A rare find. I've gone to Med-One for years. Recently it has evolved yet again with the nurse practitioners taking a step forward as the main care givers. Both Crystal and Katie are incredible. I'd pick them over a doctor at any practice. They not only provide excellent heathcare, they listen and engage you in your own healthcare. Both are able to think outside the box and have a deep understanding of the body and how it works. They are also able and ready to help troubleshoot when you have an immune system that acts up. I've been to many practices, and my immune sustem baffles most doctors. But here, the nurse practitioners actually care and listen, working with me to find the best answers. read more

I've been going to this facility for 29 years now. I miss the old staff. Gary, Katherine, Cara, Olga and the front desk are always excellent, helpful, great at their job and very cordial. The facility office manager but mainly the newer medical assistants however were unprofessional and could not believe my experience today; quite rude, gossip behind your back, and in this visit made me feel uncomfortable. Everyone else has always been great. Update: I received a call and an apology and ensured no more gossip would be tolerated. This is truly appreciated. read more

This practice appears to have significant issues with doctor AND patient retention. In the 3 years I was there, 2 Physicians Assistants, and at least 3 patients, were released, kicked out of the practice. YES, releasing patients is a thing, typically VERY rare in the industry due to the downstream impacts of abandoning patients, but 3 in 3 years, clearly not for this practice, and 2 PA's too in that time? One has to ask what the heck is going on over there?! Why are they having so much trouble keeping doctors AND patients? What is the common denominator? Say it with me....POOR MANAGEMENT! There is much more I have to say on this subject but need to refrain in this forum. On 8/5, I canceled an appointment with a Physician Assistant more than 24 hours in advance and rescheduled for 8/9 to see my primary physician. Despite proper notice, I was charged a $100 cancellation fee for an appointment I never attended. The charge is unjustified and not a medical service fee. I was on short-term disability and needed to meet my physician to complete insurer-required paperwork. I've since received repeated past-due notices and payment demands for this disputed amount. The clinic also sent notice that they will not accept partial payments, raising concerns about unfair billing practices. When I raised my concerns in writing and advised that I intended to file a complaint, I received a text message from the office manager, Dr. Gruber, accusing me of being "threatening." As an African American woman, I found this characterizes my professionalism unfairly and offensively. I am requesting: Removal of the $100 charge. Written confirmation that no further billing or collection attempts will occur. I have pursued this through the BBB, the Department of Consumer Affairs, and other consumer protection channels. This complaint is to show their unfair billing, poor communication, and discriminatory treatment. read more

absolutely horrible practice. I missed an appointment I forgot I had , and was out of town for work. they literally kicked me out of their practice and turned me over to a credit agency for a 60$ no show fee that I stated earlier I forgot about. i was willing to pay the 60$ until they accused me of " trying to pull one " still not sure what that means.. this is only my experience but I must say it was odd and disrespectful to say the least. read more

I love that Med One addresses family medicine and chiropractic concerns. I have been a patient of Dr. Davis (internal medicine) for many years and became a patient of Dr. Gruber (chiropractor) several years ago. I can honestly say they both listen to my concerns and create plans to heal. The front-office staff are friendly, very welcoming, and always willing to assist in office or on a phone call making an appointment. I appreciate how everyone at Med One makes me feel cared for. I had terrible pains in my feet- neuropathy. It was horrible. The pain really inhibited my quality of life. Dr.Gary Gruber, at Med One on Harps Mill Rd, treated me with a special laser. Oh my goodness! I have my life back! I don't know any other practice that has this new technology. Treatments last about 20 minutes and they are painless. Also, Dr. Gruber is exceptional! Dr. Cara Davis, also at this practice, is the best Primary Care physician you could find. If you need a new doctor or chiropractor, you cannot do better than Med One. read more

This is a great practice. Dr. Cara Davis is the best doctor I have ever had. After hip surgery, I suffered lots of sharp foot pain. Dr. Gruber, in that office, treated me with lasers. Finally, I have my life back! Thank you, Dr.Gruber and Dr. Davis!!!!! read more

I cannot sing enough praise about these two, in particular, but the few times I've needed to see another doctor for one reason or another, I get the same thorough care. I saw a great review for MedOne on Nextdoor and thought that I would give them a try. It was an incredibly lackluster experience. Pros: nice provider, nice/clean/modern facility, very close to my home. Cons: Very hard to make an appointment, hard to call and speak to a living person, hard to get a returned phone call after leaving voicemail, and the annual physical that I had was a very odd experience. For physicals, this practice makes you have your lab work done the very day of your physical. This makes no sense because the patient can't review their lab work results with their provider at the time of the appointment. The practice also has limited/odd office hours. The providers may be nice/capable at this practice, but the customer experience is hugely lacking based on my experience. Will not be returning. read more

All the doctors there are great and actually listen to your concerns. I'm in and out and don't have to wait around.

I've been going to Med one since I moved down here from New Jersey. Staff is always super nice and the wait is never long. I even drive from Durham since leaving Raleigh last year to see dr. Davis, and Ulga is the best assistant who always remembers me and makes me feel so welcome. I saw there was only one review and felt the need to give a positive one because I would recommend them to anyone. read more

The staff here is extremely understanding, friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. I have to come in twice a week for a visit which sounds very tedious, however each member of the team here has been so friendly and kind it's become a pleasure... even after being stuck with a needle. read more

I came in with swelling, burning, itching and blistering on my face because I was told they were very knowledgable in regards to allergic reactions and I paid a $25 copay for cherysh to tell me to moisturize. read more

This group of physicians, nurses, and technicians had been a blessing to our family. Answers to medical needs have been extremely thorough, compassionate, and helpful. My husband recently mentioned a medication issue (prohibitive cost) of mine while visiting for his own exam. The typical response for another practice would be, "tell her to come see us". His request, and their solution,!was handled professionally and (again) compassionately. read more

I have been coming to this practice for a little over 3 years. I have seen Cherysh Gunkle and I have seen Dr Gary Gruber. I have never been to such a caring group of people. I never wait no longer than 10 minutes to see my provider. All my concerns are always addressed. I have called and have got in for an apt within minutes/a hour of my call. My providers call me back personally when I leave messages. I am use to a nurse calling back and relaying the messages. That right there makes me feels special as a patient. I would recommend this practice to anyone and everyone. read more

My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Cara Davis and Dr. Gary Gruber for many years. Service has always been great. The doctors and their staff are very professional and empathetic. The doctors are very intuitive and thorough. I had been to another doctor and physical therapist for months (due to restrictions from Workers Comp) with some success but no resolutions. Saw Dr. Davis for less than 5 minutes and she isolated the problem (spinal) and gave immediate relief with 2 nerve blocks. Dr. Gruber has been invaluable in his "spot on" chiropractic treatments on numerous occasions.The only complaint that I might have is that the practice is so popular that it is sometimes difficult to get a "same day appointment" with Dr. Davis or Dr. Gruber, but they are very accommodating and also have first rate PA's and Nurse Practitioners. We have never been unable to "get seen". I do not hesitate to see anyone available on their staff for treatment. All are above par. I always leave the office feeling that all my questions have been answered thoroughly and that any follow up care has been scheduled correctly. It is rare in this day and age to find care and service that is equal to this practice's. read more
