This was an amazing experience and exceeded all of my expectations. This process was seamless from start to finish with the exception of me forgetting to bring my insurance card (DOH!). Not to worry though, I was able to find it in my emails on my phone and completed the registration process with a lovely lady named Geraldine. It was nice to visit with her and she was very patient and kind. I was completely blown away by the care that Delia gave me during the mammogram process. This was the most gentle and KIND mammogram experience I have ever had. I am dismayed at all of the negative reviews and hope that Solis Plano gets a little more love. I thought it was nice that the lockers in the mammogram examination area had names of strong women on them that matched a picture of the woman on your key chain. I chose Mother Teresa! Delia was absolutely the kindest and most tender person. She treated me with dignity and respect and we had a nice conversation during the exam. Delia indicated I would get my results within 2-3 business days; but you know what? Minh Nguyen M.D., Solis Mammography Dedicated Breast Radiologist, emailed me those results within 24 hours. Extremely unprofessional, the technician who performed the ultrasound told me I had cancer and walked out to get the doctor. She left me by myself for almost 10 minutes! The doctor came in like she was in a rush, she was Asian and seemed not to care the least about the diagnosis, like it's "one more" and who cares? I was overwhelmed with no one to be with because obviously they don't allow spouses to go back with you. I had only an ultrasound but they billed the insurance for both, an ultrasound and a mammogram. As you walk in they have desks for check in right in the hallway path with no privacy. Everyone in the waiting area can hear your private information. The staff is rude and not compassionate at all! In a place like this that you are vulnerable and scared they don't care the least about how you feel. Never going back! There are other choices. read more

Solis Mammogram made a basic medical process unnecessarily stressful. I received an email saying my results were ready, but the system did not recognize my date of birth so I could not access them. I sent several emails asking for help and received several automatic responses but none included a solution or my results. I searched for a phone number and every option sent me to automated answers that redirected me to the same landing page. I found numbers for finance, marketing, press, everything except customer service. I finally had to pretend I wanted to make an appointment just to reach a human who could give me my results. This should not happen with something as important as a mammogram. I am never going back. Their use of automation creates barriers and friction instead of support, and the experience was unnecessarily stressful. read more

Would be five stars, BUT...I've been here three times over the past 6 months and had been impressed with their efficiency. Every person I've had contact with had been super pleasant. Location is convenient with its own door...no traipsing through a medical building to find it. Knocking off a star because their "robes" are actually thin capes (think Christmas tree skirt) that only have snaps above the breasts. So, you spend your entire time checking and double-checking that you're not flashing everyone in the waiting room while also freezing because your sides are exposed. AWFUL. Compared to the place in my previous town where I got mammogram that had actual robes that were stored in a HEATED COMPARTMENT! Talk about feeling cared for. Oh, also I think Solis can knock it off which the lockers named after "inspirational women." The last thing I want to think about when I'm back for a suspicious result is choosing the Anne Frank (!) locker! read more

The technicians and everyone at the center are extremely nice and professional. They usually get me in and out very quickly. However, for the last several years I've had problems with them not billing my insurance correctly as a preventive service, so then they want me to pay them something, when it should be 100% covered, and I have to spend months trying to get it straightened out. read more

This was my first visit to this facility after my primary care provider ordered both a mammogram and a bone density exam. As someone who has never had these tests before, I scheduled what appeared on the website to be two separate appointments one for each service. There is no clear explanation online that booking a mammogram automatically includes a bone density exam, which understandably led to confusion. Upon arrival, I was called back by a staff member (she has a strong accent) whose behavior was shockingly unprofessional. She was extremely rude, dismissive, and repeatedly talked over me while I was calmly attempting to explain that I had physician orders for both exams. Rather than listening or clarifying the situation, she cut me off and spoke to me in a condescending tone as if I aught to know policies and procedures. Patients coming in for these types of exams are often already anxious. Being met with hostility and poor communication only adds unnecessary stress. I expect a healthcare facility to prioritize professionalism, clarity, and basic respect , especially when addressing scheduling misunderstandings that could have easily been resolved with proper communication. I unfortunately have to come back since my appointment was cancelled. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and ensures future patients are treated with courtesy and respect. read more

I have had more trouble getting films of my mammograms! i filled out the form called every week and they still havent sent films from previous years. I had breast cancer years ago so I stayed with St Davids Breast cancer for over 20 years. Then Solis Mammography took it over. They are so rude, disorganized and uncaring! I wanted to pick my films up before I had another biopsy and they said it would be another 15 days wait, because my other form had expired ( I filled out the form 6 months ago). I went in to the Hurst location Oct 2024 for a routine annual exam that ins covers 100%. Before even being seen they get your ID & ins at check-in. June 2025 I get a call from a collection agency for that routine visit that ins should have covered 100%. I NEVER RECEIVED A BILL OR CALL FROM SOLIS ABOUT INSURANCE ISSUES. Nothing. Nada. I call and was told they had the wrong info, so I gave it again. Then another collection call. I call back and was told they didn't even have ins info for me, so I provided it again. Then another collection call. So I call again and was told they submitted the claim to in July 2025 but had yet to hear back from in. Got ANOTHER collection call - after I have already asked them to ask the collection to stop harassing me until they figure out what's going on......I call again and was told again they didn't have ins info on my account. WHAT?! So I asked for my account to be escalated because something is wrong and I am NOT going to pay for THEIR mistake. I have asked the automated system and 3 separate people to send me an itemized bill showing the charges and also what dates they submitted claims to the ins so I could try to get ins to look into it. I have yet, as of 10/27/2025 to receive any bill, statement, letter showing the charges or when they submitted the claim. I called the ins company and they have absolutely NO RECORD of them EVER submitting a claim. Ins also said the claim window closed April 2025, so they will not pay it now, and gave me a # for Solis to call to talk to them. Today, I received a call from an odd # displaying BLOCKED for the name and a (415) area code, didn't answer of course. They left a vm & said it was the supervisor Paul from Solis & they sent it to ins again (pointless now) and they would contact me again once they get my info off the collection list. I have used Solis for years, this is the first time I have EVER had an issue like this with them and after reading the reviews here I am starting to wonder why all the sudden we're all having issues getting our insurance to cover claims - could it be Solis isn't actually submitting them and only saying they are? I know my insurance company did not receive anything from them. Curious indeed. read more

Awful experience! I complained to a manager after being mistreated by a technician during the exam to the point that it was actually abusive and really disturbing. I was bruised for a week afterward, and nobody ever reached out to check on me or apologize. There was zero empathy, which is so important and sadly so rare among the technicians who do these exams, and it honestly felt like the lady didn't even want to be there, like she was working for free. Disappointing. We need new clinics that can compete, with professionals who are actually trained to deal with women, with humans. read more

For 30 years I went to Dr. Weinshelbaum for my mammograms, but was extremely disappointed to have my last scan done 3 weeks ago by Doctor's Imaging staff. I received a report that I needed to have a rescan done on one of my breasts but knew I wasn't going back to them (after 30 years of clear exams). It is impossible to speak with an employee without being on hold for a long time and when I did talk to someone, they were very impersonal and abrupt. I contacted Solis Mammography and they were efficient, professional, kind, caring and I received my results immediately. Even though their physicians are remote, there is no doubt that I received better care with them than I would have received at Doctor's Imaging. I strongly suggest to all of the women in Gainesville to make an appointment with Solis Mammography for their mammograms. My mom is experiencing what appears to be elder abuse & racial discrimination by SOLIS MAMMOGRAPHY, because she had her recent yearly mammogram & BEFORE her appointment she contacted Humana(her so called insurance provider) to confirm that Solis was a in-network provider. She was assured that Solis was in-network & that she would not pay anything out of pocket. As a result, she proceeded with making an appointment with Solis but BEFORE allowing them to perform the mammogram, she asked them to confirm that they were in fact in network and that she would not receive a bill after the exam. The front desk clerk reviewed her insurance and confirmed that they were a network provider and that she would NOT be billed out of pocket for the visit/exam. Today, she received a bill from Humana stating that she owes $77.xx for her mammogram because although she walked into a SOLIS facility, she owes money because a "Specialist" from ROSE IMAGING performed the mammogram. The reasons we believe it is elder intimidation & racial discrimination is for a couple reasons: 1. It's the 2nd year in a row that this has occurred with SOLIS! Last year Humana told my mom that Solis was a in network provider and after her visit, she received a bill a whole YEAR later that stated they were a Out of Network provider. When my mom contacted Humana & Solis to dispute the bill, she was told and I quote "Solis is a in-network provider. However, the location you went to is OUT OF NETWORK". Really??!!! 2. Our good friend and neighbor who just happens not to be of African American descent has the exact same Humana plan as my mom and gets her mammograms done at the same exact SOLIS location and has never been billed a dime for the same services. Two years in a row...Coincidence?? I think not!! SOLIS is the only medical facility I know who has signs hanging in their office threatening patients if they're not nice to their staff. If the staff are nice and not mistreating their patients why do they need the signs to remind patrons to be nice? That in itself speaks volumes about the culture of this company and it's also starting to feel like a SCAM! Will definitely NOT pay a dime of the bill and will be filing complaints to every agency that's open immediately after submitting this review. I have had my exam there for over 10 years. I had an appointment today. Solis is about 60 miles from my home. I get there after driving on the hwy in the rain for the lady to tell my they stopped taking my insurance in march. My appointment was made 12 months ago. No one could pick up a phone and call me. I probably got about 5 different text, 3 different voicemails and 2 emails reminding me of my appointment I get there and they say we don't take your insurance anymore. Mind you I completed my online info with the insurance info on there. I wasted a day off from work. I even called my insurance to ask if I needed a referral and they said no. This facility really needs to show more compassion and understanding toward their patients. I was 15 minutes late for my appointment, and instead of notifying me or offering any flexibility, they immediately canceled my appointment. You never know what someone might be going through that causes them to run late -- especially at a place providing mammography screenings, where patients may already be dealing with anxiety or personal challenges. Rather than taking pride in canceling appointments and "flexing" that power, they should focus on supporting patients and showing empathy. A 15-20 minute buffer would be reasonable and humane. With the current low ratings, I would think they would prioritize treating people kindly and welcoming as much business as possible. Sadly, experiences like this are exactly why those low ratings exist. read more

If you're the type of person that gets uncomfortable around transgender people, you should go to this place. You will feel right at home. The lady at the desk continually and, I feel, purposefully misgendered me the entire time I was there, after being repeatedly corrected and asked to gender me properly. There were problems getting them my insurance card because they couldn't just accept it in email and didn't keep the one on file I had sent in. Then when everything was cleared up, they told me that to get a routine breast screening, I'd need a doctors approval. Congratulations making me cry. A one star rating is entirely too generous. Moved out of state, with mail forwarding, and never received a bill. Received a shady collections text the other night that I owed money. I called multiple times to Solis to confirm, but it's impossible to contact billing. For example: - Called the main number on the website and provided a billing option to select, but that just forwards to the scheduling department, who provides you with another phone number - The second number results in hearing a message to call back during normal business hours, BUT THE HOURS ARE NOT LISTED. - Call back to the first number, select the billing department option, automatically forwarded to scheduling, received another number. - Third number receives an automatic message stating that they are having technical difficulties and disconnect. - Called the original number, selected billing option, was forwarded to scheduling AGAIN, and explained the issue, and supposedly someone from the "leadership team" is suppose to call me back. Meanwhile, in addition to this YELP review, will be filing complaints with both state attorney generals and commerce departments, and my previous insurance provider. read more

Ever since this company (progressive radiology) was bought out there is no help at all. I am pointed to a 3rd party billing company that I have spoken with every 2 weeks since May. My screening breast ultrasound was run as a diagnostic so they can get paid more. Never mind it was screening. They used the incorrect cpt code so they can get more money. Well, the coverage is different and not covered as a preventive screening any longer although it was ordered as a screening. Just so they can get more money. Never mind the patient that doesn't have the money to cover their mistake. I cannot get anyone to correct this issue. I have just been told over and over to call back, and nothing changes and then when they call me back still nothing has changed. This company got greedy and it shows. I will never ever ever recommend this place to anyone ever again. poor customer service all the way. Not by the local people working but by the company in charge. Do yourself a favor. Will never ever deal with this company again! I'm pretty sure there is some shady stuff going on. When I was in the office they charged me my full deductible for my mammogram. I knew it should have only been $30 copay because that is what it was the year prior, but they wouldn't let me leave until I paid over $400. At that point I just paid to leave because I had another appointment after and assumed they would refund after I received my insurance EOB. When the EOB came I called them on 5/13. They said allow 6-8 weeks for the refund. 8 weeks came and nothing, I still have my deductible due on other bills. I have called several times to check the status and nothing for months. In July, I submitted a BBB dispute and they said they would send a check. No check arrived and I check my mail daily plus I have the app that shows incoming mail. I contacted them again several times and no response or updates. Finally got a call from Robin on 9/25 in billing to verify my address and said I should receive refund via FedEx with check in 1-2 business days. When 2 days came I called. No updates no tracking. Called again no updates, and again and again and again. At this point we are at over FIVE MONTHS since I requested my refund and I have received nothing but lies. I'm trying to care for my mother who has cancer, I have heart problems, and I work full time plus I'm a mother of two. I shouldn't have to dealing with all this for this long. I will continue calling until I receive my check or seek legal advice. If anyone else has gone through this and knows how to get my money, let me know because I'm at a loss. At all costs, I would stay away from Solis. They are owned by private equity and I feel like they see good benefits and look for problems. They made me do an MRI after 2 other test did not confirm breast cancer or lumps. The MRI was inconclusive and now they turned me down for my annual well women's check. They want more money to perform another mammogram that is higher resolution. That should have been their 2nd test last year. There are nice people at the clinic but I would not want others to go through what happened to me. read more

This location in Plano is my "go to" BECAUSE: 1) of the warm and contagious smile that is greeted me when I enter by Anoko! 2) by the compassionate and caring good eye contact and sincere interest in me as a person and not a number by Linda- PSR lead 3) by the way that Shania handled the instructions and gentle touch in assisting during the positioning of my breast=such integrity and 4) but the skill sets and confident step by step by Clarinda in performing my Bone Density and expectations of each step before rendered. If your parking lot is so torn up with construction that a person cannot get to your office with out walking around buildings for a half mile you might mention that to your customers in one of the 5 reminder texts and calls you send about the appointment. More importantly, if I call before my appointment to specifically make sure you take my military insurance and was told yes, then when I arrive at the appointment is not the best time to say, "yeah our main office tells people the wrong thing about insurance all the time, I don't know why they do that." In an "oh well" tone. Perhaps the 3 ladies looking bored behind the counter could verify the insurance given at the time the appointment was scheduled two months ago could check that before the client arrives. The reception person was awful and I just walked out. I have only been to the Frisco location in the past and just moved to Mansfield. First of all, I walked to the door 10 minutes before my appointment and the sign said "closed". I saw someone at reception and a person in front of the desk and walked in. I smiled and said "hi" as they both looked at me and was met with "are you checking in?" Thinking I would just wait until she was done, but she asked my last name and I told her and she said "sit down and I will be with you." A few minutes later she yelled out my name (mispronounced) and asked me to come up and give her my id. She was talking so loudly and proceeded to ask who my dr was and I said "I just moved here and didn't have one yet". She told me I couldn't continue the appointment today and I asked her to stop talking so loudly because it was embarrassing in front of the other person in the waiting area. She went on saying I couldn't be seen without a Doctor and would not stop speaking so loudly over me when I asked "why didn't anyone let me know, I have had this appointment for over a week?" so I said "ok, I'm going" and she said "well do you want your id back?" So I took it and turned to leave with her saying "do you want me to explain why?" I said "no thanks " and left. I have never had a medical type appointment where the receptionist yelled out my business like that, it was so embarrassing. In my previous experience with Solis, the people were discreet and friendly and took me behind the glass wall to a desk to check in. I will be finding somewhere else to get my mammogram. read more

They were rude and basically said "not my problem". I had a diagnostic mammogram scheduled. Was told it would be over 1000 out of pocket for this dt it needing to be done at a hospital. Separate charges for mammo/ultra sound and MD to read results. PLEASE don't be fooled by this. If I was not a nurse and didn't do research and have some knowledge of billing I may have fell for this. I found my own source who only charged my copay saving me over $1000 dollars and got results same day. No need to wait for some one to read results. I used Eves breast center in Southlake. Stay away from Solis Mammography Plano. My doctor gave a work order for a screening (covered benefit) and then a diagnostic if needed. I went to Solis and they said you can only have one done only so I said I would like to know why I feel an ache. So they picked diagnostic. Found out my doctor set up for screening first and to proceed for diagnostic later if needed. Well that's $800 out of pocket and not covered under benefit. Scam of a lifetime right here folks if I have ever experienced. read more
