Thinking about the experience - the office policy does not allow for switching care teams. The…read moreoffice in Franklin near stop and shop is undergoing renovations. Please read other reviews as well.

The care I received from Jake and Maddy were good and a pleasant experience. However, the front…read moreoffice gave me incorrect information about my insurance benefits. This was my first PT experience and I was told that I was going to have a $40 co-pay per visit, which I figured would be like my PCP where no deductible was at play. Even on the intake form, I initialed that I only had a $40 co-pay per visit. I ended up visiting 5 times and every time they took a $40 co-pay. More than two months later, I unexpectedly get a bill for $400! I called the billing office and they confirmed that I was given incorrect information about my benefits by the office staff, and that my deductible did apply in this case. Had I known that and had knowledge about how much each visit was going to cost me, I likely would have not scheduled additional visits and continued my rehab at home. Even though the billing office confirmed that bad information was given to me, they were unwilling to make it right. They are leaning on their disclaimer form, which makes them harmless for any mistakes made on their end. It's too bad patients don't have that type of protection. I have a pretty standard BCBS plan from what I understand. After the first visit was billed and paid, the practice should have notified me that my benefits were not as they were presented so that I could make an informed decision about future visits. Instead, they continued to only collect a co-pay and not notify me of the applicable deductible. I'm going to pay the bill but I wanted to post today to warn other patients to check your own insurance coverage prior to going to this practice. Additionally, I suggest that you inquire what the service fees and contracted rates are for your insurance coverage so that you can understand what potential patient responsibility you might have in the case that that they make another error in reading your benefits. Despite the good care, I will not be returning to this practice due to their unwillingness to right a mistake. I was willing to split the difference with them and pay $200, but they declined. Very disappointing.

Ok where do I begin. This is a difficult topic for me to discuss, and for many of you hardworking…read morepeople out there. It's one thing to have health issue and try to act normal. But it's a completely other thing to admit YOU NEED HELP. I own a business and try to pretend I am an independent woman. But when my health got in the way I asked my surgeon at Dana Garber what I should do. With no option for surgery I was devastated and didn't know where to go from there. Thought I'd have to give up on my business and collect Disability in my 30's. I've worked so hard in my life to be successful that this option was the end of my life. I thought I'd call the Franklin Pain and Wellness Center as a last resort. I came in to my first appointment ashamed. I don't know why but I felt like a failure asking for help. But I never EVER got treated that way by the Staff. For Nurses and Assistants in such a sensitive office environment I can't believe how empathetic and caring they are. (I don't mention Doctors cuz I've never met them. Who needs them when you have the best and most competent nurses I've ever met. And I've spent a lot of time I hospitals!) Just to understand me, I walk in assuming everyone is judging me. Not everyone is like me but just understand where this reviewer is coming from. I am greeted by happy faces by receptionists Nicole and Sam. I've been coming for over a year and I still wait for the judgment that never comes. Then I see Jenna or Melissa who ask the basics but yet still treat me like a human being, a human being that got dealt a crappy set of cards in health that i can't help. But yet I've never felt like anything less than an average joe which is wonderful! When you have chronic pain and illness, that is ALL you ask for. I just want to be normal! And lastly I meet with the nurse Tarsha, who is usually running around like a chicken cuz I personally think she's managing the whole office by herself cuz I rarely see the Doctors who's names are on the sign (sorry Docs, don't mean it as an insult but a compliment to your ladies) the Docs are usually in procedures maybe that's it. Tarsha is intense, I'll be honest I was a lil fearful when I first met her. She looks young , which tells me she is a driven and smart individual! But again, I think it goes back to my own personal complex of looking weak. But Tarsha really REALLY cares about what's going on with you personally. She goes above and beyond "being just a Nurse" and asks me how my life is going personally. I admit I don't think I could do the job these women do. They are so unbelievably caring and free of judgment it brings tears to my eyes. I don't know if they realize without their help and kindness I don't know if I could continue to be a biz owner and function properly. I am big on observing my surroundings and I just know their day-to-day can't be easy. That is why I felt compelled to write this review. So many people are quick to complain that sometimes that's the only side you see. I personally feel it necessary to write about people who changed my life.

The office is constantly rescheduling my appointments (sometimes even same day as appointment). Reception is rude and impatient. The doctors and NPs don't listen to me and don't believe me. They don't keep up with my prescriptions when it's time to be refilled or renewed when they are contacted for authorization. Often wait a very long time after my appointment to be seen.
