what can i say...Mcleod and the entire team was awesome during the buying and selling process Over the past couple of months my wife and I sold our condo and purchased a new house at the same time. First time home buyer. It's hard to express my gratitude to the folks at McLeod for how easy and transparent they made the home buying process. They have very good knowledge of the area I was interested in (Covina, Azusa, West Covina, and surrounding area). I had so many questions about everything but everyone I communicated with was extremely helpful and thorough in helping me understand-- and when they didn't know the answer right away they get back with an accurate digestible answer very quickly. I thought I was ready in to jump in in June and initially reached out but changed my mind due to changing circumstances. I suggested they work with the McLeod Team because I know from experience that they would explain everything, every step of the way. I would never give a recommendation on such a huge, life changing purchase like this to any of my friends, unless I experienced it for myself. They let her purchase a home that had a pool where you could clearly see bubbling at the side, which ended up being the roots from a tree. As we sit here in our apartment outside Lisbon, Portugal, we are SO thankful for the services rendered by these remarkable professionals. At every step of the way, they were totally on the case, from paperwork to marketing to pricing for the market to juggling competing offers to dealing with buyers' agents. Darwin, our main contact and team leader for our home's sale, was a delight to work with, and hypercompetent (if that's even a word, but if it's not, it certainly describes his home selling skills). This was our first house sale, and we'd lived in it for nearly 30 years, so the process gave us all the feels, and Darwin sailed those occasionally tumultuous seas with the skill of a four-star admiral. He and his team were in constant communication throughout the process, managed to get us multiple offers, and transitioned seamlessly into the backup plan when the first escrow fell through. Updated review now that we've closed: I wish I was better with words but I've never been good at putting my feelings into words. I hope I can do justice to this team. The entire home buying process was a breeze. By breeze I mean IT FELT easy. Now we all know home buying isn't easy and requires so much work. But this team too all the guesswork out. We were on calls and texts daily up until we closed. It didn't matter if we were texting after hours or on the weekend, this team was there for us. We were able to get pre approved, look at homes and close within 35 days. Can you believe it!!!! In the market we're in, I am in awe of this team. The HIGHLIGHT- I didn't even realize til the day we closed- but we weren't their only client as much as it felt that way with the way they spoiled us with attention. When your agent and his team make you feel like they're not busy with any other client, THAT'S something you can't find often. The way they turned us into homebuyers and created these relationships with us, I will be forever grateful and humbled. Agents are in the selling business, but we were never sold anything.
