I had jumpstarted my rental car that morning and the car's computer was freaked out; so I needed to reset the car's computer to get the electronics working properly before the long trek back to Denver. I knew what I needed to do, and the wrench to do it. I just needed the wrench for 60 seconds to get me back on the road. CATS didn't need to help me out for nothing, but it would have been the right thing to do. The guy at the counter rudely explained they wouldn't give me the 10mm wrench to unhook my battery for 5 seconds and tighten it back down. He said the mechanic could "come look at it," but I'd be charged the hourly rate. Please. I told him I'd just go to the auto parts store and get a loaner set of tools for a 60-second fix - which is precisely what I did - and fixed it. My experience should give you a sense of this place. I wouldn't trust them for any car service whatsoever. They're about milking money out of people and not much else. Stay away!

But it gets worse....... My van got loaded, we drove 3 miles, and upon approaching the mechanic, the driver slams on breaks, my van came loose and rammed into the back of the truck. My front bumper got completely dented in, and I have pictures to prove it. I spoke with Willow, she spoke with management, and their solution was to refund me $130...... this won't cover the cost of the bumper, and or the labor to fix it..... and they don't care!!! I'm having to take them to court now!!! They want to act like it's a small dent but don't realize they completely bent the metal underneath the plastic covering. Completely scummy. He was ready and available to meet me at my destination within 30 minutes, I was the one that had to set the appointment for later in the day, we set the appointment for 3 pm. The most on time tow company I have ever worked with, showed up at 3 on the dot! The car was in a garage with a flat tire, he aired the tire up for me and helped push it out the garage! He made sure to take extra care of the driveway, car and all on both pick up and drop off of the car. The entire drive to the destination you could see him continually checking the car to make sure everything was correct and wouldn't damage the car. There was a 15 mile drive to the destination (30 mins) and the whole process took an hour including the drive. He works fast but incredibly safe!! I couldn't recommend this company more!!!!

PRESS RELEASE May 26, 2017 FMCSA CARRIER TIE DOWNS With regard to the recent exemption granted to the IITR petition, the intent of the petition was to clarify what is stated in 49 CFR 393.128 pertaining to the securement of automobiles, light trucks and vans and to address the use CFR 393.112, a general cargo rule which law enforcement was using to cite towers, disregarding the intent of 49 CFR 393.128. To clarify, the industry standard is a four point tie down, two non-adjustable tie downs attached to the rear of the vehicle and then two adjustable chains used to secure the vehicle. A winch line is not a securement method. It is a good time to review your cargo securement methods. Always take the time to properly tie down and secure your loads.
