This is a public park so there are a lot of other people (some without kids) watching and looking onto the splash pad - my head was for sure on a swivel. Splash pad is 5 star, with ample picnic tables and a one large field with a decent 1/4 jogging path (cement). I'd say it's one of the best splash pads out there. The good: Kids are going to have fun, if your going so your kids enjoy themselves this place is great. The Bad: No shade and limited seating areas. Bathrooms are not the cleanest. Tips: be careful with the little ones when it gets busy specially on Sundays you get a lot of older kids running around with a slippery floors, I've seen lots of kids get knocked over and get hurt. Bring a folding chair. Remember the water start at 12 don't go too early and just wait around in the hot sun. Wait for the guy that sell the $2 ice cream he sets up a bit late in the day but worth it, better then the overpriced paleta carts. read more

This is a long overdue review. We've enjoyed the renovated park for the past few years. We love bringing the kids.The features are great for even new walkers, my LO start walking just one month prior and had a blast. We had to stay REAL close because he was one of the smallest children. He would get bumped by older children, including his cousins, and needed to see we were near by. Plus, id he was more than a few feet away he'd get lost in.the sea of kids (it was a crowded weekend). We go once a year as a group of 20 or so, which is really enjoyable for children and adults. No matter how crowded the park there seems to plenty of room and others gathering don't mind having neighboring park goers. My only complaint is that parking is minimal. Knowing that parking is a hassle has made us change our weekend plans a couple times. read more

Great place for the kids and families to come together. It has a cute little animal slide and sprays for the toddlers. The big kids have the ship, palm trees, sprayer guns that keep them busy too. Do not go here. We went today for the first time because it's supposedly a splash park. We get there and there was no splashing going on. Also there was not only trash all over but TOILET PAPER with brown marks on the ground. So this is bad. Really bad. So we can see a play area and decide to walk over there. I stop at a picnic table but my daughter starts running over there and ran through what looks like sewage. It smells like poo and it's dripping yucky brown stuff all over her. And of course no water to wash this off. So no, we won't be going back to this poopy trash park again. read more

Great place for kids to lose energy before or after lunch time! We drove all the way from San Francisco and my 19 months old daughter had so much fun! Love the little kids section with the dolphin slide! No big spray fountains or water coming from above like the "older kids" part :) Gets crowded on a hot summer day after 1pm but parking is so easy and it's free! Very happy that I found that place online! We will definitely come back!!! read more

Trash, trash, trash everywhere! Today we decided to go after reading the reviews. I would give it more stars if it wasn't for the trash. I am inferring that maybe over the weekend there where lots of people, that the trash was left over and water ballon trash all over. The good things about the park is the kiddos had fun! We went during the week so it wasn't very busy. No shade so bring your own. Also, sitting in the grass is not happening as the sprinklers are on a timer. Bathrooms available as well and lots of parking. I will give it another chance next week and hope that it's different and I can update my review. read more

My kids really like this spray park, which is located right next to Meadow Homes Elementary. It has just enough water structures for kids of all ages. They even have a smaller area for the littler ones. The biggest pros for me are it's free and there is always parking, either in the parking lot or on the street. What I don't like about this place is the lack of shade, no changing rooms (public restroom is small), and the parking lot is easily accessible, which means any child can step out of the spray park and into the lot. I would suggest keeping a close eye on your child. Also, during the summer it is suppose to be open from 10am-6pm, but sometimes the water is not on. I would STRONGLY suggest calling the spray park hotline to make sure the water is on. The last we were there, they shut the water off at 3pm. Bummer for my kids since we were only there for 30 minutes. read more

This place is fantastic! We have been several times and our most recent visit was the best. Parking is a breeze. They seem to have fixed some of the complaints regarding the water not being chlorinated as it was the first thing I noticed as I walked up. There is no doubt that the water is chlorine treated as the smell is strong. My boys ran around and played in the water for about an hour before they lost interest and wanted to head home. read more

This is the grossest place I have ever been. I went to the opening a few years ago, and i have been going up until 2 years ago. It is actually super fun for the kids but for mothers this place should be a no no. The water first of all, it is recycled and it is not chlorinated, second people do not flush the toilet down the toilet but rather pile it next to the toilet and since little kids go to the restrooms barefoot, they drag the germs with them to the water. This an e-choli outbreak waiting to happen. If you go, go when they just open for the summer, I would never take my children there ever again. read more

Area is a little rough (some reports of violence in the area), there is no shade, and parents do not watch their jerk kids. It would be lovely with a bit fewer people and some overhangs or trees for shade. The kids obviously love it though. This place is busy! But it makes sense on 100 degree days. We live a quick 10 minute walk (or 2 minute drive, if it's too hot) from here. There are always a billion kids running around having the time of their lives. Last year, there was a huge problem with kids bringing water balloons and clogging it up, but just haven't noticed that this summer. (Yay!) There is so much going on. To me, the best part is that there is a baby/toddler area with "softer" fun. The water comes out much slower and babies can crawl around without getting too overwhelmed. And all the while the bigger kids are getting drenched by the buckets of water that fill up and tip. It's great fun. And a wonderful way to beat the heat. read more

AWESOME! My 18 month old son had a BLAST!!!! I wasn't truly prepared to get super wet but he insisted playing in the "big kid" section and I got soaked! We are planning to go on a weekly basis during summer to have fun and to stay cool. We went here for the 1st time on 6/29/16 my kids had such a fun time! The water spray park is quite large I was impressed with how big it is there are also covered tables if you want to bring food for a picnic and a large grass area to relax on if you prefer to be in the sun. read more

The parking can be a pain on really busy days but we found the last spot in parking area but it was really only little kids today so we didn't stay I think this is a nice park they have built a play area for the kids that is outside of the spray area but it was just to hot kids can get hurt on the plastic so nobody was there we will have to try that area when it cools down read more

It's a very small backyard type of park that gets the job done but don't expect much. There are no changing areas just a couple of C- bathrooms. I took my 2yo around 2:30pm and he loved it! There are 3 different areas for different ages. It wasn't as busy as I expected it would be, though there were lots of kids playing and having fun. I couldn't believe the park (and parking) was free. There were also food and ice cream vendors there, so we bought an ice cream for $1. We'll probably go here at least once at week during the summer if it stays open! The Claycord website said, "To conserve water, hours have also been shortened by two hours a day... the park will be open Monday through Friday from 3 to 6 p.m. and noon to 6 p.m. on weekends. After school is in recess, hours will be noon to 6 p.m. daily." read more

The largest free spray park in the area. It was clean, not crowded. My son had the best time, it was very suitable for little toddlers. They have an area for different age groups. Perfect for a hot day, we had no issue parking, either. The only problem I had was some parents had their kids in underware or naked. I didn't find this ok, there should be rules. However, they did not seem to have staff available, it is a public area unsupervised... public, I dont think parents should expresa thay public nudity is ok to their little children, in front of a large group... or make other endure that so we have to explain the situation to our childreb. Those people should be banned. They do have rinse off showers, bathrooms and a picnic area. WE will be back, though, can't let a few bad apples ruin it for us...I just can't imagine, there were a lot of adult spectators, some could be predators, what kind of parent allows that? The water for the Spray Park is very much chlorinated, as it is recycled. The filter system is much like you would have at a swimming pool. The water is not fully potable, but it is very clean after being recycled. A new play structure in the same Park has just opened to complement the Spray Park, which is located in a public park in Concord and is totally free. Ample parking is nearby and is also free. People come from all areas surrounding Concord to mix with kids and parents who live nearby. It is a great place to be on a hot day, and the water now is very reliable. Several years ago, the water would turn off for no reason, frequently. Not now. In the 2017 season, the place is open until 7:30 p.m. There is no City employee on site, but everyone seems follow the rules and to get along nicely. There is a very nice mix of parents and kids at the Spray Park. read more
