I was really happy with my threading and my Brazilian wax. The prices are very reasonable. The place was very clean and the owner/operator was very easy to talk to. I will say- I loved my services but the Brazilian wax is not for the shy. Haha! At one point I was on all 4's and felt completely comfortable with it because the owner was so easy going and nice to talk to. Not to mention she was extremely thorough. The best! Puza did my eyebrows, lip, same for my daughter. Daughter prefers waxing. My skin gets bumps from waxing so prefer threading. You never see salons with 5 stars, for the most part. I went for the first time, hoping for a more convenient place than the place in Arlington where I went for many years (Georgetown rejuvenation). Oh boy am I sorry. Probably set me back 6 mo to a year. I'm in my 40s and so my eyebrows are thinning in all the wrong places, as happens with many of us as we age. I told her I just want a little cleanup and that I wish I had thick eyebrows, which I thought was a hint to err on the side of leaving more hairs. In hindsight what I should have done is been much more specific. The lady at my old place in Arlington showed me with a mirror exactly what she recommended, which required some growth. So for the past 18 mo we've worked toward that even though the lower inner brow area was still quite sparse. I assumed this place would either see what I'd been working toward or ask if she had a question. But instead she just threaded away at warp speed while talking to 3 separate walkins in the brief 10 minutes I was in her chair (I had an appointment btw, and arrived 5 min early). When she was done she didn't offer a mirror, just sent me on my way. I quickly paid, gave a 50% tip since it was only $10 and walked to the car. Then when I saw what she did my heart sank. My eyebrows are soooo thin! I'm going to call it 60% my fault for not forcing more conversation and 40% her fault for not initiating the same important conversation for a first timer. Thus the 3 starts. At least it was really low cost. But it's a painful reminder that you get what you pay for. read more

I am a very hairy person (talk about dealing with threading and waxing for 15+ years); I can quickly judge a place within the first visit. All I can say is that this place is a GEM in McLean. Let's start with Pooja - she has regularly waxed/threaded my face and body numerous times. Her attention to detail is impeccable, and she uses techniques to ensure that you don't feel the pain. Most people are bad at both (if your dropping money on hair removal services, you should NOT come home with hairs). The best part - she knows how to shape your eyebrows so they look so amazing. Not only that, the place is big and everyone has such an amazing/friendly vibe. Not once have I experienced any negativity. Pooja always has a big smile when she greets you. FYI - This place takes appointments, I'd suggest making one to avoid a wait. They are getting busier every week, so it's hard to just drop in because of the lines. read more
