We had an excellent experience here. After several weeks of trying to get vaccines here in south Florida, I saw a comment suggesting to visit a Minute Clinic (not the pharmacy). Online, I looked up the locations, and selected this one in Pompano. We were able to easily sign up for an appointment on their in house computer. And we lucked out that a spot was open in about an hour. We decided to wait. There were comfortable chairs in a separated area. Jean G, the NP, was great. In the private room, we went over my medical background and he filled out the balance of the forms and added in one more of my medical ID's. Then in no time, he gave me the immunization -- with no pain whatsoever. I got a bandaid, but it really wasn't needed. I'd highly recommend him and this minute clinic location. read more

I did a virtual appt bc I recently had surgery and could not drive. To start my virtual appt started over 10 mins late and the connection on their side was horrible. It was so bad she asked to turn the cameras off to even hear eachother. Therefore even seeing my symptoms wasnt feasable. The NP ended up sending in an rx for an eye ointment. My pharmacist informs me the NP license is coming up invalid. I then spend over 15 mins on the phone with minute clinic saying they will put an urgent request for an NP to call me and call in the rx. It took hours to hear back from them. My pharmacist then calls me to tell me the rx they prescribed is no longer made and hasnt been used for my treatment as their is 1 specific one all drs use. I then had to reach back out to minute clinic,another 15 mins on the phone and again a day later I am have no meds and am waiting for them to send the correct rx. read more

Our appointment was 540 pm. One hour and ten minutes later 650 still waiting we are patient but a little respect for our time. CVS should be ashamed to have one person in the clinic. read more

I made an appointment for a COVID booster at 3:30 PM. I was still not seen by 4:05 PM. I told the nurse that I had to leave as I had another appointment. He got excited and told me that maybe the pharmacist "might" be able to give me the booster. Then the young lady was next said I could go ahead of her. The nurse then started to give me a flu shot - luckily, I stopped him. I finally got my COVID booster (I hope). The nurse was not polite and did not express any condolences for keeping me waiting so long and almost giving me the wrong shot. This place is a poor excuse for any type of medical facility. Went in pretty confident in what my sickness was. Doctor shrugged off all the symptoms I had, with no answer to why I had them. Just decided on strep with no test. Went to another another doctor and they immediately recognized my symptoms and confirmed my suspicion. The doctor should start working as a cashier, probably the only thing I would feel comfortable with him doing. read more

I used to be very opposed to even trying a Minute Clinic. I just assumed it would be equivalent to an urgent care facility with a super long wait, and staff that don't really care...and often times at urgent care you end up sitting for hours in a waiting room with people way more sick than you are wondering if you will leave healthier or having caught something from someone else. I have been to this Minute Clinic location as well as one in Boca and I can now say that I was wrong in my opinions. Though I had decent experiences at both locations, I found this one to be superior. First let's get the purpose of the minute clinic straight. These facilities are really for minor injuries, colds, infections, in general it is for illnesses and injuries of which you already have a pretty good idea of what's wrong with you and you just need a prescription or other basic treatment. I stopped in here on my lunch break knowing exactly what I needed and found everything to go very smoothly. I arrived around 11:30 (I had noted online the lunch hour so I wouldn't arrive to an unstaffed clinic) and signed in at the electronic kiosk. You are given an estimated wait time. I was the next in line and my wait time was estimated to be 20 minutes. I was pleased to find that it didn't even take that long and I was seen in probably 10 minutes. They offer a few chairs in a waiting area that is somewhat separate from the CVS store in which the clinic is located so you can browse the store or take a seat in the wait time. When it was my turn the nurse practitioner, Sylvia Crawford, introduced herself. She was very friendly and talked me through my symptoms and was able to give me a diagnosis and a prescription within about a fifteen minute visit. It is great that they are able to send any prescriptions electronically to a pharmacy of your choice (they don't even push CVS despite being located in one). They are even able to send a record of your visit electronically to your primary care doctor so you can keep them in the loop as well. Prices aren't bad and are listed on the website, though they take my insurance for the amount of my copay. No money is exchanged on the day of the visit as your insurance is billed and any copay is billed separately after, which can easily be paid to Minute Clinic online. I was quite happy with my experience here. The nurse practitioner was thorough and knowledgeable and I am already feeling better. I was impressed that I was able to deal with the whole thing on my one hour lunch break. Definitely keep Minute Clinic in mind for minor medical issues, as they are faster than urgent care facilities (sometimes cheaper too), and more convenient than being on hold with your primary care doctor trying to be fit in at the last minute. read more

These people are excellent.. hey it is urgent care and we don't know what different people are gong through behind the walls so it's normal not to be seen in a minute! They were polite, professional, helpful, and really efficient. As well, those sitting at the front desk were truly sincere and felt bad for my illness! The nurse practitioner was professional and very knowledgeable.. I felt as if she truly cared about me. Thanks Lorraine... By the way, I was here a couple years ago for a horrible finger cut and they were just as awesome! I suggest this place ! read more

I definitely liked the fact that I was seen quickly, especially since I couldn't see my primary care physician right away, and I thought I might have strep. That being said, the provider at Minute Clinic had the basic bedside manner and personality of a pebble. She was thorough, for sure, and noted the fact that I have some ear problems, too. However, she was crappy at taking a throat swab, and then she projected this attitude that I was somehow at fault for gagging when she tried to swab my throat. She stood back and looked at me disapprovingly. I eventually gave up and left. read more

I didn't have too many choices due to my lack of health insurance but I must say, this was a decent experience. I was the next in line, was seen by a very nice ARNP and while I still thought the visit was a but expensive ($90), that wasn't the fault of the ARNP and she made it worth it. read more

If you want to go in and pay money for them to tell you you're not sick when you know you're sick and for them to practice malpractice and get away with and take your hard earned money be my Guest but I would advise anyone never to go to this place as they will just laugh you off and tell you you're not sick and spend no time actually figuring out what's wrong with you and you will leave with a piece of paper instead of medicine read more

Do not put your health in the hands of this clinic or the nurse practitioners they employ. They are very arrogant, not helpful and useless. They took 100.00 from me and I was misdiagnosed ,received poor care and no help. Went next door to carespot where a doctor gave me a prescription for my resp.infection in two minutes time and half the price. Trying to get my money back. read more

Don't bother. I went in with a really bad cough that had progressively been getting worse for a week. I was given a cough suppressant and told I didn't need antibiotics because I didn't have a fever and my lungs sounded clear. The cough suppressant was about as effective as a tic tac and my cough did not improve. I went to another doctor a day later who found I had a severe lung infection, despite absence of fever and my lungs sounding clear. She prescribed antibiotics. Within 24 hours I was better. I needed an antibiotic when I went to this clinic. Very disappointed. read more
