After having my 2nd right hip revision surgery, my balance and strength left me as a fall risk. MD Home Health was in my insurance network. Jay (PT) and Blake (OT) are always on time. Do NOT use this company. Their call center, which handles all phone calls, is outsourced to I have no idea what country. The fact that they're outsourced is not the issue; it's how they deal with callers. The people who answer the phone are rude and incompetent. I was supposed to have services start the Monday after discharge from surgery. They changed their story each time I spoke to someone. They read my surgeon's referral incorrectly, if they read the body of the referral at all. They have a one-track mind, as if they're following a script. Don't ask them anything else, because they will ignore your question. They wouldn't have had someone here to do my intake until that Wednesday, which was 4 days after my discharge, and it would be a full week after discharge before I would have any services in place. Meanwhile, I haven't been able to shower for a week. I've used this company in the past only because they contracted with my insurance at the time. I have straight Medicare now, which gives me options. read more

So these assholes refused to pay out all the vacation time I accumulated and did not use because they were always too busy to give proper vacations. They don't care about you and don't care about you health or mental health as long as you keep quiet, and work for nothing. They owe me that money, I earned it!!! read more

I had the absolute best home care nurse. I was never treated like another name on her list for the day to check off. She cared about my situation and made her visits one I did not dread. She made sure to take extra care because she knew how painful my dressing change can be. And even went the extra mile with an extra step to ensure I was comfortable. I am so thank to Suzanne for taking such top notch care of me. When she had to be off a few days she made sure she set me up with another nurse who was just as great. Thank you, Jessica. I wish everyone could have such great nurses. I hope MD Home Health knows what great assets they have. read more

I am very disssapointed with the service that this company provided to my 81-year old ailing father. They discharged my dad while my dad is admitted in the the hospital. They said that there's only one nurse assigned in the area where we live. They should not run a business if they can't fulfill their commitment. My dad needs care and help and they refused to take him. Worse they did not even communicate to the family. We found out from the hospital's case manager. Very poor client service. read more

My home help from MD had the Thanksgiving weekend off. She reminded her boss, Alisha, of this the prior Monday, that I would need replacement care. Alisha didn't respond. She tried to get Alisha to confirm she had a replacement that Monday, Tues and Wed, by phone and text, but no response. Friday came and no one showed up. I called in and was told they would try to reach Alisha, but it was Alisha's day off, so she didn't have to respond, but they'd try and then call me back. I called 3x and 3x was told they'd look into this and call me back, including them saying they'd find someone to come Saturday instead. No callback, no help. I'm scheduled through ALTCS for 14 hrs/wk of care and got 6hrs. I still haven't heard back from a single person at MD as to why this happened and what they'll do to make sure I'm not left without aid again for 4 days straight and counting. No I would not recommend them, they can't be bothered to follow through or do their jobs, they apparently just don't care. read more

With a patient with complex needs, one becomes quickly educated on details of Medicare coverage. That's a good thing, because MD has a structure based on incorrect application of guidelines that put the patient at a disadvantage. Doctors have ordered skilled nursing for his needs but this company actually tells people that Medicare won't pay. This is convenient for them because they have thoughtfully calculated their agency's charge for this to be done for cash. This is not accurate or credible because providers need to actually perform the physician-ordered care and then claim to Medicare in order to be paid. This company discharged in the past based upon the same lie they told recently. Even though there were other nursing services ordered, I've learned that if an agency starts the relationship by lying, it can't get better. Physicians certify the patient's qualifications to receive home health, and they order the duties they want administered to the patient. When they order services they expect to have the orders carried out, not to have the staff complain about the doctor's orders or "say" without competent medical knowledge that these things are not covered. Stay away if you need truly skilled services and honest and knowledgeable personnel to facilitate. Even the finest nurses cannot provide appropriate care if not allowed by ignorant staff. read more

The nurses may be qualified but are totally apathetic when it comes to letting you know when they will arrive. They assume you'll be waiting all day for them to arrive. They don't seem to understand that a person needing home health also needs to schedule doctor appointments. Without the doctors orders they can't provide the needed services. All my complaints have fallen on deaf ears. If they don't get it together we'll be switching to another agency. read more

And,it has happened again with even more problems then ever,in attempting to deal MD Home Assist for my housekeeping/cleaning services,when the same cleaning woman they had assigned me,once again tells me she was going out of town again and that MD Home Assist would have to find me a substitute cleaning person. This makes the Second Time that this has happened in one month by her. She also told me that MD Home Assist never even found a substitute for another of her clients as well. And that again is even more proof of the poor service and poor management by MD Home Assist,yet they seem to always send their field supervisor out to renew my contract with them and no matter if they send me a cleaning person or not,and so once again I have had to contact my Area Council on Aging Case Worker about this constant problem and again ask him to find me a more dependable cleaning company then MD Home Assist as my own health has gotten worse and I sure donot need these endless problems with this MD Home Assist Outfit! Last year my husband needed home health care and needed a nurse's attention with instruction after surgery. Our nurse, Kerry, was very helpful and knowledgeable. I even called her on her cell phone during an emergency and she walked me through it step by step. We were very pleased with the attention given to us in the hospital and then again when we returned home by MD Home Health. I would highly recommend them. read more

I have a current nurse named Pam Daniels that is employed with MD Home Assist. She is short with my uncle when she's here to care for him. I personally don't like her attitude, But that's not why I'm writing this review. The reason I'm writing this review is because she lied to my grandmothers face when asked a direct question. Personally I don't approve of liars, let alone liars that are taking care of my family. Let me explain further. I have a computer that is plugged in to a wall outlet that's controlled by a light switch. I was called away from my computer to assist my uncle with something. The nurse at that time came to give my uncle his weekly shower, and started down the hall (Keep in mind this wasn't her first time here. Its my understanding shes been doing this for a while). She walked into my room and hit that light switch that my PC is connected to and I lost about 4 hours of homework. When asked about it she denied even entering the room when she was confronted about it. She was asked about the light switch and said she has no idea what we were talking about. Later on it was brought up casually in conversation and she said she went into the wrong room, after she denied entering the room earlier. All I can think is if she's going to lie about something so small as hitting a light switch, what else has/will she lie about. This is not a person I can trust with my family. read more
