What great service I received from the receptionists to Michael , who was fabulous and the doctor! Yes, my elbow was infected.I received antibiotics to take home, they took x rays to make sure there was not any kind of a fracture , and I was all cleaned up and bandaged and told to come back in two days for the doctor to check on the cut and bruise and infection. I highly recommend MD now they were all very nice and informative.When I got there, the receptionist said there'll be an hour wait and she was a hundred percent correct! read more

I was there on Saturday, my first time at this location, with complaints of chest soreness and a tickle cough for 10 days I thought I may have needed a prescription for congestion. The Dr. listened to my chest and then decided I needed an EKG. After the EKG while I was dressing, he called out to me and said come out, you are having an active heart attack and need to go to the hospital. I told him I didn't think I was having a HA and he still insisted I He said I was okay to drive and I left with a diagnosis on Non ST elevation myocardial infarction, a life threatening heart attack and tole me he was sending my records to the ER. When I got there, the ER Dr. asked why I was there, I briefly told him and he saw I was holding my EKG, he looked at it and said this doesn't show a heart attack and immediately did another EKG which also did not show a heart attack. They then did blood work and a chest xray which also did not show any abnormalities with my heart. I was there approximately 4 hours, they were very thorough, and I was discharged. I left a message on Monday with MD Now in Lighthouse Point asking for a call from the office manager, to explain how the Dr. could have been so off in his diagnosis. I hope this does not happen to another senior citizen who may have believed the misdiagnosis and somehow panicked and put themselves into an emergency situation from the fear and anxiety. Of course, no one called me back. Although I have gone to other MD Nows several times before when my primary is not available, I will never go back. I don't know how this place is allowed to stay open. I feel I have an obligation to report this to the FL Dept. of Health so that it does not happen to another person. read more

I went to the Windermere location and if I could give them less than zero stars I would. This is the worst place I've ever gone to avoid at all costs!! Their phones don't work they charge you extra without notifying you and their manager is terrible, unhelpful, unkind, and is clueless about healthcare billing. I had an ear infection that i went to them for. The medication they gave did nothing so i tried calling them. Their phone didnt work at all and I tried for days. I could have gotten stronger prescriptions over the phone. I finally gave up and went there and had to pay over $200 again just for a new medication. When I talked to the manager she just said unfortunately our phones were not working and basically shrugged it off saying there was nothing they can do. She also told me I should have called another location so they could message their office. Am I supposed to be a mind reader? How was I supposed to know that. Their phone was done for days (not just 1 day - DAYS!) They also charge more if you go through insurance instead of private pay but then when you tell them you'd rather go through private pay they say they refuse and won't even offer an Advanced beneficiary notice (which is document you sign saying you don't want to bill insurance and you won't request reimbursement later) which is common in health care. I work in health care and they seemed to have no understanding of this. read more

Best urgent care I have been to. Quick and thorough. Dr was awesome! All of the employees were very attentive.

I was diagnosed there with acute bronchitis and sinusitis. I told the doctor I had been up all night with spasms of coughing that grew worse if I tried to lie down. He gave me prescriptions for antibiotics and told me to continue with the OTC cough medicine I had been using. I should have argued, but I didn't. That night I had the same problem, and I again spent the night in a chair coughing. I talked to a friend who had had a similar diagnosis a couple years before at another urgent care, and they had prescribed a prescription cold medication that was very effective. I called and was referred to another doctor (???) because mine was not in. She looked at the chart and didn't see a problem. The doctor had prescribed antibiotics, and those antibiotics would eventually stop the coughing. She simply was not listening to my problem. She kept repeating the same thing over and over and over. I called prior to arriving to ask about the cost for a walk in visit. The front desk lady was unable to provide any information and stated that I would need to go to the office and check in first. I drove to the office and completed the check in. I waited while the lady checked in patients after me. I went back to the desk after check in to ask about the copay or visit cost and was told that I would no longer be able to be seen, even though I had already checked in and patients that had checked in after me were not told they wouldn't be seen. Mind you, this was at 1PM. Not even close to closing time. The entire time I was in the waiting area everyone could hear the staff in the back arguing about how many patients there were. Horrible experience overall and a complete waste of time to not be serviced after being told by the front desk person to come in. read more

I visited on March 14, Tuesday with symptoms of a basic cold or a bug. I arrived at around 6P and was told there was at least a 3 hour wait. This felt excessively long and I considered leaving, but health is very important. So I relucantly waited about 2.5 hours to see a doctor. The doctor was fine, but he only saw me for a grant total of 5 minutes and wrote me a prescription. It turns out said prescription was for (3) over the counter drugs, so what was the point? The copayment via FL Blue was $65 and the over the counter drugs cost about $35, so I paid $100 to sit there for 2.5 hours, see a doctor for 5 minutes, and get a few prescriptions that I did not need. Was it worth it, especially given that I am a PhD student on a low stipend earning below the poverty line wages, not really, but at the end of the day what I care most about is feeling 100%. I am giving this the push to 3 out of 5 b/c the nurse that saw me before the doctor was nice and the doctor himself was alright and seemed to care despite the late hour. The bottom line is that medical care in the USA is subpar and has been for many years. Thank God I have never been really ill, but if that day ever comes hopefully I can find a doctor in my extended family or a friend that is a medical professional to assist me. read more

Absolute worst facility. The doctors don't even know the correct prescription dosage that should be given out. I was prescribed three days of an antibiotic for some thing that even if you go to the manufacturers website, it says minimum dosage is seven days up to 14 days and the doctor wanted to argue with me that three days was enough. Then told me to go to a specialist because three days did absolutely nothing to help my infection. I wind up going to another doctor and having to spend more money only to have to have the other doctor prescribe me the correct dosage read more

They did one thing right in giving me anti-virals but prescribed a tiny dose of pain killer, which didn't help at all. On returning 2 days later, the next girl apologised and gave me a massive dose of ibuprofen which again didn't touch the pain as it's a nerve pain.. A couple of days later, still in acute pain, I rang up to speak to a doctor who was arrogant and rude. Told me he couldn't (or wouldn't) help me, to go to the hospital. I did, as the pain was unbearable. They gave me the correct doses. I suffered four days of unnecessary pain because of the incompetency of this place. A very bad experience. I wrote to the Chief Executive but didn't even receive an acknowledgement. I had hoped that he would step in and offer proper care and medication. No way. The day before the test was to be performed- Akumin called and said the doctor didn't approve of this test. What? The doctor wrote the prescription- how does she not approve of the order? I called 3 times. The first time-Emily never connected me. I was on hold with dead air. The second time- Adrian was going to call them and then transfer instead he hung up on me. The third time- David transferred me but office is so busy- they have an automated answering service that hangs up on you. What the F happened to customer service??? I can also agree , ℹ attempted to go the 4 days in a row because I needed immediate medical attention, but because I get off of work at 7:00 pm by the time I reach over there is about 7:20 and every time they turned me a away until the 4 day I ask my boss to allow me to leave earlier so I could make it before 7:00pm , to my surprise I got there and still ended up waiting in an empty waiting room for 1 hour and until the call for me to see the doctor around 7:34pm . What was more disappointing is the fact that the lady at the front desk lied about them not accepting my type of insurance so I paided what I thought would be the full amount for the vist at 149$ but 3 weeks later I received a bill in the mail for 6 $ and saw that they charged my insurance a 345$ charge . Them money to me is not the biggest issue it's the customer service at the place which was the worst I have witnessed in my 26 years of living and that includes McDonald's teenagers who are working for minimum wage, the was a nonexistent of professionalism throughout my time spent waiting there listening to personal conversations that could have been taken as offensive and insensitive. Further more when the nurse saw me and brought me into a room to ask me questions there was not a sense of care or concern the energy felt like she waiting to be sent home, when the doctor finally saw me after waiting 2 hours later and I told her my issue and my concern that my body emergency , she did emphasize with my issue , spoke every confidentiality, and knowledgeable about helping me solve the aesthetically displeasing issue , but she didn't take into consideration of the main issue that I relayed to the nurse the thing that I was most concerned to resolve, it's like the nurse didn't even talk or communicate with her about all the thing she asked me. The only thing the did was give me a prescription for me to pay Walgreens another 76 $ than today when I called in to follow up after on my issue and it not being resolved so that can receive a referral for a specialist they wanted me to come in again to see a whole new doctor because apparently the doctor that saw me resigned and now a whole new doctor would have see me for another fee, how could a place be so focus on exploiting people out of their money. Instead of healing ‍ and saving people. This place shouldn't be shut down because all those workers who family members depend on them need the income but as a business owner I would evaluate the management and operations of how they are run. I was so disappointed by this facility. I walked in and I was the only patient in the place. I thought great, I'll be done quickly. Not!! About 10 minutes after I walked in a kid came in for a sports physical, my registration and co pay was already done. The kid turns in his paperwork, by now I have been there at least 20 minutes. The nurse calls him in first. So I sit for another 20-25 minutes. Now the kid leaves. I wait 5 more minutes, by now I have been there over 45 minutes, I ask the recep how much longer. She says "you're next", my response was well I hope so no one else is here. I told her I was there before the kid, she says oh he was just a sports physical . Finally they call me in, I sit in another room for 10 more minutes, I'm still the only Pt in the place. At last the Dr shows up. My total time in the back Area was less time than the kid for the sports physical. So for that place with no pts when I got there I waited over an hour to be seen. I won't be going back there. For some reason I had this picture in my head of MD Now being this great urgent care so when I had a work related injury this is the place I chose to seek care. Probably should of asked around and read reviews first. I show up bright and early to be seen when I am turned away due to them not having the necessary paper work. Totally ok. Understandable. What isn't understand is the dry attitude I get from the front desk. You are the face of the clinic. If you can't be nice please pretend your hardest to be even remotely be friendly or caring. You are dealing with people who are sick, injured, etc. We really do not need your attitude. I returned a few hours later once I knew they had the paper work. I ask if they can please give my Human Resources director a call as she has tried calling the clinic times already. Receptionist asks me for the phone number and I say ok I have a voicemail hold on. She quickly replies with "just give me the number" with a demanding attitude. I respond to with well I need to listen to the VM as she recites the number in there. Rude front desk girl finally gets her on the phone and as soon as she hangs up she begins to bad mouth her to her coworker. Mind you I am sitting less than 2 feet away and can hear everything she is saying. So unprofessional. Will never return and recommend others seek care somewhere else. The saving grace of this visit and from what I see of this clinic is the working physician Dr. Mushtaq. He was super nice, sweet, animated, had great bed side manner, and with a fun personality! He answered all my questions and eased all my concerns. The young lady who drew my blood was also kind and sweet. One thing I noticed is that the staff did not wear name tags so I can't name anyone. Do not go to this location. If you cannot take patients in at 7:25pm, SAY YOURE CLOSED AT 7:30. I came in at 7:25pm on July 18th, 2022. I told the two females in the front that I have a double ear infection and all I needed are antibiotics. The ladies said they cannot see me because it's 7:30. 1) I came in at 7:25 and right as I came to the counter, they allowed a pretty boy to be seen and not me. Then they pretended to go to the back and speak to the doctor. The front office lady said the doctor is having two procedures even though there are TWO cars in the parking lot. Myself and the boy they allowed to be seen before me. I've never had such an awful experience at MD Now. Put somewhere that patients cannot be seen after 7:25pm. I wish there was a zero rating. I came to this clinic in desperation the morning after my spouse had a big surgery, about three weeks ago now. He was going to be discharged and would need total care, and I had spent the night with a bad fever and sore throat. I took 800 mg motrin to stop the fever so I could drive myself to the clinic. The PA was Sophia Theodorou according to the prescription. The experience with her felt like something behind the iron curtain must've felt in 1980. She treated me like I was wasting her time being there, implied I was lying about having a fever (the heavy dose of motrin was masking it), hostile, condescending and dismissive. I left in tears. I've never had a worse experience at a clinic in my life. As a follow on to my review...was diagnosed with strep yesterday. It took almost a month, after a visit to this urgent care, and ER visit, and two GPs for them to finally do a throat swab and make this diagnosis. I do not blame any medical providers for getting the wrong diagnosis (symptoms were atypical), only Sophia Theodorou specifically for her unbelievable rudeness. read more

Stay away. Went in for UTI..they did a urine dip stick test which showed and infection. I was given an antibiotic and was told they would send the urine to the lab to learn the cause of the infection. A week later I learned they never sent the urine to the lab and had thrown it away.
