He's been in the business for a while so he really knows how to position you so the light hits you just right and it looks natural. My husband and I felt really awkward going into our engagement pictures because we had never taken pictures like that before and we were a bit camera shy. Steve made us laugh and moved us around a bit and talked to us to tell us where to look and what to do so that the pictures came out fantastic! It was a really good idea to book him for all three pictures that really gave us a chance to get to know Steve and understand his photography style. It also gave Steve a chance to see how we interacted together and how comfortable/uncomfortable we were with taking the pictures so by the time we were taking wedding photos we didn't need as much direction and Steve was able to get more shots since we already had an idea of what we should be doing. Steve did a wonderful job of capturing all of the small details at our wedding along with the regular wedding pictures (i.e. cake cutting, bouquet toss, and family photos). It was so nice to have those detail shots because we didn't get a chance to mingle at the cocktail hour and truthfully, the wedding just flew by and I didn't remember so many things from the evening. Luckily, Steve managed to capture all of the little special moments for us so we could remember and relive them. Everyone I've showed my pictures too have just been blown away with how fantastic they are. Steve is very reasonably priced too for the high quality services that he provides! I would book Steve again in a heartbeat and if I ever need to take pictures again for anything,he's the guy I'm going back to. He's a very nice guy, professional, easy to work with, and quick to respond to emails, I'm completely thrilled with all of my pictures! We did have one issue where the picture of my wedding dress didn't come out quite right but Steve said it was no problem and we scheduled another day to retake some pictures of my wedding dress. That really meant a lot to me because he didn't have to take the picture again but he did and he didn't charge any extra for it. They are married, which I think adds a very nice touch, something I may not have thought of before--they communicate well with one another, they know each other well, and as they stated, they know what they wanted in their own wedding, and want to emulate that for others. Photographs are the best way to remember your big day, and what Sandra and Lisa capture aren't just photos, they're art. The whole process from beginning to end was so easy. After reviewing different photographers online, my now husband and I decided to meet with Lisa & Sandra of C. Baron Photography. We met in a local Starbucks. They brought samples of prints and wedding albums. We were blown away. Right then and there, a year out from our wedding, we signed the contract to work with them. It was one of the easiest and best decisions we made in regards to our wedding! Lisa and Sandra's communication is outstanding. They respond to emails usually in less than 12 hours. They're easy to reach by phone if you need to. They are super flexible, willing to work with you, and truly want you to be happy. Engagement Pictures: For one reason after another, we waited until about five weeks before our actual wedding to have our engagement pictures taken. We decided to have them in Galveston since it's where we got engaged & where our wedding would be. Lisa & Sandra had no problem with this. When the day came, unfortunately, it was about 40, cloudy, and windy. However, Lisa and Sandra still made it an enjoyable experience. We felt at ease in what could potentially be an awkward situation. (Having someone take pictures and telling you to pose in intimate ways can be awkward if you've never done it before!) The images that they captured are amazing! You would never know that I couldn't feel my feet by the end (I wore dresses in both pictures). The Wedding Day: We had figured out a time line with C. Baron before the wedding. They showed up exactly when they were supposed to, exactly where they were supposed to, and they even brought me the sweetest goody bag! Using them for our wedding day took away a large amount of my stress because I did not have to worry about getting my pictures back and hating them. And I was right! Other than the standard family posing pictures, I never even knew they were taking pictures. The images that they captured have made me laugh, they've made me smile, and they've even made me cry (in a good way!). I continually look at them over and over. I could not ask for better results. It took less than a month to get the digital version of the pictures, and our USB is on its way right now. If you're looking for photographers, you cannot go wrong with C. Baron Photography. This is an incredibly long review because there were so many instances where Chris demonstrated his passion for his work and for making his clients happy: Planning: - During our initial meeting, he arranged for us to meet at our reception venue so he could get a 'feel' of the environment and hear all about our day - The ceremony/mass and reception were at different locations, and Chris took time on a Friday to meet me at the chapel where the ceremony would take place so he could scope out different spots for pictures.(Note: This was done early on - about 6 months before the wedding was even set to take place) - Chris was incredibly receptive to what we wanted captured and we ended up with shots of all the special moments throughout the day Engagement Photos: - We wanted to do a downtown shoot, as well as take some photos at a restaurant that had special meaning to us as a couple. Chris not only has good knowledge of downtown Houston, but he also contacted the restaurant and got special permission for us to take photos there during the engagement session. - On the day of the session, Chris was really prepared and had the itinerary down, took care of parking and all the logistics, which allowed us to just have fun. Bridal Photos: - For my bridal session, I wanted to take advantage of bluebonnet season here in Texas. This year was not a great year for bluebonnet bloomings/sightings, but as soon as I relayed this to Chris, he was committed to making it happen it for me. While I spent most of the early part of the day getting my hair and makeup done for the portraits, Chris drove out to the hill country way ahead of me and my mom so that he could scope out the best spots for the flowers. Wedding Day: - On the night before the wedding, Chris came to our rehearsal at the chapel to familiarize himself again with the setup and also understand any rules about where he could/could not stand to take pictures during the mass. He also got to meet some of our guests at the rehearsal dinner, which was great as it made everyone more comfortable the next day. - On the day of the wedding, Chris was there pretty much from the moment I started getting ready until the very last song at the reception. He captured everything from the details, to the getting ready, to the ride over to the chapel from the hotel, to formal portraits, to fun pictures - he even stole us away for a few minutes during the reception and captured some really beautiful pictures outside once darkness had fallen. It has been 10 months since our wedding and we still have not received our photo albums or our video - which we paid thousands of dollars for. For the longest time, every time we'd ask Chris about it, he would go months without giving us a response. It has taken so much effort to even get some sort of a response from Chris, and when he does respond, he lies. He lies by assuring us that he will get us what we're owed, even making deadlines, and *shocker* he's a liar. I personally know that he owes thousands of dollars to his videographer for unpaid jobs, and I know of countless other bridges and grooms in our same duration. He's continuing to take money from unsuspecting brides and grooms, only to screw them later on.
