Walk! ATX Pet Care

Like others I live off of reviews so giving you guys the raw version for all my over protective pet…read moreparents like myself. This review is only based off of my experience/ first impressions and this business may work amazingly for your dog! Once I found Walk ATX it took me a while to get in contact with someone, called a couple times, left a voicemail, sent a couple emails -to no avail! Sent a dm on insta as a last resort and finally got in contact with someone! Yay! Erika helped me set up my account and went over daycare. Dropped my pup off for his first day! First impressions matter to me and as someone who is nervous I would have loved to see them greet my dog. Instead the woman at the front ( not sure her name - mullet - immediately went into a quick " take off the leash. What's his name? You'll get an update at 11" And then I watched her usher him straight to the backyard. No saying hi to the dog, no convo with me, no easing his nerves, no questions about him, no petting him, no introductions, nothing. I didn't love that, especially since it was our first time and it made me much more nervous to drop him off there. Around 11:00 I started to look for updates, none. Tried to call 3 times, no answer. Again this is his first day so not hearing anything on how he was doing and getting no photos - nerves then rose to an all time high. People are allowed to have bad days so will update this after a few more times. Just know the first day is not as informative or warm may not be as warm as you'd expect.

Our boy Mo aka Molty aka Moshi has been coming to Walk ATX since 2022. As many of you, our doggo is…read moreour family and we want only the best of the best for him. It is difficult to find a doggy boarding/day care that provides such well rounded, holistic approach to pet care. We have used Walk ATX for boarding, day camp with pick up and drop off included, and for in home check ins with walks. As well as their add-ons like baths and fun photoshoots. Mo is a party animal - we are constantly training, working with him and we fill all of his needs. Yet he is an energetic, happy 2.5yo rescue from Austin Pets Alive. He is a foster win actually. He's always soooo excited when he realizes he's about to get dropped off at Walk ATX and he's welcomed with big smiles and a huge "Hi Mo!!!!!" by the passionate and hard working staff. Walk ATX does pack walks, outdoor playtime in their yard with staff assigned to different groups of dogs. I love that there's constant supervision and a structured day. Including rest/down time, which is just as important as to not overstimulate the doggos. It seems as if Walk ATX has only gotten better over the years. They've incorporated training, special add-ons, and cool adventures. Last time Mo stayed with them while we were in Costa Rica, Britton and the team were super attentive (Mo was on limited activity for the first few days per our vet), and even called to give an update, in addition to their daily updates via email and on their app "Time to Pet". I know Mo is cared for and looked after by a group of caring animal lovers.

Taurus Bark&Zoom

Well, I can't believe I haven't written a review yet - but better late than never! My dog, Jet, has…read morebeen coming to Bark & Zoom for 7 years, practically since they opened, and we couldn't be happier. There are so many positives to highlight. First, I really appreciate the rotating play and rest schedule that Taurus/Bark & Zoom uses, which differs from other facilities in the area. It's been a fantastic fit for Jet, especially when he was younger and would be tired but had a bit of FOMO when other dogs were playing and wouldn't know when to rest. At other facilities without this structure, he'd end up overtired and overstimulated from hours of endless play with 25 other dogs and poor trainer/dog ratios leaving minimal staff supervision. Bark & Zoom's approach (focus on temperament and smaller groups) has been a much better fit and Jet has thrived in this environment comparatively. The staff here has always been wonderful and so loving toward Jet as well. Years ago, there was a team gathering at Yardbar where Jet ran right up to the staff, thrilled to see them, and they immediately recognized and showered him with affection. Interactions like this validate the level of positive care he receives across several services including board-and-train, daycare, or boarding. Aside from great care, the convenience of their 24-hour model right by the airport is seriously unbeatable. As someone in the aviation industry, the flexibility to drop off and pick up at unconventional hours has been a lifesaver. I'm so grateful to Bark & Zoom for accommodating my unpredictable schedule time and time again throughout all of these years. This past year has been challenging as Jet battles lymphoma. He's experienced multiple remissions and relapses, and as he slows down and needs more care, the staff has been wonderfully supportive, bringing comfort to me on days when I can't be with him. There are SO many wonderful people here, but I'd like to give a special shoutout to Jess and Mackenzie. They've known Jet since before their well-deserved promotions and have always treated him like family. I appreciate y'all (and everyone) so much!

The staff is incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and just overall attuned to all the things that come with managing an incredibly busy boarding/training facility. Anything my pups need, they get! And if there is ever a question about something, they are always prompt to call or text me to dicuss. I simply can't express my gratitude and love for this group of people; I life would spin off its axis without them! And I must add, who doesn't love getting photos and report cards about their pups while you're out of town!?! They truly care, and it shows! Thank you B&Z team, for all you do!

Ashley and All My Pet Services AMPS have been our go-to pet sitters for going on three years and we…read morehave had nothing but positive experiences in that time. More than 10 occasions, including one where we were travelling in Europe for two full weeks. We have two geriatric pets (one dog, one cat) and they require more specific care due to age-related health issues. On top of that, our dog is socially reactive so we needed to find a professional who could administer medications as needed and also manage our Pup's grumpy personality. I am happy to report that Ashley has not only checked those boxes consistently, but she has also gone above and beyond to be helpful on the occasions where we had pet-related health issues when we were out of town. We can rest easy any time we travel knowing that Ashley is taking exceptional care of our pet family. 10/10, would highly recommend.

I found AMPS through Google and Yelp and with both platforms boasting 5 star reviews for this company, there was no need to look any further. I was able to book my consultation online and Ashley arrived at our home as schedule. It was very easy talking to her and due to her experience, she was very familiar with the electronics that we use for our cats. Ashley took detailed notes and her services also included bringing in the mail, packages and even taking out our trash! We received daily photos and updates on our babies and we did not have any issues or concerns while we were away. We are extremely grateful to AMPS and I have already recommended them to other friends.
