I was also under the impression, from paperwork I had filled out, that the first session would be definitely free and/or paid by insurance. When she found out about this, and that I did not know otherwise, she showed no sympathy - in fact, she almost seemed angry. I would have appreciated more warning and compassion about this. Had I know all this in advance, everything would have been different. I have an incredibly tight budget and little/no income. I came to learn about biofeedback as a new strategy for dealing with ADD, because ADD presents a serious challenge for me in my life. The biofeedback method is intriguing and I was glad to learn about it at the Institute with Patricia. At first Patricia was very congenial over the phone, which attracted me to this business. I told her I had other methods of dealing with anxiety and ADD besides pill or biofeedback, such as yoga, meditation, breathing techniques, diet, etc. She rejected these all as useless. I see this closed-mindedness to other healing modalities as a weakness and an ignorance in a healer/doctor of any kind.

This company changes their name a lot and an internet search of their reviews will show you disappointment across the board. We didn't realize that when our son started services, but right away this center wasn't what we hoped for. The behavior techs who work directly with the children all day are hardly experienced in even basic childcare. My son came home with poop in his pull up more times than not because no one could clean him up properly. He had heat rashes across his arms because no one had enough sense to take his coat off. You will never know the "registered behavioral techs" your child will be working with. Even if they promise you that staffing will be consistent, it will only be a couple weeks before that person disappears with no explanation. Check out the qualifications to be hired there. Absolutely no experience required, they will train you on the spot. I would drop my son off to an endless rotation of awkward, inexperienced staff who hardly introduced themselves. The lack of progress my son was making made it painfully obvious that the BCBA was not present. We stayed there for 7 months, like most parents of a child with autism, desperate and hopeful. Save yourself the devastation and go elsewhere. Early intervention is everything. Total Spectrum's biggest priority is billing hours.

The pricing and invoicing situation is not a "clean" process. Context: The cleaning services provided were just standard and we eventually decided to end our relationship with this company as the price did not justify the quality of the service. We were then presented with multiple invoices that were "forgotten" to be sent which was not our fault. After much back and forth we presented evidence of scheduled cleaning and payment made or not made. We paid the difference owed but was still constantly contacted about payment due which we proved was not owed. Due to the constant headache and unprofessional nature of the interactions we paid the difference (which was for services NOT delivered) so we could just move on. Know this poor and unprofessional experience occurred and everything stated is truthful in nature. This is simply to help others make the right decision for themselves. Update. In response to the below, the unprofessionalism was witnessed during the entire relationship, the invoicing was not accurate many of the times and delivered late when we decided to end the agreement, and we did pay for services not delivered just to be done with this.
