What should have been a simple procedure turned into an awful experience. The staff member attempted to draw my blood three separate times and still couldn't do it properly. It was painful, stressful, and honestly unacceptable. I left feeling physically sore and completely frustrated. After nearly a decade of loyalty, being put through something like that without any sign of competence or accountability is beyond disappointing. He said "my reaction to this book is as negative as it is strong. There is no place for a publication such as this one" and "It only adds to public misinformation, confusion and mistrust". And again: "Freedom of the press relies as much on the honesty and responsibility of the writer as on the government that supports it" - basically calling Dr HJ Roberts a liar and a cheat. Dr. HJ Roberts didn't have to redo the scientific research in (t)his layman's book - the peer reviewed science was already done by many others. At that time Drs HJ Roberts and Russell Blaylock, Alan R.Gaby, Woodrow C Monte, Mercola (and countless others) objected to Rolla Arturo's conclusion that NutraSweet was safe. Before the book was written there was a laundry list of serious negative consequences. They could all see it in their clinics. It never was safe (1)and nobody knows just how many suffered and how many saw an early grave of the many (breast, liver, colon. rectal & bladder) cancers it caused. As a man who avoids medical treatment and relies on brute masculinity to get by, the threshold for visiting an urgent care for a wound is high. After losing approximately 99% of my total blood capacity (give or take), it was determined that stitches were unavoidable. My wife wouldn't let me use the staple gun to perform the procedure myself, so off to urgent care we went. Upon arrival, I was immediately struck by how remarkably clean and modern the office looked. After just a couple of minutes for registration and another couple of minutes in the waiting room, I was called back by a very pleasant medical assistant - I believe her name was Nicole (I'm not 100% sure because I couldn't read her badge because I had something in my eyes, definitely not tears) who was patient and kind even though I wasn't quite myself that day and may have been a bit short with her, possibly due to the nearly complete loss of blood. She efficiently cleansed the wound and prepped everything for the PA, Rachel, who seemed equally pleasant. Rachel explained what her approach was going to be and assured me that this, in fact, a major major injury. Though I told her that the pain medication wasn't necessary, she numbed the thumb and put in 6 stitches. She then cleaned everything up and gave pretty clear instructions for the aftercare. I think that it is important to note that my wife complimented Rachel's suturing technique and thought she did a great job. My experience at the Milford Regional Urgent Care in Medway was surprisingly excellent from start to finish...even though I was only there for a total of 45 minutes. As a man who is slow to seek medical care, I would definitely recommend this urgent care, and Nicole and Rachel specifically, for your next major laceration repair.

He took care of our son from birth until almost 2 when we moved away, so about 8-10 checkups plus sick visits. He was responsive, kind, caring, and has an awesome bedside manner with little ones. He always cited up to date research and condensed it in an understandable way. He advised us on medical issues but also child development and just parenting. If you are anywhere near Stoughton I strongly encourage you to make Dr. Betances your child's pediatrician.
