My mom needed to go to the ER. I had called the paramedics, but they explained that although her situation wasn't considered an "emergency," she still needed to see a doctor. My mom is non-mobile, nonverbal, and has dementia, so finding transportation was extremely difficult. I contacted her insurance, but unfortunately, they did not cover non-emergency transportation. Kaiser provided me with a few nonprofit organizations that assist seniors, but unfortunately, none of them were able to help. I started calling private transportation companies, but because it was a Sunday, no one was available. I was desperately searching for someone who could help us. I was completely overwhelmed, stressed, and honestly, I was about to cry from frustration. Then, thankfully, I found Rami Cohen through a private transportation company. Rami listened to my situation and referred me to Delia at Golden Heart. I called Delia and explained what I needed. Without hesitation, she was already on her way to meet me and my mom. She was truly a Godsend. Delia picked us up, took my mom to the ER, and then came back about 4 hours later to pick us up and take us safely home. My family and I are truly grateful to both Rami and Delia for helping us when we needed it most. Delia was kind, professional, compassionate, and genuinely caring about our situation. She made an extremely stressful day so much easier for me. Golden Heart will forever be my first call when my mom needs transportation. They used a guerney. A trip like this one way should be $150. Even $300 would be high. I could have booked a roundtrip for $300 from Hollywood to Santa Monica. The Hospital didn't give my medical information? Surely they didn't book a low risk nearby trip for $2,000? They informed me that they did not have a bariatric stair chair. "They're not well funded enough." they left me sitting out in the parking lot wearing just a hospital gurney at 11 o'clock at night not having the proper equipment to either strap me into the chair the stair chair they proceeded to contact 911 by suggestion to see if they have the proper equipment and even the fire department in Glendale said that their unit doesn't carry that. Both PRN and the fire men on duty, proceeded to manhandle me up the stairs and dragged me at one point. When we finally got up to my apartment after waiting an hour in the driveway, they literally threw me on my bed and said OK. Let's get out of here. under no condition would I recommend PRN. I have placed a complaint with Kaiser.

Armstrong had no problem using a wheelchair and assist my mom to stand up. They were very professional, accommodating, and reasonably priced. They stayed in communication with me all the time.
