I read all the reviews (of lots of different places in Charlotte) before deciding to go to Dr. Ashley for some cosmetic enhancements. I like that she is a plastic surgeon and not just a PA or nurse who has gone to some training sessions to learn to inject fillers. Dr. Ashley is very direct and will tell you what you need (which is not always what you thought you wanted). I trust her expertise and have not been disappointed with the results. Yes, there is some pain but it's mostly just tiny pinches and it only lasts a few seconds. I try to schedule my appointments either late in the day or on my day off in case there is any swelling. You can return to work the following day without your coworkers noticing you had something done (they just think you look refreshed). I discovered the med boutique a couple of years ago and I have been in love ever since! they recently switched to a new location, lovely and easy parking. Once you enter the boutique you are greeted and made to feel like you are in a luxury spa. I meant to put a review a while ago, I am very happy to have found Dr. Ashley, it took two consultations, because the first time I got too nervous and somehow I made the mistake of choosing a different place, for my first time. On my second consultation I realized I should've come to see her for my first experience, she was honest and a true artist, knew exactly what I needed, she recommended Xiomin ( hope I'm spelling it right) similar to Botox, with her experience she suggested 20 units less than the other doctor had used on me and she also suggested Belotero and Radiesse I was very happy with the results, very natural and seems to be lasting more. During my most recent visit, I received Xeomin in my crows feet and lip filler for the first time. Worst experience with filler. After developing lumps and bumps throughout my lips, I went back into the office so they could poke holes in the bumps and attempt to squeeze the filler out. Weeks later and even more bumps were forming. I called the facility back and they wanted to see me again and I was told that if I wanted them to dissolve the filler, they could ORDER the product to dissolve the filler and that would take a week. While in the office and being examined, both Dr. Ashley and her daughter said they had no idea why my lips had formed all of these bumps. After a lot of research, seeing several injectors, and several other botched lip jobs, I know that it was the injectors error that caused these bumps to form. Dr. Ashley knew that too, but played it off like she had no clue why there were bumps. I also know how dangerous to not have dissolver on hand in case of emergencies. What a little gem I have found. Med boutique is a subsidiary of Ballantyne medical associates. This is the section of the doctors office that offer to you beauty enhancements. Being a first-time client, I inquired about their services online and the response was from the owner herself! Her attention to me and friendly customer service attracted me right away.I am so glad to have found them and they could not have been more professional or nicer. I went in for a new procedure that I have never had which is Xeomin. Xeomin is a sister to Botox and they educated me on this new injectable. I have been getting neurotoxin injectables for over 10 years and NEVER have I looked as awful as I look since I allowed Dr. Carlene Ashley touch my face. I have a droopy eyelid on one eye, completely uneven "11s" and my right eyebrow raises much higher than my left. My face is completely asymmetrical. Additionally, Dr. Ashley made a point to speak negatively about my appearance, specifically she told my my chin "recedes and it shouldn't do that" and that my eyes were tired looking. After my initial visit, I went back to have them assess the damage and all they offered was to add more neurotoxin "to even things out." I'd have to be insane to let them touch my face again. All Dr Ashley could do was say sorry and tell me to wait until it wears off in 3 months, which I guess is the best I can get in this situation. I will NEVER go back to this place and would caution others against it as well. They will botch your face!!! read more

I saw CHRISTYLEE and she is phenomenal! I've just moved back to the Carolinas and was hopeful of finding someone that really knows what they are doing with Botox. I've received Botox injections before, but none have given the results like Christy Lee was able to produce. She really knows her stuff and I am more than pleased with my results. She took her time to discuss the entire procedure with me, and made me feel comfortable throughout (which says a lot as I hate needles). I Went to med boutique with my mom because she was getting Botox it was her first time and she was nervous. I really love how everyone was very friendly and extremely passionate about what they do. While I was sitting there waiting with my mom I was asking the receptionist about the cool sculpting she squeezed me in the schedule to get a free consultation which I thought was really nice! My consultation was more then I expected she covered all my questions and concerns and she really took the time to educate me on the procedure and machine. I got a price list afterwards and on it says your beautiful I really love how they make you feel special at this office and don't just treat you like a patient they really take time with you and I can see by being there for that hour they build friendships with everyone . I went in to get Xeomin/Botox to raise my brows because one brow was lower than the other. Unfortunately, the results did not match up to expectations. My brows were not raised, they were actually lower, and I went back to get them fixed. I was told there was nothing they can do to fix it, that the purpose of Xeomin is not to lift the brows but to get rid of wrinkles. This just isn't true. I've had this done 4 times before, each time my brows have been lifted. Since I have to go elsewhere to get this fixed, I asked Janelle Ashley, the owner, for a refund, at least a partial because I didn't get what I asked for in the beginning. She was highly inflexible, stood by the work, and said it was done correctly. She offered to send me before and after pictures, and I verbally gave her my email address. However, she refused to send to me without me first requesting in writing via email. I finally sent her a written, email request. I still have not received the pictures. Bottom line, if a patient didn't get what they paid for, you need to be a little more humble and give them their money back. It's just good business. Dr. Ashley is a wonderful and talented person, I hate this happened because of her. Even the best makes mistakes. There is no excuse for poor management and poor customer service. read more

I think it is more of a cash cow for the owners than a true medical treatment facility. If one notices, the reviews are not recent. There is only (1) in 2016. Not really impressed with their customer service or their concerns over client issues. There answer seems to revolve around, "You need this, and this and more of this and then we can do this..."
