me!). I can't explain how perfect my wedding day was. The music was just what we wanted. The guests had a blast and Jack kept everyone on the dance floor! The photo booth was sort of a last minute addition and we're so happy we decided to add it! The photo booth attendant was so kind and patient! The photographer and videographer were also very, very patient with me. I wanted specific pictures/videos and they made sure to do just that. A mere 3 months before our wedding I couldn't take it anymore and we finally fired him, which felt freeing until I realized we had assembled an incredible dream team of vendors, but had no idea how to pull it all together for our big day. After getting a recommendation from our amazing photographer (Kelsey Combe) and reading glowing reviews, I reached out to Kate, desperate and nervous. We immediately connected with Kate's calming, soothing demeanor on our first phone call and she was (thankfully!) willing to take on our wedding and right all the wrongs of our previous planner. Kate was an absolute angel (and I don't say this lightly!), who was patient, kind, insanely organized and professional and went above and beyond in executing my original vision. She fully embraced all of the wacky ideas we had (vinyl records as party gifts? sure! multiple disco balls? okay!) and brought so many out-of-the-box ideas to the table as well. Using her software, AislePlanner, made even the most annoying aspects of wedding planning (the dreaded seating charts) fun and simple. There's no rest for the wicked? False: there's literally no rest for wedding planners. I have no idea how Kate does it (and I'm a detail-oriented interior designer myself!), but she expertly crafted our best day ever and was the voice of reason (while being a kick-ass coordinator) on the day of our wedding. We booked him the following day for a virtual wedding ceremony to complete our marriage certificate application. Harris was very professional and prompt in responding to your emails. He was also able to accommodate our scheduled even though we gave him less than 24 hour notice. He was enthusiastic and clear. He made the whole process simple. We were able to do the virtual wedding ceremony though zoom within half an hour. I was able to submit the application back to the city clerk within the same day.

The ceremony was deeply moving with just the right amount of laughter. He even threw down some valuable marriage guidance and wisdom. My only regret is that we did not video the ceremony, it was so lovely! Logistically, Harris promptly responded to all emails, answered all questions and was right on time for the ceremony in Central Park.
