The last time I cleaned my other leather jacket it was $65. This is just an fyi to anyone bringing your leather in for cleaning that it is $125. Someone at the store thankfully called me to let me know this and got my jacket back before it was cleaned and I picked it up. They do have some leather and suede cleaning supplies there and are all very helpful. I just wish I had known the cost.

In April, I took my…read more20-year old red patent leather pumps to get new soles because the old ones were crumbling off. I chose to go here because of the good cobbler reviews and the location was convenient. I picked them up 5 days later and when I got home saw that significant damage had been done to the uppers of my shoes and the soles that had been applied were already coming off and were smeared onto the bottom of the shoe. Even the heel caps were unsecured. The damage to my shoes had been covered in red shoe polish, which came off when I touched it. I was devastated. These shoes were a gift from my husband early in our relationship and are my favorite. They are not replaceable and have high sentimental value. I called the store and they did acknowledge that they knew something had happened to the shoes, but didn't tell me. They gave me the cobbler's information and I left him a message. When we talked on the phone he said he had sanded the upper because it had gotten some of the old sole on it and then covered it up with the polish. He said he could make it right. I went back to the store and talked to the cobbler in person. At this point, I didn't have a lot of trust in his judgment given that he didn't fix the original damage when it happened and didn't tell me what had happened. After a bit of back and forth, I asked for a refund. He said the owner would cut me a check. I also asked for compensation for fixing and/or replacing my shoes, but he insisted he could fix it. Given the lack of judgment and lack of honesty and accountability, I refused. I had to follow up with The Cleaners twice about the refund check only to find out that they had directly credited my original form of payment, but no one communicated with me about any of it. I ended up taking the damaged shoes to Dardano's in the hopes that they could repair the damage and they were amazing. I should have gone there in the first place (they were appalled at what had happened to my shoes). I cannot recommend Frank the cobbler here at The Cleaners and suggest extreme caution depending on what you need.

While I was getting my laundry together, this lady literally followed me around with a Swiffer like she was loss prevention for Tide Pods, just leaning on it and sighing dramatically. Ma'am... if you're that miserable, just say that. Then as I sat and waited I watched. And what I saw were multiple people grab plastic bags off a blue folding table and grab their laundry and go. No payments were made , no screaming or accusations brought forth.No signs. No prices. No "Bags for Sale" sign. Nothing. So naturally, I grabbed a few too. Homegirl came FLYING around the corner yelling, "Those aren't free! Those aren't free! We aren't supplying all of Evans and Weld County!" I said, "I guess you are... because everyone before me took some too." ‍ Since I have absolutely no problem paying for things, I asked, "Cool... how much are they?" Silence. BLANK STARES INTO THE ABYSS. Nobody knew. They looked at each other for a solid minute and must've communicated through telepathy because suddenly the official price became 4 small bags for $3. Amazing how that works. Cool. I paid for my apparently handcrafted, 10k gold plastic bags... ...and she STILL kept yelling, ranting, and trying to get in my personal space, like a dog with a bone. It was very clean, with rows and rows of washers and dryers. Different sizes of washers, depending on our needs. All machines took quarters or use of a app- It was much more expensive than I expected but the process and time spent at Soapy Jane's was painless. If I ever need a laundry mat again, I'll definitely come back to Soapy Jane's.
