This is going to be my first review, and I truly feel that Golden Heart deserves to be recognized…read more I found Golden Heart when I was under an incredible amount of stress. My mom needed to go to the ER. I had called the paramedics, but they explained that although her situation wasn't considered an "emergency," she still needed to see a doctor. My mom is non-mobile, nonverbal, and has dementia, so finding transportation was extremely difficult. I contacted her insurance, but unfortunately, they did not cover non-emergency transportation. Kaiser provided me with a few nonprofit organizations that assist seniors, but unfortunately, none of them were able to help. I started calling private transportation companies, but because it was a Sunday, no one was available. I was desperately searching for someone who could help us. I was completely overwhelmed, stressed, and honestly, I was about to cry from frustration. Then, thankfully, I found Rami Cohen through a private transportation company. Rami listened to my situation and referred me to Delia at Golden Heart. I called Delia and explained what I needed. Without hesitation, she was already on her way to meet me and my mom. She was truly a Godsend. Delia picked us up, took my mom to the ER, and then came back about 4 hours later to pick us up and take us safely home. My family and I are truly grateful to both Rami and Delia for helping us when we needed it most. Delia was kind, professional, compassionate, and genuinely caring about our situation. She made an extremely stressful day so much easier for me. Golden Heart will forever be my first call when my mom needs transportation. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for compassionate, reliable, and professional care. Thank you, Rami and Delia, for being there when we needed you.

Delia accommodated our schedule and her price was more reasonable than several other NEMTs I called. She is very easy to deal with on the phone. Finally, our driver Julio was very personable and always on time the four times we have driven with them. On our first ride he waited several unpredictable hours for us for the return trip. They seem like keepers.

My Uncle is tall, 6'5" , and he requires some extra care. They were polite, professional and friendly and immediately put me at ease that were handling him with care. I later learned that one of the young ladies was in training but you could not detect that from his demeanor or hers. At one point I heard him calmly coaching her through a task but that was the only giveaway. I hope I've located the right Lifeline office but if not, please reply so I can correct that. The other young lady managed the handoff with the hospital and all the paperwork with them and later me, and all of even that transaction was smooth and professional. I hope I've located the right Lifeline office but if not please reply so I can correct that. My apologies to the young ladies for not getting there names as well but I was also monitoring the handoff from the Ambulance back to the care facility and it got away from me. Well done all. Thanks.

I tried several times over many months to cancel my service because I could not use the device. Each time I called, I was transferred to different departments or told someone would call me back, but no one ever did. I returned the equipment in October, yet I continued to receive delinquency notices for past charges, with no acknowledgment of my earlier attempts to cancel. Their communication and follow-through were very poor, especially for senior

Then we had to change our start date because of street service and Armstrong accommodated us. My mom didn't quite need to be on a stretcher but she couldn't stand without assistance. Other companies refused to help her and said we would have to get a stretcher, except because of the narrow hallways it wouldn't work. Armstrong had no problem using a wheelchair and assist my mom to stand up. They were very professional, accommodating, and reasonably priced. They stayed in communication with me all the time. Unfortunately we didn't get to use them long as my mother passed shortly after we started using Armstrong but I am grateful that they made it easy and affordable for us. If you ever need transportation, this is an outstanding company.
