Working with Jeff was a pleasure! Professional, and knowledgeable and able to navigate the permitting process and required local ordinances that had to be met during the reconstruction processes. He helped interior South Lake Tahoe cabin remodel become a reality. We shared our ideas, and provided our budget. He was very good at working with us with suggestions and idea to keep us on budget. When unforeseen issues arose, he was quick to update us on the situation and offered solutions to remedy some of the antiquated and typical 1970's era construction. The Meagher Builders team delivered a year plus remodel of our kitchen, bathrooms, fireplaces, lighting/fans, driveway/patio, HVAC and multiple miscellaneous upgrades throughout our house in the Tahoe Keys. They were thorough and clear in the initial bid and worked cooperatively with us on ideas and changes throughout the project. Jeff is always willing to offer his opinion and share his expertise as we worked through changes/issues together and he appropriately disagreed with us based on his experience. The Meagher team is strong on ownership and communication, and in addition to Jeff, all of the Meagher team members are a pleasure to work with (John and Ben in particular). They act on your behalf and look out for your best interest, even at their own cost. The team closely manages the subs, holds them to commitments, and jumps in if there's a problem. I had Jeff come take care of some finish carpentry needs that had been accumulating at our place. Cabinet trim, a custom drawer, and door fixes. Not only was his work excellent (knew exactly what he was doing, had the right tools, and was very efficient)- he was communicative, showed up on time, as scheduled. We were introduced to Jeff Meagher to do two phases of remodeling for our A-frame in Olympic Valley. When I first met with him, I asked him questions about how long he had been in business and what he liked most about what he does. He told me his father had been in business in the Tahoe area for over 30 years. Then he said that is where he grew up learning to do the craftsmanship of his job. He said he loved working with people and helping them make their dreams come true for their homes. I explain what I wanted done in the house in two phases. The first phase was to remodel two bathrooms, put in new windows, and redo our outside deck railing. (After the brutal winter we had 18-19). The second phase was to put in new wood flooring throughout the house, his work was so precise especially around the existing stone fireplace base...heated flooring was put in the Master and guest room on lowest floor...remodel the master bath and a facelift to the kitchen with new countertops , sink, and appliances. Jeff was easy to communicate with from the very beginning to the end. The contractual part, to the materials, to the actual project was made understandable and the follow through was perfect. Jeff and his crew kept the parts of the house unaffected by construction sealed and clean during the project. He was very helpful when I asked questions or for his opinion in areas I wasn't sure of. His work is a real craft and we are so pleased with the job they all did for us. I have had a lot of work done throughout the years we have owned this home and another and Jeff by far was the best contractor I have ever worked with!!!
