I wanted to take a moment to post a rave review about Z and Mary McT as they went over and above all expectations for the sale of our home in South Park. Z actually represented us when we purchased our home a couple years ago so when it was time to sell, it was a no brainer who we would choose to list the property. I wish I had more stars to give!!! McT Real Estate is simply the best there is... for selling and buying a home. We had a tricky situation where we began selling our house with a family member and it wasn't working out. We had seen Mary and Z's pink signs consistently sell homes in our neighborhood of Cherokee Point, just East of North Park so I set up interviews with her group and also a Redfin agent, which was only going to charge 1%. How happy we've been at every step that we chose Mary McT! We've had complex transactions that involved multiple contingencies, reverse mortgages, family trust sellers, challenging personalities, a changing market and, ultimately a 4 month escrow process! Through it all, her team was a joy to work with. So much so, that we hired her team-member Chaz Chase, to be our buying agent as well! Chaz looked at homes with me for more than three years before we found this one! Patience on the front end, and a mentality that allowed for one home and site (looking for land too) after another. When it came time to do the deal, Chaz pivoted into a great negotiation. His feel netted out to a 3.5% reduction in purchase price, and 3% of reductions/credits more. Deal took two months, and I think the longest time I had to wait to hear back about something important was two hours. Chaz is detail oriented, keeps you one step ahead of what's going, and is not ultimately interested in getting the deal done - he wanted the right deal for me so we walked away from many opportunities before landing on this one, which by far was the best choice out there, and he helped me find it. Chaz Chase was great to work with. As first time home buyers, we asked A LOT of questions and he gave us all the answers. We appreciated his transparency in the process and availability via email, FaceTime, and text. He was quick to schedule showings since the market is so hot, and he was always on time for showings (and wore a mask because we bought during Covid pandemic). He also recommended a good mortgage lender to us and because they had a preexisting relationship, we were able to work quickly and in unison. Overall, it was a pretty smooth process.
