Great collection of greeting cards, stationary, poetry books, and other little artistic things. Such a clean and nice space. Worth a visit!

While…read moreon a trip to New York I popped in looking for some New York-based gift ideas for my sister. The woman behind the counter was very helpful in trying to assist me with finding something, and she even suggested some other stationary stores in the area too. I could tell she really cared about my shopping experience, and she was very knowledgeable. Well, despite her recommendations, I returned to Yours Truly days later and purchased some things from there. It just had more of what I was looking for, and I was more than happy to give the woman the business. Overall, it's a great stationary store to check out whilst in Brooklyn!

Their heaviest area of product seems to be greeting cards and wrapping paper along with pens, paper, post-its and other desk-type stationery. Staff is kind and product quality seems fine, although you will pay for that quality--that quirky card or small swatch of bespoke wrapping paper will be in the $7-10 range. Felt like the kind of shop I would normally adore, but I keep stopping in and leaving with nothing. It is incredibly niche for people interested in special or unique or bespoke products--and I do love them for that, it feels like the Brooklyn way, and I love that we have these bespoke shops for some people. This one is just a smidge too fancy and impractical and pricey for me.

Buyer BEWARE These people lie to your face and in their responses and the service in this place is just plain terrible then if you complain they want to involve police just like any other discriminatory party. Then they edit their comments to erase their mention of cops it's just ridiculous Their shirts are overpriced for their cheap fabric and the selection is no better than anywhere else Be careful if you're a POC (other than Asian) or LGBT cause they really don't seem comfortable and will watch you like a hawk. The workers don't even know how to tell if a bill is real or not they accuse you of it being fake tho just to decline you If you need souvenirs from Brooklyn go elsewhere Support the botanical garden or museum but this place is not the place to go if you're looking for good service, a good selection, or value for your hard earned dollars. You can walk them through the checks on it and they still don't believe you they are clearly off I haven't used any defamatory language or disrespect. I walked her through the checks, showed her the real bill and then she agreed it was indeed fake. Before I had decided her disrespect was not tolerable. The shop was acting in a way that is disrespectful and the staff needs training on what a bill looks like. Further who would counterfeit a 10$ bill ? No one that's who. This place is just trying to cover its tracks after being caught being rude. Now they're threatening to involve police for a real bill these people have nothing better to do than to discriminate indiscriminately. I've posted the exact bill. As I said before, I showed them each parameter of the bill and now they're saying I'm false. They're lying. They're now threatening me. Yes I took the bill after I showed her it was fake and decided I didn't want the magnet and pin for less than 10$. The video footage will show my taking it from her hand in my frustration, saying this was incredibly rude, and walking out. There was nothing sketchy on my end at all They saw my bill and decided it was fake. This business now threatens police action when they're the ones in the wrong. Magdalena should be ashamed of herself for this ridiculousness. Let's involve the police if you want ! They'll have the exact bill the review in the photos. These people are deranged and liars. Avoid them! Send the security footage ! It shows how I walked you through how the bill was real before you accepted it ! The only reason I walked out with my REAL bill is because you accused me of something you can't even verify !
