Asked to have the district manager call me 3 weeks later still no call not surprised. STAY AWAY and watch every penny in your account. How sad.

I never heard from her so I assumed that the deposit went through. That was on a Thursday. On Wednesday of the next week I tried to make a transfer from my account but the bank check had not cleared. I called the corporate customer service line for an explanation and was told that one of the two people who handled my deposit would call me back when they returned from lunch. Hours later and again no call. While waiting for a call back I received a letter that said they had to place a hold on my deposit because "Information from the paying bank indicates that the check may not be paid". I called my bank who said that the bank check was the same as a certified check and that they never indicate to any bank that a check that they issued might not be paid. I then called and asked to speak to a Manager at the local branch. She was very understanding and calm. Flo assured me that she would lift the hold on my deposit and would speak to her staff about follow through. She further explained that my Online Bank (Ally) wouldn't speak to their branch personnel. So what had become a frustrating experience for me boiled down to the teller who took my deposit, and the people who were supposed to call me back with an explanation simply did not follow through.

This attitude is typical of staff at this location whenever customer feedback is provided. In this digital age such simple marketing tools are easy to execute and prevent customers from being inconvenienced.

Nobody offered to help, so I went to a teller, who told me I'd need an appointment that wouldn't be available today. This bank makes it very difficult to do business with them. Given the rates they pay, and how they are incredibly less than most other banks, say Morgan Stanley, for instance, it's becoming worth the effort to leave this place behind. I keep my account here, all those years, cos of the calendars, and I came to this branch for the first time, as I was driving thru Rancho Mirage, just to pick up my calendars. What's so special about the calendars? Well every year the calendar features only one scene a different artist, who depicts something in Riverside County, such as a historic place. After all those years, or even just 2, the calendars all look alike, and you have to look at the same artwork for 12 months! But the special feature of their calendars, is they have large boxes that you can write all your appts, AND THE PAPER CAN BE WRITTEN ON IN PENCIL. I document my entire life, almost every day for the last 37 years, on this pencil friendly Provident calendar Yes, almost all calendars have photos on glossy photo paper, that you cannot write pencil on, and still SEE what you wrote, and you can erase it with pencil eraser. Provident's calendar is just on regular paper, but pages are heavier stock. Also the calendar has only 6 pages, so not heavy. AFer half a year, you flip it over and the months continue on backside. Every year I look so forward to starting a new calendar, but they only come in after Thanksgiving, but I have things to write for next year much earlier than that, so I wish they'd come out amonth before Thanksgiving. 5 Yelp stars for Provident calendars!
