I discovered some Termite damage in three Floor Joists and Rim Joists in my home. The Pest…read moreInspector said there was no active infestation, but I should call a General Contractor. Danny's first Crawl Space inspection led him to guestimate was there was $5,000-$6,000 of damage, but there was no way to know for sure without removing the exterior wall. After Danny thought about it for a couple weeks before he came to work on the house, he came up with a stroke of genius. Instead of removing the exterior siding, he cut a hole in the floor by the damaged Floor Joists so he could easily reach the damage without multiple trips through the crawl space. Then instead of replacing a 6+ foot length of Floor Joist, he nailed 8"x2" pressure treated wood bracing on either side of the Floor Joists and backed-up 4 Rim Joists with 8"x2" pressure treated wood. He also screwed into the foundation sidewall pressure treated 2"x4" wood side bracing support from the foundation footing to the bottom of four Floor Joists. He did this all in one day (with a helper) at a cost of $1,000 instead of his original guestimate of $5K-$6K. Danny is a Genius, hard worker, and very honest!

Our Hardie Board…read moresiding contractor referred Eugene to us when we needed major deck work, which involved our existing waterproof membrane on a large section of our upper deck over a downstairs room, as well as repairing our deck boards and railing. Eugene was patient and thoughtful as we discussed various options to maintain and protect the waterproof membrane and strengthen the structural integrity of our expansive decks on a hillside. He was mindful of our budget and, as a general contractor, identified and repaired another area in our crawlspace. He came up with creative solutions, and he has a great sense of design and style. We ended up replacing our upper deck with Trex composite boards. On the lower deck, his crew replaced most of the redwood boards and repainted the deck, even the wooden joists of the upper deck, for both wood preservation and aesthetic purposes. His crew paid attention to details. He also did the stone facing on our portico. Eugene went above and beyond. He's honest, experienced, and pleasant to work with.
