The entire team here at MD Now Urgent Care was fantastic from front desk staff to the nurse to the doctor. Everyone was so kind and patient with me. They really thoroughly explained everything and took great care of me when I couldn't get in to see my doctor. The facility was very clean. I do think they probably go a bit overboard with the cleaning sprays because it was making me want to cough with how much was in the air. But, hey!! At least you know they clean right?! I was in and out under about 45mins. I was surprisingly the only patient in for the morning. Typically urgent cares have a line outside the door at opening. So it was nice to be seen lickity split. Check-in was a breeze and if I had any questions the woman at the front desk was happy to answer. Also, they have complimentary waters for all the patients in the waiting area. The only thing I didn't like is there was a sign that said no photos/videos. On the one hand it is a medical facility and probably they want to protect everyone's privacy. On the other hand I get weary about businesses not wanting their place photographed. What do you have to hide? I do think the lobby should be fair enough for photos. Their business! Their rules! Lol. I'll come back here if ever I'm in a jam again, but not big enough for emergency room. They have my business. read more

Visited this offing Saturday as my doctors office was closed , was prescribed a antibiotic for 10 days, today is the 4th day and it wasn't working went back to see if they would change the prescription and wa told I had to pay $100 plus charging my insurance again to get this done . The office manager said , there office is an urgent care not a regular doctors office, so I just guess that means I have to take what I get even if its not working. read more

I recently visited the Tamarac facility and unfortunately had a very negative experience. I was shocked to hear, Erica, use derogatory language towards me, calling me a "b***h" and many more things. This level of disrespect is completely unacceptable, especially in a healthcare setting where patients should feel safe and respected. I believe it's essential for staff to maintain professionalism at all times. I hope this feedback helps improve interactions at the facility so that no other patient has to endure such treatment. The front office had a nasty, old, musty smell; however, I stayed because the front office person assured three times in the phone, that they will stitch an open wound that reopened after the surgeon took the stitches out too soon). After they called me in, thankfully the smell was not present inside the room were I was placed. The assistant nurse was dropping the monitors and using them regardless. After I paid $201third level visit and I have given them my insurance information, they said that MD Now only has PA's, not doctors in any of their offices. The PA made me wait a while when there were no one else at the whole office. and finally approached me to tell me that "for health reasons???!!!" they didn't tell me they DON'T do stitches because is "not protocol!!!"". Joked that she has skin cancer and that they do small round holes in her back but she doesn't care because she is alive!!. In other words, they lie to you to get your's and your insurance's money, but they will not provide the care you need. She gave me an antibiotic for a contagious bacteria instead!! Stay away! I walked into the clinic because I cut my finger pretty badly. I am self-pay I don't have insurance. Was told to pay upfront $149 fee in order to see the doctor. Thankfully, no stitches required, just cleaned and glued my wound. Before exiting, I asked if there was anything else I had to pay and they said "no, you're fine". They have upfront pricing on the menu screen, but will send you an undisclosed, and not agreed upon LARGE BILL in the mail two weeks later. This is a bait-and-switch tactic this company uses to trick you into getting their services. I was completely livid because I thought my bill was already paid for as you can see in the billing statement. I already paid the $149. Additionally, they charge $340 new patient fee in which I am not a new patient. I have been to an MD now before. Beware of this undisclosed and new patient fee, will be calling into dispute the charges. The $287 wound fee was also undisclosed, not agreed upon fee. I came in with a dead worm that came out of my eye from possible toxoplasmosis, an autoimmune condition sle lupus and asthma and got refused to do a card payment over the phone or for them to bill me the copayment. It had to be a physical card but my dad lives too far away to give that to me. Natalie the receptionist refused to speak on the phone with my dad for the financial billing of the copayment and said that it's not in her job description. They weren't even that busy so I do not understand what took so long!! That's not the worst part though, once I was finally seen the Dr barely looked over me. For COVID tests - 1) PCR only, no rapid tests available. 2) They move SLOWLY. 3) They are not free. Either insurance or cash - more than $100 if paying cash. 4) Part of the reason they move slowly is because they require a doctor to see you after the test, so even if you say you have no symptoms, after you test you have to wait for the doctor to listen to your lungs. I waited 45 minutes AFTER my test for that 10 second doctor's visit. read more

If I could give a negative star I would. I received the run around for a prescription that was called in to my pharmacy that ended up being a OTC medicine. I left the facility at 3:15 and was told that I could pick up my prescription in 20 mins after arriving at the pharmacy I was told that the prescription was never called in. I reached out to the office they said they were resending my prescription which for some reason my pharmacy never got. After calling over and over the customer service rep suggested that I drive back to the office to get assistance- what a joke that was. The lady at the front desk hung up on the call center after they called to help me. Let's just say the situation wasn't good. Stay away from this place. I brought my son here today for what looked like a spider bite because he was complaining that he was in pain. I am usually hesitant to come to these places for some reason but I needed to be quick so I could get back to work. Long story short, DR. Helen Nau was amazinggggggggg, very knowledgeable, very friendly, my kids loved her, hell even I did. I'm very cautious when it comes to my kids and even when it comes to doctors and their recommendations but when I left here I felt very comfortable and at ease. If you come to this place because they have an agreement with your insurance provider, make sure that you know exactly what your copay should be before you set foot in the door. Otherwise, as someone else also mentioned, you run the risk of being overcharged. I brought my wife here because she wasn't feeling well and couldn't wait 3 weeks to be seen by her primary. I made the mistake of not knowing what her copay was supposed to be and just mindlessly handed over my credit card when the time came to pay. It was only after we received an explanation of benefits showing that the insurance had paid them on the claim that we realized they had overcharged us. We tried to contact them twice and were ignored. I was able to successfully dispute the overcharged amount with my credit company, but I shouldn't have had to jump through those hoops over a simple routine exam covered by insurance. I also can't get past the fact that when I was sitting in the lobby after my wife had gone in to be seen, I noticed a giant centipede scurrying around the floor under the seats. Seriously? The people are nice but Covid testing results take a long time. I went on Monday and still haven't sent my specimen to the lab, now it's Thursday. My wife went to a city walk up one on Tuesday, got her results Wednesday night. When I called their lab bio references, they told me it's because our labs are so large and we have so many clients, that's why it takes so long. She said companies like LabCorp and quest diagnostics are smaller and move faster. Make sure to go to one of the smaller labs. read more

I have been here numerous times and I really just come here as a primary at this point. They are the only ones open when I can get to a doctor and the take my insurance. My PA that I have seen the last two times is awesome. She takes her time and is very thorough. They get me in and out pretty quickly but without rushing. I went here last night and because I've been coughing for 4 days straight and I've had to miss work since I work on the phone. I get bronchitis almost every time I get sick, probably because I am a heavy cigarette smoker. I called in and smoke to the PA and she said the medicine takes 5 days. I asked her if there's anything else she can give me like cough medicine which I need since I am coughing blood and she tells me she gave me something for my repository infection. I don't think she understands. I do not recommend this place at all. I wasted my money and now I've missed work and have to go see a doctor to spend more money. I used to like this place more when it was GetMed. I went for ear pain and a bad cut on my finger and checked in online for a 3:45 PM appointment and had to wait way too long to be seen when you supposedly close at 4pm-I wasn't seen until 415-420. The lady up front was very rude and having a personal call about a date in front of every one in the waiting room. I also politely asked for a mask as I felt I could not breathe in mine due to how hot it was in the waiting room and was told you don't have any to give out. What kind of urgent care doesn't have masks to give their own employees or patients? They said the workers had to bring their own too. Absolutely horrendous, YOU'RE A MEDICAL FACILITY. The doctor was fine but the staff up front ruins it. You also can't have only one provider seeing people on a weekend, what a joke. I, my friends, or family won't be returning until these issues are corrected even if it means having to drive further to go to another business who has their act together. read more

What an incredible place!! My 2 year old had a pretty bad ear infection and I waited all day for an appointment with his regular pediatrician. Finally at 7:00 PM his "regular" upscale Weston pediatrician called and said there is nothing they can do tonight, they will TRY to squeeze me in tomorrow. (Try?) Off to GetMed Urgent Care in Tamarac I went, for the first time, and within 15 minutes I was in/out and on my way to the pharmacy for the needed Rx. The staff and the physician were incredible. They handled my cranky 2 year old beautifully, were thorough, efficient, and it was all covered by health insurance. If I could give them a 10-star rating I would. Why in the world does anyone go to the ER anymore, when places like this exist? While still signing in at the front desk, the doctor was ready to see my baby, and we were out in a flash. From beginning to end it was outstanding. I'll be back.... and with a toddler, I'll be back OFTEN. I am very grateful to the wonderful folks at GetMed Urgent Care in Tamarac. read more
