I took in a stray cat that was in rough shape and they got him patched up and restored to good health. During the first visit, he was deemed to weak to receive vaccinations so I made a follow up appointment for the next week. Upon my second visit, they worked with me to accommodate my work schedule and offered me the option of dropping him off early in the morning and picking him up at the end of the day. I was greatly relieved because he was able to receive all his vaccines that day in addition to getting neutered. The entire staff were polite and you could tell they genuinely care about your animal. What they charged me was also extremely reasonable considering it's Cashiers. It brings me great peace of mind knowing there are dedicated professionals so close by who can tend to my cats health. Highly recommend.

We noticed one of our dogs were limping and had a swollen paw so I took him to Bonnie Brae. Being from out of state we were nervous to go to a different vet. They were so kind on the phone and immediately figured us into their busy schedule. The hospital makes you wait in your car and then call or text to check in. Once a room is available they bring you in. If you are not vaccinated they require you to wear a mask. Dr. Buchanan saw my dog and all my worries melted away. He is extremely intelligent and kind. He even got down on the ground and sat with my dog while he was checking his foot. I had lots of questions and he easily answered them. He gave me the information for an emergency after hours vet if needed as well. Overall the staff here is impeccable and truly want the best for your animal. Yesterday I took our Springier their because he was not eating. Dr Ann and her assistant started roughly treating him. He was shacking so badly that you could have strapped a paint can to him to shack it. Then she started berating for being an irresponsible pet owner. She stated that this dog has not been cared for properly nor been under the care of a vet. At this point I decided to take my dog else where and Dr. Ann told me that his issues were heart related. They were not. Her accusations that our pets do not receive proper care are baseless - we have had two of our other dogs there and spent thousands of dollars there. I WOULD NEVER TAKE AN ANIMAL THERE! WHEN SHE IS GOOD SHE IS GOOD - BUT BASED ON HOW SHE TREATED MY DOG AND SPOKE TO ME IS UNACCEPTABLE. IF YOU LOVE YOUR DOG AVOID THIS PLACE!

When a practice has an entire giant room dedicated to expensive non proven vet only food, you can get the vibe. OWe took our cat, who has had asthma his entire life in when he got a cold (URI) and they wanted $1000 of treatment and tests including an MRI. If you took your child to a pediatrician for a cold, and he wanted to do an MRI ... you would go elsewhere. Anyway, they hold your pet for ransom with inflated costs, unnecessary tests and when you question it, as I did with the office manager, they become quite nasty. Among the most aggressive customer disservice I have experienced in my 66 year lifetime. BTW, they also own the Bryson City Vet, which uses the same model. We found a legitimate vet that we travel to an hour and a half round trip, that is far, far better.

I had a dog that needed surgery and they kept forgetting the staples when it was time to remove them. The first time I brought my dog in I was totally understandable. People made mistakes. But after I brought my dog in a third time because of Staples they forgot. My dog finally had to be put down because of infection they caused. Because I complained and gave them a bad review they banned me from the practice. I don't even think they should be allowed to have Cherokee on the name. Because they're not in Cherokee and they are not Cherokee. I really wish we had a vet in Cherokee.
