This location of North Star is terrible. This started with all information being in mychart which…read morethey didn't review. Then they sent a form to complete which they still didn't review. we arrived 5 minutes late which they said they had to reschedule for 30 minutes later. After getting rescheduled the tech comes out and says you need to take this prescription before getting your scan due to allergies but you have to contact the prescribing doctor to get the prescription filled at the pharmacy. Two of the three prescriptions were OTC but one of the OTC prescriptions has been discontinued. For the life of me I can't understand why they would provide a prescription for an expired medication. I've contacted North Star trying to get the alternative prescription but I was told they would call me back in 15 minutes which I never received so when I called them they put me on hold and never returned to the phone. The two ladies at the front desk never have a clue and do a terrible job with patient handling.

The info that I had from the fair was all that I ever received. The price for the CT was pretty fair,but it's obvious that the goal is to get you to upgrade to the more expensive package deals. As others have mentioned, the "health consultant" that you meet with prior to your service is actually a sales person with no healthcare background. Also, you have to request your images as they do not come with the final report. The experience was a little off-putting, but I did get some insight from the heart scan.

They pressured me into doing a DNA test and then charged me $1,000, despite the fact that I have insurance that covers this type of test for medical purposes. Small clean changing room with lockers to secure your belongings. MRI tech was curious and explained everything very well. I was given ear plugs and a blanket. I then changed as they prepared my CD of my scan. It was a fairly open machine and did not feel claustrophobic while being scanned. Would be a patient here again. Only suggestion would be to have an option to listen to music with headphones during the scan or glasses that have mirrors to enable you to see out the ends of the tube.

Details: Envision Imaging is conveniently located on Plano Pkwy near Marsh Lane. Gorgeous and sparkling clean medical office building. I had an MRI and CT Scan this week at Envision Imaging. Nurse was professional, a good communicator, friendly, and cheerful. It is wonderful to have a nurse who smiles and can relax a patient. Nurse explained everything in an easy way for me to understand. I appreciate her expertise and her willingness to have short conversations with me. She gently inserted the catheter that was used for contrast dye. She also gently removed the catheter after the procedures were complete. MRI and CT technicians were also professional and good communicators. They also explained everything ahead of time so I knew what to expect. Two days later I returned to Envision Imaging to pick up my CD-ROM of previous imaging. I also picked up a CD-ROM of the MRI and CT that Envision Imaging performed. Front desk staff was friendly and efficient. They quickly provided the 2 CD-ROM that I ask for. Thank you to the entire staff at Envision Imaging on Plano Pwky. Not to worry though, I was able to find it in my emails on my phone and completed the registration process with a lovely lady named Geraldine. It was nice to visit with her and she was very patient and kind. I was completely blown away by the care that Delia gave me during the mammogram process. This was the most gentle and KIND mammogram experience I have ever had. I am dismayed at all of the negative reviews and hope that Solis Plano gets a little more love. I thought it was nice that the lockers in the mammogram examination area had names of strong women on them that matched a picture of the woman on your key chain. I chose Mother Teresa! Delia was absolutely the kindest and most tender person. She treated me with dignity and respect and we had a nice conversation during the exam. Delia indicated I would get my results within 2-3 business days; but you know what? Minh Nguyen M.D., Solis Mammography Dedicated Breast Radiologist, emailed me those results within 24 hours. The doctor came in like she was in a rush, she was Asian and seemed not to care the least about the diagnosis, like it's "one more" and who cares? I was overwhelmed with no one to be with because obviously they don't allow spouses to go back with you. I had only an ultrasound but they billed the insurance for both, an ultrasound and a mammogram. As you walk in they have desks for check in right in the hallway path with no privacy. Everyone in the waiting area can hear your private information. The staff is rude and not compassionate at all! In a place like this that you are vulnerable and scared they don't care the least about how you feel. Never going back! There are other choices.
