I saw Jessica Hedrick in March. She wanted to do a physical. She said it should be far enough from the last time I had one from my previous PCP so my insurance would accept. My insurance didn't accept, so I am out $317. They then wanted labs. They couldn't draw so they asked me to be back in at 750 am the next day. I came in at 740, waited until 840. I asked the front desk after 10+ people were seen. She said "oh you didn't have an appointment so you just have to wait". I set up an appointment at 740 this morning. I got there at 752 because of an accident on or near falls of neuse. 4 people were ahead of me in line. I got to the receptionist and they told me to make another appointment. There appears to be only one AI operator for all of the offices for Wake Internal Medicine and the interactive program for the Patient Portal needs a lot of help After going through the AI operator and being transferred to a live agent for Durant Rd and sitting on-hold for 15 minutes once and about 30 minutes one time I never reached anyone. I tried the Patient Portal and could not get in so I tried to setup an account and was told another account existed in my name. I requested the Password and got nothing. How is a patient supposed to contact this practice? read more

At first I was hesitant about seeing anyone other than an MD. However , I needed blood pressure medicine when I moved to town so I ended up with Jessica Hedrick PA. She has been FANTASTIC and have been using her as my primary care physician ever since. I can't say enough good things about her. read more

After 25 years as his patient, my Primary Care is retiring from Wake Internal Medicine. While I was very satisfied with the Dr over that time, I only found out that he was retiring this month when calling in to ask for a Dermatology referral. My annual appointment next month was canceled with no appointment scheduled with another Dr at Wake Internal. There was no help, explanation or offer to help from the staff on that call or a subsequent call. read more

Dr Vu is amazing! She is so personable and I don't mind going to her and I hate going to the doctors. Everyone in the office is super friendly and I never have a long wait in the waiting room which is so rare for any doctors office. I have been going to Wake Internal Medicine since 2011. Jessica Hedrick, PA-C is a great physician. She is truly concerned about you and your wellbeing. I have recommended her to my mother, and now Jessica Hedrick, PA-C is both our primary doctors. They are usually able to get you in rather quickly. The front desk and the nurses are very helpful and friendly. The phlebotomist is one of the best I've had. I love the fact that they have the Patient Portal, you can get answers and labs so quickly. read more

Great staff, from reception to medical personnel. Knowledgable and personable. They also offer, or are connected with, other specialties that includes nutrition counseling, gastroenterology, pulmonary medicine, gynecology, geriatrics, nonsurgical orthopedics, and physical therapy. There is even an urgent care clinic on site. Short wait time for appointments. Very clean office. Plenty of parking. They also have another office on Blue Ridge Rd. read more

I've been going here for years and have been quite happy for the most part. I've changed Doctors due to personal preferences over time but have been quite satisfied with the care,compassion, thoroughness, politeness and professionalism of the practice. It is a little bothersome to have to listen to all the prompts when making an appointment, but whether you need a yearly check up or an illness visit, they always have been able to schedule me in a timely manner with the Doctor I've requested. If you are in need of a good dependable family practice I would certainly go to Wake Internal Medicine. read more

Dr Christopher MCDANIELS and his PA get a 6 rating I love my doctor he is awesome but today I was sick and could not see my doctor but I did see his PA Jessica she was great but I felt the front desk could have way more compassion I showed up early today for my appointment and wait over 3 hours I even asked if I should go next door for urgent care but the front desk was not helpful at all guess customer service is not high on the list you have to remember I have choices and I will return for my doctor read more

I took a home COVID test this morning (Friday) that was positive. I called my doctor immediately at 10:15 am and asked for medication for COVID. I was told that an urgent request was sent to my doctor's nurse and I was told that the medication would be called in within a couple of hours. I called my pharmacy at 1:30 and they had not received the prescription. So I called my doctor's office again and the woman that answered said she saw the request and would text the nurse to find out what was going on. I was then told that the prescription would be called in immediately and another hour goes by and I called my pharmacy and they had no prescription. I called my doctor's office again and this time they told me that I had to do a telehealth appointment but none were available until Monday. Why didn't they tell me at 10:15 am that I had to do a telehealth appointment? I have been at this practice for over 20 years but I will not go back ever again. read more

From the kind, relaxed greeting I received at the check-in, the amazing attitude of caring from Nurse Mary, to the efficiency of the PA - Matt, everything was great. I have no issue with Dr. McDaniels but his nurse / assistant wasn't friendly. My complaint is with the office. On two separate occasions I had to have labs done and had to reschedule due to the lab tech's unavailability. The second time was particularly annoying as I had set up an appointment, which turned up to be during the the lab tech's lunch hour. I'm not sure what the disconnect is but that kind of disorganization gets under my skin a little. read more

Get these people some new admin staff and teach them how to answer a phone!! Get rid of the terrible, awful circular recordings that go no where!! I think a Drs office is only as good as their ability to respond to a patient. It doesn't matter how good the Dr is if the staff won't return calls, relay a message, order a prescription or whatever it is. It takes weeks to get an appt. and weeks to respond to a call. They will lose patients just because of these terrible communications. read more

I am extremely disappointed with the care I have received at this Durant Road location. I have been a patient there since April of 2011 and have been in the care of Dr. Meier. Although Dr. Meier is a very nice person, the team that supports him at this location is terrible and as such my care has suffered. Dr. Meier's nurse Donna is extremely rude, disorganized, and does not follow through on the things she is supposed to do for the patient - like properly scheduling the tests and orders that Dr. Meier has requested for the patient. Things that should be done in one visit often take 3 because of the level of incompetence by the staff all of which results in unnecessary time off of work and additional co-pays for the patient, not to mention multiple billings to my insurance carrier. No wonder medical costs are so high because offices like this one can't get everything done correctly on the first try so they have to do things 3 times before they get it right. Also, good luck trying to get someone at this office to acknowledge let alone respond to patient concerns as your options are automated voice mail system or a ONE WAY secure email system from them to the patient - laughable called the patient portal! read more
