Frank is nothing short of brilliant. Vintage watches that even the manufacturer couldn't fix gain a new life in Frank's hands. He has the patience to seek out and find the essential parts that are no longer being made, and he recently revived an 18-kt. Piaget watch for me. I bring him all my fine jewelry--for resizing, re-stringing, cleaning, and more. He and his warm and delightful wife, Dawn, are a fantastic team. I first met Frank after seeing a banner in his window, "Pearls restrung while you wait." Other jewelers usually send pearls out for restringing, and in addition to the annoyance of having to wait several weeks to have them back, at least one warned me of the risk involved: Better quality pearls could be stolen and replaced with inferior ones when "restrung." Having then done on the spot resolved both issues. Frank did a beautiful job, and he has been my jeweler ever since. In addition to the services mentioned, Frank and Dawn offer a nice collection of new and vintage pieces. Even if I don't have a piece that needs repair, I like to stop in to browse the jewelry they have for sale. I've been extremely satisfied with everything I've bought. This jeweler is one of the best local jewelers!!! I had taken a piece of jewelry in to be set because the quality and craftsmanship from the original jeweler that set the diamond was so bad I wouldn't wear the necklace. He worked with me and gave my many suggestions. I was working on a limited budget and he suggested that maybe if I had some pieces at home I was no longer wearing he would buy them and put the money towards the repair. I ended up getting my diamond set properly and getting some money back This was so helpful since I had been bamboozled by the original person that set the diamond. I recently brought my mother's wedding rings to Frank to see if he could re-purpose them for me. He took the time to design a beautiful necklace from the stones for me. I also brought him some other old pieces that I had. Not only did he give me an excellent price for the gold, he made me a gorgeous pair of earrings from the stones and rhodium plated the other pieces so they look like new! I have dealt with far too many jewelers in my life but none as spot on as Frank at Medallion Jewelers in Larchmont. He is an honest man who does exceptional work. In the past when I had things custom made, they never came out the way I explained it to the jewelers. I had wax models made before ordering a piece but still things often disappointed me.
