I had a full MRI of my spine in late February, and the radiologist, Dr. Veena Gautam, completely missed a 5.7 cm calcified mass on my spleen and a 5 mm pancreatic cyst--neither of which were mentioned in the report. Despite the MRI being ordered for spinal stenosis, any competent radiologist should have noted a large, clearly visible lesion. It wasn't until my neurosurgeon took an X-ray that the mass was flagged as concerning, prompting further imaging. Additionally, this facility filed my insurance incorrectly twice, and when I returned, there was no acknowledgment or apology for such a serious oversight. If you need imaging here, I strongly recommend getting a second opinion or requesting a different radiologist to review your scans. read more

I had my MRI done here. Facility was on the first floor and easy to find. Staff was friendly upon being greeted and checked in quickly. Waited only a few minutes before being called back. Small clean changing room with lockers to secure your belongings. MRI tech was curious and explained everything very well. I was given ear plugs and a blanket. I then changed as they prepared my CD of my scan. It was a fairly open machine and did not feel claustrophobic while being scanned. Would be a patient here again. Only suggestion would be to have an option to listen to music with headphones during the scan or glasses that have mirrors to enable you to see out the ends of the tube. read more

From trying to make an appointment- when you call you get into an automated circle, for over 9 minutes never a person and then the option to leave number for call back that never happened. Not until 3rd try when I left my concern on a recording never a live person how we could not get through to make our appointment now 2 weeks out from trying. Nice young man called back 4 days after my last message telling me we could only have test at Plano or Duncanville the local site did not do test. So we set our appointment in Plano. Received 5 text's reminder's about confirming my appointment. I did each time and wished I got this much attention when trying to get in for our appointments. Showed up 15mins early, lady who greeted us checked us in and informed my ins plan did not pay. They had someone else information as we have never been there and they never asked for our insurance in advance. I did call my insurance beforehand and was informed both plans covered this test . Young lady at desk informed us since they checked wrong insurance- that is would take 3-5 days to contact our Dr and get medical necessity for test and then we can reschedule! Really we came for 2 appointments we made over 2 week ago, took us 9 days to get some one to call us for appointment. My biggest complaint would be the young lady who worked the desk never apologized for there mixup and our inconvenience. We where sent away until they do there job. Not sure how long they will keep doors open with this lack of customer service- yes we are the customer. Opening up a for profit healthcare facility such as this, you need some management. When blood started flowing/ there were no bandages available to stop the bleed Second - So he called another assistant who was able to insert the IV.. but also blew a vein.. and did not have a mask or wear gloves! Third the equipment was filthy.. Fourth - did not even extend a hand when I tried to get off scanning bed Five- told me not take my diabetes medication since I was to have an MRI scan with contrast.. when I asked why - he didn't know and said that's what they are supposed to say! Wow! I can't say enough wonderful things about my experience at Prime Diagnostic Imaging!!!!!! From the minute I walked in the front desk was welcoming to my tech Hector who was so reassuring and helped me feel at ease. You see I have serious heart disease on my Daddy's side. He was a skinny man who had his first heart attack at 54. So I'm a little concerned with my ticker. I was having a screen of my heart. Upon entering the screening room Hector put me at ease. Starting off with his experience with having the same procedure a few years ago, to us sharing we go to the same Interist. Isn't she wonderful! Well, the procedure lasted only 5 minutes and my results were awesome. Where I have lots in common with my Daddy I'm pleased I didn't inherit his heart health issues, only his loving heart. WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! I went to them a couple of years ago, and they injected me in a room with trash cans around with used needles in them. If I had realized I would be going to the same place on 11/13/23 I would have cancelled! The place still looks dirty, and when I commented on it, I could tell the guy didn't like it. It was difficult getting an appointment after my doctor told me they would be calling ME, and they didn't. I had to call SEVERAL times and the girl behind the desk could only repeat "We haven't received a referral from your doctor." "We haven't received a referral from your doctor." "We haven't received a referral from your doctor." If I weren't in severe pain 24/7, I wouldn't have bothered. While I was sitting in the office, I heard her repeating the same thing to a woman trying to get an appointment, then said "Ma'am please don't curse at me." I understood the woman's frustration. The girls behind the counter were laughing about it after she hung up. After seeing the bad reviews here about the prices I called them to MAKE SURE it wouldn't happen to me. Went here last friday with pain in abdomen for an ultrasound of ab n pelvis. The tech was v nice and courteous. The following day my dr recd one report which didn't seem to mention the issue they found during scanning, so it raised a red flag in my mind. When i followed up w them on monday turns out they sent incomplete report n completely missed sending the pelvic ultrasound report which had the diagnosis that was told to me. Had the tech not informed me of what i was suffering from id have thought the report they sent was complete n no action is needed. But since the 2nd report had the abnormalities it was imp to recieve it on time. Such a huge oversight on their part and noone seemed to care even when i escalated this issue. What if it was a 911 situation or matter of life and death. Also the report seems to be inaccurate as the tech told that abnormality is on left side but they have written its on right. I wonder how qualified their Doctors are and seriously doubt the legitimacy of their findings and expertise in reporting the findings. I paid a good 300$ now i feel i need a second opinion as i don't trust the accuracy of their reports. Upon calling their mgr umpteen times to discuss my issue and lodge a complaint noone has got back to me neither did they come to phone. Looks like they take patient's life matters very casually. I will not be returning to this practise ever again as they don't seem to value patient's life. Poor customer service. If i could give a minus one star i would! Review for plano locatio. I have never needed images taken before for something like this. A simple procedure was incredibly difficult from beginning to end. This situation could have been handled with so much more care than it was. Blanca, the "office manager" at the Plano location, was incredibly rude and dismissive when I came in with ample time to have an x ray done. She then proceeded to give me her "supervisor's" information, which was actually the phone number for scheduling. I got Laura's email, so the phone number was actually helpful. There was no reason for Blanca to be as unprofessional and rude as she was. The pain I have endured going to this building 3 times for one additional x ray to be done is absolutely insane. Blanca, I hope corporate sees this and addresses the way you treat patients. You are the person that is supposed to care for people the most when they come in, any kind of medical experience can be traumatic, and you only made the situation worse. I pray you never have to endure that kind of treatment while you are in pain or being in a vulnerable environment like a medical office. Shame on you. I was too upset to remember. note: this is on $400 copayment, so they almost overcharged me by %100 of what they should have, and they did not tell me about it till I found out from my insurance company more than a month later (at least) ....read between the lines to be fair the clinic staff were fairly Fridley and efficient read more

This PLANO location literally gives me nightmares from the unprofessionalism I experienced from the medical staff (not the front desk personnel) and the lack of hygienic and sanitary standards at this place recently. I HIGHLY recommend avoiding this place at all cost. Like others on here, if I could assign a zero rating I would. This place is a dump and the medical staff there the lowest tier of human beings on the planet lacking customer service skills and showing great impatience. There is no management on site and the telephone run-around required to reach someone with authority is a trip through the insanity and impossible demonstrating a complete lack of care in their customers and problem resolution. The hiring of the medical personnel and the oversight of their activities, actions and performance is VERY poor leading to the unforgivable sub-standard level of service quality and treatment at this facility. I was at Prime Diagnostics for an MRI . The staff was helpful, kind but rushed. I felt very uncomfortable because not enough care and consideration for the safety of others was taking place. Patients were crowded together while being prepared for procedures. I was sitting next to a person fresh out of a medical procedure who was coughing violently. Isn't COVID still an issue???? The entire experience was horrible. The front staff was very unprofessional. Mixed up appointments, being called a "Clausto" to the room at large after not being able to complete MRI, and receiving duplicate calls for information given multiple times; this group needs training or new Manager. The MRI staff is worse. On my first attempt to have MRI the tech suggested I contact my PCP versus the Dr that sent me for something that will help me for the next attempt because the referring Dr was just a nurse; was not true. I found trying to discredit my Dr to be very unprofessional. On my 2nd attempt, I had to wait over an hour after taking a valium. After the attempt failed, the tech tried to bully me into completing the MRI. Things said...What are you afraid of? The machine won't hurt you. I'm right here, all you have to do is let me know. And my favorite, did you try praying? After that failed to encourage me, he went into a diatribe at how strong the machine was and that I would not be able to get better. This place needs sensitivity training, it was a stressful experience. There is an MRI available in an upright open machine that has great results. read more

I just got a cervical MRI done at Prime Diagnostic in Plano on Spring Creek Parkway. The date of service was 12.16.18 at 7am. I have to have IV sedation; because I simply hate being in an MRI tube. I give my visit to Prime and their staff 5 stars. I have no clue what all the cry babies on here are crying about. Everything was done on time- in a timely manner and trust me- I am not easy to please. Being in severe pain in my neck and back - keeps me (unfortunately) in a grumpy mood. I do my best to hide my grumpiness... But, the staff at Prime did a great job helping me stay calm and comfortable. How could anyone ask for anything else. The Tech that did my MRI was above average. He was a genius; when it came to making me comfortable and relaxed! He helped me get through the procedure as best as I could. I would recommend this facility to anyone who has just a touch of patients and understanding. The world is NOT a perfect place and never will be. Everyone that goes to Prime is in a bad mood, because their health is not good. If their health was good they would not be getting scans done. So, everyone calm down and relax. These guys are great considering how many people show up at their facility in intense pain and are under stress and pressure. Prime deals with these suffering folks everyday. It has to wear on you at some point. They did a great job for me.. Why has the world turned into a bunch of cry baby complainers? Look for and point out the good in people and in life. So far, scheduling an appointment, getting addressed and and estimated cost of CT Scan was not a pleasant experience. My doctor sent over an order for CT scan on 12/20.21 No phone calls or texts until 1-11-22. However when they finally called on 1-11-22 they advised they call me 3 times and left text messages, which is totally not true. When I called back today I was disconnected 4 times. I'm an out-of-state patient who got an allergy attack as soon as I got to Texas, and ended up in Urgent care. After taking allergy medications & inhalers I still wasn't feeling great so I got a chest X-ray here. The front staff, especially Aleece were extremely friendly & helpful. Paperwork was a breeze. Insurance only covered so much but my copay wasn't obscene. I was a walk-in, and they were ready as soon as I finished my paperwork! Pleasant experience all around! My niece had her MRI at this location. The tech was rude. They started an IV on her she didn't need and I was overcharged since they did not do the MRI with contrast the doctor ordered. Seems like the staff was more interested in talking about evening plans versus reading the order and communicating with my niece why they would not do the MRI with contrast but did apologize for starting an IV she didn't need. My wife was hit by an uninsured driver. Unfortunately she was also injured to the point that an MRI had to be performed. After calling around for pricing and location so she wasn't traveling too far, we selected Prime Diagnostics in Duncanville. They were very easy to schedule and coordinate her scans. The MRI is a bit scary as it is with noise and a tunnel so the staff at Prime went above and beyond to ensure her safety and comfort was met so she wouldn't be terrified of the experience. I would never recommend this place to anybody. 1) Front desk and people who talk to you on the phone are extremely rude and the information given is not accurate; 2)The technician who punctured my vain for the contrast did not wear gloves; 3) My blood started to leak from the little tube, which leads me to believe that this place may have a sanitary issue. I asked them to change the plastic item with the leaking blood or close it with a cap but they said it was not necessary (I was seriously scared to be contaminated); 4) All of this for the bargain of $3.000 dollars; 5) On top of that, I had to pay an extra dollar to have the report showing the result of my exam. I would not recommend Prime Diagnostic based on my January 30th visit. When my appointment for an abdominal CT was scheduled I was told I need to arrive 2 hours before my appointment to drink something (contrast) over a 2 hour period before my scan. When I arrived 2 hours before my appointment I was told I would not have to drink anything. The contrast was iodine and was injected intravenously during the CT. Before my scans began I requested a copy of the CD to take to my doctor. I was told it would take 15 to 20 minutes after the scan was completed. I waited for over an hour but the CD was still not ready. I was told they would deliver a copy of the CD to my doctor the next day and mail a copy to my home. When I saw my doctor 2 weeks later he did not have the CD and I never received a copy at my home. read more

I took my mother here because she was referred by a doctor. The front desk people were really nice, and attentive. However, the tech person, don't know her name since she never even had the attention to detail to introduce herself, was very unpleasant, she rushed us since the very beginning claiming that we needed to hurry up because they were really busy. My mom is an 83 yrs. old lady and can't really move very well, so that alone was very unprofessional. All throughout the process, she was not caring at all, did not show any sympathy whatsoever. On top of all that my mom was seen almost 30 min. after her appointment time. Overall, it was a horrible experience, the only thing that made it somewhat ok was the front desk people. read more

It seems that there no correlation between your appointment time and the time that you are actually seen. I asked the clerk why my husband had not been seen an hour after his scheduled time and was told it depends on when patients wake up. My husband loves his doctor but there are some huge opportunities for the office staff and scheduling. They also need to post a sign that "says no cell phone conversations." Some patients and family members in the waiting area feel very comfortable having long, loud cell phone conversations while the rest of us have to listen. My disabled son had an MRI with and without contrast last evening at the Plano location. The staff was very pleasant, and I left thinking it had been a very positive experience. We said our goodbyes and thanked them and got back to the facility where my son resides and discovered the IV had been forgotten and left in his arm! I never in a million years would think I would have to ask a tech if he remembered to take out the IV. I mean, seriously??? Day 1 - 3 weeks to get scheduled. Day 2-21 - Do not bother to call, you will wait for hours and get transferred endlessly. Day 22 - Very open conversations at the front desk about any and all dating going on among the single moms. Took 20 minutes to get in, which isn't bad, but then I get handed a CD that is blank. Day 26 - I walk the CD into the appointment with my surgeon 2 days later and get blank stares while I get to pay for the wasted appointment. I call to complain, (insert previous call wait experience here) and 4 hours later I've spoken to 3 call reps, received no call backs regarding the issue, and I'm welcome to drive to their location because company policy forbids mailing out a copy. I called Cigna, who called Prime and got their "Accounts" person on the line, a twit named Thomas, and he states they will do nothing about this, so I asked Cigna to cancel the transaction while I cancelled the credit card charge online.
