    Master bath area.

I strongly recommend MDESIGN if you are looking for a top-quality, beautifully designed remodel. We selected MDESIGN because of Mila's beautiful design concept, Ben's assurance that he would make sure that the work was "perfect" (a big claim), and their competitive pricing. We were not disappointed! The MDESIGN team remodelled our upstairs master suite, including: 1) reimagining and recreating the master bathroom - transforming a dark, cramped area with a coffin-sized shower to an open, modern, luxurious space with a double shower, walk-in closer and a separate commode, 2) updating the bedroom/living area and installing new lighting, ceiling fans, and 3) replacing the old single-pane view windows and sliding glass doors. The results exceeded our expectations. Mila and the crew were able to take advantage of the spaces, combine many of the beautiful mid-century modern features while creating a modern, high-end, highly functional design. The quality of the work, from the new window/door installation (which is often problematic), to the exceptional finish work - tile and custom vanity counters, to the cedar panel and shingle trimming and reinstallation, showed care, craftsmanship, and an understanding of the aesthetic and functional needs. The reason I can confidently recommend their services is that Ben and the team leaved up to Ben's commitment of getting it perfect. Like any large projects, there are occasional new discoveries and small hiccouphs. But Ben was very responsive, had the team redo details that were not up to his high standards, and reinstall lighting when the original design didn't feel right. I was pleased that Ben did not nickle and dime, or in fact, charge for rework and small changes, other than a scope increase that we had anticipated in the proposal, so the project was completed to full scope, with superior quality according to the original budget. The commitment to quality and satisfaction was outstanding from their team. The one area that could have been improved was our coordination with MDESIGN on expectations and timeline for things like clearing out rooms, driveway for dumpsters, etc. The project ultimately ran longer than planned. We had a meeting later in the project to come up with a more detailed project plan, including expectations for the homeowners that really helped address this issue. I have attached a couple of pictures, but don't feel that they do this work justice. We have had no problems/issues after 2 months, and we have gotten rave feedback frmom visitors and guests who have stayed in the new addition. Thank you to Ben, Mila, and the MDESIGN team!

We loved working with Ben and Mila for our master bathroom remodeling project. Mila is a great designer with an eye for sophistication and contemporary design. Ben and his construction crew are experienced, well-priced, and provide high-quality workmanship. We're thrilled with our new bathroom and highly recommend them for your design and construction projects.

From the very first conversation, it was clear I was speaking with a true professional. Triangle Construction (Daniel Curtis) was incredibly responsive, transparent, and thorough, all qualities that are surprisingly rare in this industry. He took the time to walk me through the process, answered all my (many!) questions with patience and clarity, and provided insights that made it clear he has deep expertise and a passion for doing things the right way. His professionalism, integrity, and clear communication gave me so much confidence. If you're lucky enough to work with him, you're in excellent hands. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for high-quality work and a contractor who genuinely cares. If my timeline had been more flexible, I would have hired him in a heartbeat. Highly recommend!

This involved removing sheetrock, cutting pipes, installing new valves, then replacing the sheetrock, applying plaster and texture, and finally painting. This was way above my pay grade, so I reached out to Steve. Within minutes, he got back to me. He asked for photos and provided an estimate with a range, depending on the complexity of what they found. Steve sent his crew over just a few hours later to begin the project. Victor and Edgar arrived, and within minutes, the Sawzall was going to town on our wall. I'll admit, I had my reservations, but it quickly became clear that these guys knew what they were doing. Each phase required a return visit to allow the individual coats of plaster to dry, etc. Our water was only turned off for about an hour or so during the entire project, and the finished product was very good. We're now considering TVC for other projects. I would not hesitate to recommend them!

Overall the experience was very good; Elijah and Bryan were super friendly and responsive. Eli was very patient and accommodating as we discussed several different potential change orders, from new windows to painting, to other misc. things that popped up. Bryan Luna was especially a pleasure to work with. His attention to detail and proactivity to solve any little thing I mentioned was definitely the highlight of working with Prime. Their contracted electrician, Hector, was great as well. I also think they did a great job building out a cabinet to fit our freezer next to the matching fridge. Their master carpenter managed to salvage our existing wood to make it match perfectly. Definitely better than what I'd expect from even a carpentry specialty contractor. I will mention that it wasn't without some snags. Prime deals in volume so they're very busy. I think because I had delays in sourcing a freezer I ended up not getting a dedicated project manager for some time. We had timeline issues made worse with holidays. This caused cascading delays which inevitably pushed back my move in date a few weeks. When I finally did get a new project manager, they ghosted me (later on I found out they had a family emergency). Eli had to step in again to help. Another thing is that their pricing is quite opaque. The estimate will break down prices by milestones, but they repeated told me that it's not a valuation of the milestone itself. This made it nigh impossible to understand if I wanted to contract out specific pieces of the project (e.g. flooring). Design was OK. I felt that the designer was very busy. Sometimes very responsive (5min replies), sometimes not responsive at all (no reply). I wish I had a better, more thorough back-and-forth session about the intricacies of the design. But we made do. Ultimately, the designer made a render and helped point us to some vendors, but from there we had to make our own selection alone (cabinets, handles, pendant lights, faucets, etc.). I did appreciate her presence when we picked out countertops, though. All in all, I think this was a 4.5 star job, but I'm rounding to 5 because of Eli and Bryan :)

There have been multiple unresolved issues with the quality of work and follow-through. One example is an LED light that continues to flicker. It has been more than six months, with many calls and text messages, but the issue still has not been fixed. Another example is damage to our garage cabinet, where a hole was created during the work. We are still waiting for this to be repaired as well. Overall, the lack of timely resolution and poor communication after the project has been extremely frustrating.

Being a Realtor in the Fremont area I was fortunate to have represented a client who had several…read moreproperties in the area he wanted to sell. All were outdated and so the plan was to upgrade each property then bring them to market one at a time. It was my job to find an honest, knowledgeable, reliable General Contractor. I had interviewed several. I chose to work with George and GT General Contractor. His knowledge of the Local Building Codes stood out to me. He also had reasonable pricing. Together we worked out a contract where I would determine the upgrades, select and purchase appliances, fixtures, flooring and all major materials on behalf of my client and George would provide the minor materials and bring our vision to life. If it didn't work I could let George and GT General Contractors go and find another Contractor. It did work though. George was patient, his knowledge kept us out of trouble with the local code enforcement, He had the vision and the skillset to turn a blank canvas into something beautiful. Now don't get me wrong. I'm not saying it was all Unicorns and rainbows, it wasn't. Every time a roadblock was in our path, George never lost focus of our final objective. So when we did pull up carpet and exposed some rotting of the subfloor or removed a section of drywall only to find some termite damage, an amendment to the original contract was created and on we went. After each house was completed I would list it on the market and every one brought a new "Highest Sale" in their neighborhood. That made me look good in my clients eyes. George and I did this 5 times over and I consider him a friend. I highly recommend George and GT Contractors if you are considering a remodel. I have since moved on from my real estate career but before I did I had sold my personal residence and who did I have help me remodel it? You guessed it. George and GT Contractors.

The tile beneath the shower door was not installed correctly, and this led to water slowly leaking into the baseboard anytime we used the shower. After a year, mold and mildew began to rapidly grow. After getting a consultation, the conclusion was that since the tile was not installed correctly, water did not drain from the surface properly, leading to the damage you see pictured here. I reached out to George, as our contract stated that he would fix any issues resulting from his work within 4 years after completion of the original project. Thankfully, he agreed to fix the issue after inspecting the problem in person. If George had simply fixed the tile right after his inspection, I would have no need to update this review. But unfortunately, what happened next is why I need to lower my rating. After George had agreed to fix his work, it took over 1 year to get him to come back to my home and fix it. I would send him multiple emails, texts, and phone calls trying to schedule time for him to come fix the shower. He would ignore the messages for weeks on end. And when he did respond, it would be to tell me that he was traveling, or was not available at my suggested times. When I finally managed to get time with him, he would make many comments about how he felt like the issue wasn't really his fault and that he just wanted to get done ASAP. He gave me the impression that he didn't want to make things right, but that he just wanted to fulfill his contractual obligation and be done. I did not feel like a priority to him, and it was likely because there was no money to be gained from fixing his mistake. George's fix unfortunately led to another issue. Our baseboard was replaced, and the tile was adjusted. However, since the tile needed to be adjusted at an incline to allow the water to drain, the positioning of the shower glass needed to be shifted up to give it space to open. The shower door is now misaligned with the other side of the glass. An issue that can't be fixed unless we buy a whole new shower glass door. While I am still very appreciative of George's original work, I will likely need to make significant updates to this bathroom in the future. And I will not be using GT General Contractor this time around.
