The Springdale is much older than the Kingswood. Our family enjoyed swimming and volley ball. The playground is old and the slides need repair. We did the horseback riding and that was fun, except the horses hooves needed attention. You could tell they had not had a farrier out to trim the horses in a long time. Some of the kids running the horseback riding didn't seem to have a good handle on the horses. It was quite unorganized. The worst part of the experience was the river float. The river was not only slow but the water level was low and the water was quite disgusting. At many points, your butt was touching the bottom of the river and it was mucky, rocky, and we had to get out and walk. Wear water shoes! I don't understand why the river was not dredges of all the debris. With the water table being so low, they should have prepared us for a slow moving river, and seaweed everywhere. IT WAS A VERY BAD EXPERIENCE!

Probably the most corrupt horse stables in the mid west. The owner seems incredibly welcoming and…read moresmiley at first and the barn looks beautiful but after a few months we realized how different reality could be. The pastures were unkept, multiple horses have had injuries from loose nails, stalls contained incredibly uneven footing which is very detrimental to a horses health, even feeding was done wrong, leading to aggravated and unfed horses. Thankfully we were able to get out while we still could, but for many others it hasn't been so easy. Save yourself while you still can.

She completely enthralled our group of two adults and two teens. The ride was so peaceful. We booked the first slot and the horses were alert and ready to work. My beautiful horse, Winter, listened well and took very good care of me. Even though my guys liked their horses, they were so jealous that I got to ride her. It's cash only and please tip your guide. She/he will make or break your experience. The prices are very affordable. You won't regret booking Wild West Ranch. Fun tip: if you get Lisa, tell her you read great reviews about her on Yelp. I research everything and that was the first thing I told her. She was totally surprised. Have a great time.

This ranch did not disappoint. Each room is decorated so cute, the beds were very comfortable and having a private bathroom for each room was a defendant plus. The breakfast was homemade and very delicious! The owner made sure each room was clean and even asked us if the breakfast time was good for us. You won't get this kind of service at a hotel. The surrounding ranch was beautiful. Sitting on the large deck overlooking the horse ranch with coffee in hand was so calming. I wanted to stay longer. I would recommend staying here for as long as your vacation allows. You may even bring your horse or book to ride their horse. They have a large property with trails, along with state land behind them which also has many trails. I would recommend staying here, you won't want to leave.
