This was my first time ever doing a Brazilian or under arms waxing. I was extremely nervous but it completely went away once i met Sarah! She listened to me and completely guided me through the entire process, consistently reassuring me. She gave me a quick head up before every strip. An update based on the comment from the business- You're the one who was rude to me Ms. Mara P. and waved bye. I did not demand to be taken right away. Do not lie. I was talking to an employee and YOU interrupted and started being rude. Every time I couldn't make it, I informed. I also informed that day, that I'm running late. If you're going to be in the service industry then LEARN customer service and take some training. I also have no interest in giving you my business! If you can't correct your unprofessional behavior, at least stop lying and responding with false information! Can you imagine being a regular customer for 5 years and then one day you're 10 minutes late to an appointment and they give your spot to someone else. And then when you show up ten minutes late and request to be accommodated they say they can't and act bizarre. The manager waved bye to me! I was stunned by her unprofessional behavior! When I complained to the management, they said ' we cannot accept you as a customer anymore'. I guess I shouldn't be surprised because one unprofessional would employ another unprofessional and rude person. I used to go there for Lynn and I love her. The ladies are super sweet, I've been going here every month or so for the last six months. I always get my eyebrows waxed and also some upper lip/forehead. I've gotten my brows tinted a few times as well. First, let's talk eyebrows. I remember being apprehensive the first time I went, since she didn't bother drawing anything on and showing me before she begin waxing. This was different than my previous experiences at Ulta's Benefit Brow Bar. After the first time, I learned...they REALLY know what they're doing! My eyebrows looked perfect and natural. Since then, they do an awesome job every time I go. Additionally, the few times I did a brow tint, they looked great. They told me exactly what to expect the very first time and how to care for it. They started off with a lighter shade, but told me if I thought it was too light, they'd redo it for free. And that's just what they did! I made an appointment yesterday for this morning after reading everyone's reviews, specifically for eyebrow tinting and waxing. So being a first time customer I loved the fact that I was greeted immediately by a friendly staff. I waited a few mins before going into the room where I met Sarah, and as everyone mention she is AMAZING!! Super funny and quirky and makes you feel really relaxed. The whole process took about 10-15mins, but throughout the whole thing she asked me how I was doing, showed me how my eyebrows looked and was very attentive. Today was my first time at Express Waxing and I have to say I'm very pleased! Sarah was awesome! Soon as I arrived I was greeted with a smile by the receptionist. After a particularly lazy week, I looked down at my leg and realized I may have just let my hair grow out enough to get waxed. Since I had a concert to go to later that night, and figured I'd pass out if I wore pants, I tried to make an appointment ASAP. 15 minutes later, I walked into Express Waxing and they took me right in. There was a brief awkward moment where my waxer opened a door and someone else was in the room, and naked. I felt awful for that girl. They need some system to know which rooms are occupied... perhaps leaving the doors to the unoccupied rooms open. Because my hair was a bit too short, my waxer offered to do a strip test to see if she could wax. I appreciated that she said honestly, if I waxed that day, it would only be 80-90% effective, and she let me choose if I wanted to leave. I decided to move forward - hey - at least i'll have to shave less. As for the wax, I'm not sure how she did it... but it barely hurt. It was amazing. That alone is worth the extra bit of money to come here vs. somewhere else. My leg was done fairly speedily, but, my bikini area took much more time, because I have very stubborn hair. She went over the area three times, and still some wouldn't come out. I appreciated the effort, but almost a week later am still irritated, so I'm not sure that it was worth it. I don't know if skin is meant to take being waxed three times. But, the woman said she did it because "I pity you". Nice sentiment, kind of rude execution. My waxer was not a native English speaker and had a very thick accent, and so I had an incredibly hard time understanding her. I don't think she intended to be rude.
