I was really impressed behind the attitude and swift work ethic of both the servers and buss-boys/buss-girls. Apparently, they're not big on to go orders past 830. Called at 8:33 and asked if I could place an order for pick up and was told it was too late. The irony, if I walked in at 8:45, they would sit me down to eat. If you don't wanna do anything past 830 why are you open until 9pm. read more

I consider myself the queen of sauce and I don't take this role lightly. The Mac and cheese has a very good rich sauce and I recommend adding the taco beef and tomato's. The buffalo chicken wrap has very good flavors HOWEVER there is too much sauce in it, even for the sauce queen. The tater tots paired with ranch is delectable 10/10. This location has street parking and parking in the back. The entrance is on the side of the building, no entrances on Peoria. The building itself is cool with the old marque. We were seated right away in a booth and there is a bit of a diner feel. The service was decent, our waitress checked in periodically for refills. The food is a bit greasy so get extra napkins. The portion size is good, you definitely won't leave hungry. I got the Ruben and enjoyed it. I would have liked the fries to be a little bit more crispy. The prices are decent. read more

Went for a Father's Day lunch. Portions are big, flavors were excellent. I had fish and chips, my dad and his wife split a chicken fry and salad, my wife had steak fingers which was like 3 normal chicken fry steak. Prices were about average for the area. food - i worked at the brook before, and have tried many items from the menu. however, i dont remember ever getting the caesar salad, which i ordered today and quite enjoyed. also, i got a sierra mist, though sprite is my favorite spicy water, but it came in a jumbo size pepsi fountain drink, which is one standout feature of dining at the brook. service - i sat at the bar top and was waited on by colleen, who i think did a good job. she and i know each other from when i worked at the restaurant, though i dont think this influenced her great service, as i also noticed her being engaging with other guests, while also being friendly and attentive with me. the food was also delivered to me expeditiously, to reference t.i. ambiance - the atmosphere was good as usual, lots of tvs going, showing sports games. not too crowded this saturday afternoon. read more

Came here for lunch during the week while staying in Tulsa for a conference. The menu had a lot of options for our group. I opted for the turkey burger with pasta salad. The turkey burger was delicious! It had a great mayo type sauce on the burger. The pasta salad as a side choice was huuuuuge! This was also good. Others in our group enjoyed their sandwiches as well. The steak fajitas are complete and utter garbage. Small amount for the money, about 7-8 small strips. Almost 100% GRISTLE. IMPOSSIBLE to eat. I chewed and chewed and had to spit 80-90% of the meat into napkins. GROSS! I'm allergic to lettuce and chose "no lettuce" for all my food. I chose "Low carb" for the fajitas, assuming it meant low carb tortillas, since fajitas are inherently low carb as is. I received NO tortillas at all. But I did receive 4 LARGE LETTUCE WRAP LEAVES. I double-checked the receipt. I DID NOT order "lettuce wrap" I chose "Low carb." So, no tortillas and my cheese covered in lettuce, Which I can't eat, so no cheese either. The onions and green peppers were almost raw, so I spent $18 + fees, etc. for door dash to end up with napkins full of nasty steak. The chicken nachos and queso with ground meat were ok. We were out walking around a park thinking about lunch when a lady came by. We asked for a recommendation and she told us about this place. Her opinion did not disappoint. Nice looking exterior and interior. Comfortable booths. Clean restrooms. Our waitress was very friendly and accommodating. I had the Swiss mushroom burger and Deb had the French Dip. I have never had a bad experience at The Brook. We choose the Brook often because there are a lot of options, it's consistent, service is friendly, and it's a comfortable environment with some history added into the mix (: I usually go for the fried chicken wrap, and it honestly blows other chicken wraps out of the water (and I'm very picky about chicken wraps). I always get an extra side of ranch to dip my wrap in as well, because I'm that girl. My husband tried the blackened chicken sandwich this time and said it was great! And yes, I know there are a lot of fries in these pics. I ordered Mac and cheese as my side, and they accidentally gave me fries, which they quickly corrected, and so I had both in this trip. Hadn't been here for a while. Needed sustenance after an event and this was the perfect choice. Besides, thankfully, some things never change and I needed those shrooms! Hubby thoroughly enjoyed his fish and chips as well. Very generous wine pour. Could pretty much recommend their burgers, quesadillas, other apps, etc. Noticed some wear and tear, but it's been here, unchanged (except for enclosing the patio which I'll never agree with) for years. I'm super sad to see this has only 3 1/2 stars. I have loved the Brooke since I moved to Tulsa 11 years ago! There is something for pretty much everyone. However, This is typically the place I go to when wanting to have something fattening and yum! Definitely a feel good restaurant. I love the buffalo chicken salad and queso. I've gone to The Brook a few times if I'm the mood for a menu full of Bar Food and a sloppy (somehow greasy and sticky, at the same time) atmosphere. Tonight will be the last time I eat there. I placed a to-go order. I was told it would take 15-20 min. I got there at the time it should have been done PAID for my order and waited an additional 25min. When I expressed frustration with the length of time it was taking she hurried back and magically arrived with my order 45 min after placing it. I asked to talk to the manager. He came over and I again expressed my frustration with waiting 45 min for a to-go order. He didn't apologize or seem interested at all in empathizing with my wait time. I asked him to discount or reimburse me for my order. At which time he took my ALREADY PAID FOR food off of the bar where I was waiting for my food. Of course because I had already PAID FOR MY FOOD I took my food. HE SNATCHED MY FOOD BACK OUT OF MY HAND!!! When CUSTOMERS are ordering to-go orders they are paying the exact same amount for the food, tipping the exact same amount for the ticket price and the restaurant is doing 80% less work (I worked in restaurants for 12+ years I'm NYC... I know EXACTLY what I'm talking about. I have the experience in Spades.) If a table had sat and waited 45 min for their food... The restaurant manager (and I use the term very loosely for this novice) would have comped their meal or at least discounted it. Every patron should have their time and their money respected. The floor was sticky and the atmosphere depilated. I wanted to leave but my daughter was starving. When I went to the restroom, you go past an opening into the kitchen and I looked in I could see the floor covered with fried food. I wish I would've had my phone. On a positive note, service was good The food was ok. Large portions. The pomegranate margarita was tasty but I felt greasy the entire time I was in there! My wife had been craving wings and we were in the area. I'm vegan and had to explain what that meant to the staff, but they were happy to accommodate by preparing the impossible vegan. It was as delicious as an impossible burger usually is! Okay... I know, my last few reviews have had a negative tone. It seems Tulsa is going through allot of the same things other cities go through. The pool of service workers is getting thinner, the best are obviously moving to those restaurants and companies that have a solid culture that appreciates them. The Brook has suffered over the past two years. I don't blame the personnel directly, it is obvious the culture of the management has either changed or been lost. The Hostess, if you can call teenagers without a care, clue or any identifiable personality Hostesses. They are obviously filling a position Management views as unimportant. They have no ability, after seats are rejected: first, I don't like bar stool seating, second; two adults, no kids, do not get set next to a 10 years olds birthday party. Once they complain and get moved, you don't then fill the tables closest to them with people dining with their four obnoxious children. Last, the serving staff, who I really want to love and appreciate, well... you just can't. A bit snotty, overworked, overwhelmed, short, rude and showing... they just don't give a sh!$. The only staff that hasn't left is the rude, short, snotty "servers" that I would bet cause most of the turnover. It is a shame to watch an institution I once lived, die... You have become a bar and that is where you have focused your attention. You would serve us all better by closing the restaurant and focus on the myriad drinkers with their bar snacks. read more

Great place to eat if you are in Tulsa! We definitely underestimated the portion size and had a lot of leftovers!! When traveling, eating out can rack up a bill. Prices here were fantastic. The pics below don't do it justice. Flavorful! Very nice staff. Clean place. Just wonderful atmosphere and food overall. What more could you ask for? The only pic missing is my son's food.
