This evening, I visited McNellie's South City for dessert. After entering the restaurant, I was promptly seated and offered a glass of water. Since it was a Sunday evening, the restaurant was pretty empty. Despite this, with a soccer game playing on TV, it was a relaxed but lively atmosphere. I had previously tried the carrot cake at the other Tulsa location, so I decided to try the brownie tonight. The brownie was warm and tasted fresh. While it wasn't as good as a homemade brownie, I still enjoyed it. The ice cream was an excellent topping, and the cool temperature of the ice cream was a nice contrast to the warm temperature of the brownie. Between the two dessert choices, I enjoyed the carrot cake a lot more.

I have not been inside a McNellies in a good decade however our in laws stopped by and wanted to treat them to some drinks. (Even though we don't drink) they had plenty of non alcoholic options. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip and it was whipped. Then we split the beef tips shepherd pie thing and it was amazing. Will def be back

St Paddy's Day fail. Underwhelming. Closed at 11pm. Chili came cold. St. Bernardus came in an 8 ounce party cup (over a dollar an ounce) served on paper plates and styrofoam with plastic ware. Server was nice and kind. Juice wasn't worth the squeeze. Lame sauce. Used to be great.

The food was okay, basic Mcnellies but the server for our group would make eye contact as we ask to order then keep walking... she forgot our sauce, and the drink was whack. We literally had to have several people wave the server down even to get our order in. Ambiance was eh. The strawberry essence was a nah, wouldn't order again.

Haven't been here since 2016 apparently they changed the fish last week. It was good we got the fish and chips but I substituted for a Greek salad and my husband subbed his for tabouli it was very good but I will say I preferred the fish before because it was a light batter still has good as I remember but now I have lunch and dinner was plenty of food! I swear the fish before was long thin pieces with light batter but every picture I see on here doesn't look like what I remember; I really did prefer the old style because it was light and not heavy; as someone who has diet restrictions because of my health we went here today because of the old fish and chips ( it wasn't as healthy as I should eat because breading but it was good!)

McNellie's "The Original Charburger" may be an overlooked sleeper. My wife had the burger. I had the Fish and Chips. The fish portion was a slab, bigger than a fisherman's lie. On the side, a combo mixture of crisp fries, or "chippies" if you prefer. Enough for two people. (check the Photos) The tarter sauce was a little funky tasting, but that was OK, because in true Irish fashion I prefer the Malt Vinegar. The burger was excellent. It appeared to be a half pound patty. It was cooked to text book perfection Medium Rare. Grill lines and a crisp char flavor finish. Just as my wife ordered it. Complete with L,T,P,O& M, hold the Mayo. Along with it, more delicious fries than you can eat. Rayleen was our server. She was covering a busy area of the restaurant. But she did a great job, all with a friendly smile. The restaurant has a comfortable pub atmosphere. If you have not tried a McNellie's "The Original Charburger" you need to get it on your list

So, first of all, let me say I was a bit stumped when we found ourselves in South Tulsa needing a place for dinner, something that wasn't a chain or outrageously expensive. After one misstep, we ended up at McNellie's. I forget about this location. The chicken salad was amazing and as always, the burgers are better than average. Service was great and I found a new "canned" wine I really like. (I'm open for new suggestions for dining in this area though but it's good to know McNellie's is there.)

ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! The service was amazing and the waitress was very kind and attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. We got the cheese curds for our appetizer and they were so good, crispy and delicious! I got a cup of potato leek soup which was so comforting and warm. My husband got fish and chips and loved them, it was super flavorful and not dry at all. I got the blackened chicken Mac and cheese. It tasted a bit like Cajun Mac but it was sooo good and very flavorful. Loved the homemade cheese sauce. The ambience was great, dark and cozy and perfect for a date. Overall I would love to come back as it was a 10/10 experience!

McNellie's is authentically Irish. They have a large selection of beers and all of the popular Irish ones. It has a good Irish feel. Dan and I split an order of fish and chips. The fish was high quality and the breading was light and crispy as opposed to the heavy battered fish. The service was excellent and there's ample parking. They have lunch specials Monday through Friday and also daily specials including $5 burgers on Mondays. They also have pint night. There's plenty of outdoor seating and a large friendly bar area. You can download an app and scan your receipts for bonuses. If you haven't tried McNellie's, you are missing out on a good Irish pub.

I see that there is Burger Night on Wed 5 - 11 pm but I can't find an explanation about what that means anywhere?

you get a burger & fries for $5. it comes with the fixings, anything as an add-on (like cheese) will be charged extra.

We opted for this Irish themed pub last night for dinner, and can't say enough about the service, food and atmosphere. McNellie's (sounds Irish, right?) is located on one of the seemingly lonely streets near downtown, and came highly recommended by our hotel barista. The ambiance is definitely Irish-pub--dark wood, old wooden floors and walls of exposed brick--definitely a cool sanctuary from the oppressive summer heat and humidity. And what better way to quench your thirst and beer curiosity than choosing from hundreds of beers both on tap and bottled. For the local beer enthusiasts there is a Centennial club which rewards frequent imbibers with gifts leading up to the coveted pottery mug! Our server, McKayla--was delightful. She definitely enjoyed serving us, and offered recommendations good service and conversation. The summer salad caught my wife's eye, and she enjoyed the fresh mix of roasted pistachios, cheese, watermelon and mango. I jumped at the fish and chips, which I can honesty was the best I've ever had--topping what we had years ago at an English pub by a mile. McNellie's fish portion was large, and the batter was flavorful and cooked to perfection. I was a little surprised with the small portion of chips (fries), as most establishments seem give you lot, but I guess I was thankful in a way. With some beer left in our glasses, we decided to order a plate of fries (white and sweet) for desert! If you like beer and good Irish comfort food, McNellie's is a sure bet!

(also there is one day of the week, not sure if it's on tuesdays or wednesdays they offer a "special discount burger deal") thank you again for the very thoughtful "happy birthday wishes", and free slice of cake for my birthday. had been very tough week, and their thoughtfulness and kindness was an unexpected, and very nice surprise. really needed some kindness that day. thank you, I'm very grateful. give them a try and bon appetite. doc
