The vibes were off from the beginning when I called in three hours before they closed and they rudely stated we do close at 8pm. The receptionists talk down to you as if you're some kind of drug seeking patient. The provider came around and had a very negative tone, at which point I decided it was best to seek medical treatment elsewhere. They had my blood pressure sky rocketed, which is pretty sad for a medical provider to do. Anyway, wouldn't recommend. You'll get better care waiting in the emergency room for five hours than you will there. read more

I have never been to a Med Express. I was pleased with the appearance of the office; it was beautifully decorated, comfortable and very clean. The woman at the font desk was extremely kind and helpful and my waiting time was minimal. Abby, the PA, was SUPER and ordered an xray but the xray tech was not very friendly or helpful and I was unable to undergo the test because the table was too high with nothing to hold on to and I became afraid to continue. Abby totally understood and wrote me a script to go to Indiana Hospital for me to complete the xray, calle me a few hours later, explained the diagnosis and called in an antibiotic at my pharmacy. Except for the radiation tech, everyone was extremely knowledgeable, kind and very helpful. read more

My girlfriend had some questions because she hadn't felt any better after being prescribed antibiotics. We called at 8 am on Sunday and the receptionist said she'd get a doctor to call us back. We waited all day, no call back. On Monday morning, we called back again and finally got through to a doctor. The doctor wasn't helpful at all and kept repeating that he can't do anything more to help out and that the antibiotic "should" be working. Not only was the service terrible and my girlfriend still sick, they have a plethora of ill people coming through daily to sign on the same signature pad and they never disinfect it! The patient room was also unclean. I have never been to a MedExpress that was this incompetent before. If you are in Indiana and in need of urgent care, IRMC has an urgi-care facility attached to the hospital that is staffed with real doctors that you can trust. Do not make the mistake of going to MedExpress over IRMC urgi-care. read more

I stopped in this morning with a sore throat, stuffed up nose, wheezing in my chest, and generally feeling like crap. They did treat me for strep, but that's it. The Dr listened to my chest and said he didn't hear any wheezing which he wouldn't I use two separate inhalers every day. All he was concerned with was that he didn't want to give me an antibiotic. It was gigantic waste of my time and money. He wanted to give me a prescription for claritn d. I suffer with the same symptoms every fall and spring and I know what I need so now I will have to wait until Monday to go see the VA to get the meds I need. If your choice is to die or go to this med express, choose death. They are very unorganised and sloppy, calling them professionals is an embarrassment to the Heath care community. They only care about covid -19 regardless if you have any real problems. Do not come here. read more

Receptionists were very nice! The other staff was okay, but the bathroom had no paper towels or soap and was pretty dirty.

I go here fairly regularly as I do not like to go to the ER for things that are not real emergencies, and my doctor can be hard to get in to see at the last minute (and who plans getting injured or sick?) The workers have always been very kind to me, even when the things I've gone in for were embarrassing (like scabies... ugh). The place is very clean. Sometimes the wait is a bit long (especially with COVID, although I prefer being able to wait in my car than to have to wait in the lobby). The doctors always listened to me and didn't seem to judge me. My only complaint is that they want a credit card number to charge you if the insurance doesn't pay, and not everyone is able to provide that, although they will treat you regardless. read more

I would give a below 1 rating if possible. Went to this facility yesterday and was appalled by the staff treatment of patients and slow attention to patients, in a 1 hour time frame, only two patients were seen while staff frolicked in the back of the facility focusing what based on their conversation was errors in the paperwork they gave the first patient served. The second patient was not attended to until the paper work issue was mulled over by all 6 staff members. So, two patients seen in 1 hour despite a full waiting area. I will never go there again and will warn others of this incompetent staff at this facility. What a shame! read more

Absolutely disgusted. Terrible receptionist and even more rude nurses in the back. I came here today to get antibiotics for a sinus infection and I have been told by three different employees that I am here to get covid tested. How are they going to tell me why I am here ? I waited in my car for almost 2 hours before being brought inside to get out into a room and Now I've been sitting here for the past 50 minutes. No one has bothered to check in on me or let me know when I will be seen. When I did open the door to see what was taking so long I had one of their rude nurses yell at me to keep my mask on which it never came off my face and then she tell me your getting covid tested keep it on!! I then again informed their staff for the 4th time that that is not why I'm here and I shut the door.. still waiting... hopefully I get out of here before they close... read more

I do not go to the dr's unless it's needed. I recently got very sick (probably the flu). What concerned me the most was my throat feeling like broken glass and when I cough I was having difficulty breathing. It's Sat, so I go to med express. I've never been before. I was the first one there but the 4th to be called in because I didn't use the curbside sign in. No biggie, my fault. I told the nurse I took a COVID test and it was beg. She took all my info then the Dr came in. He said they were out of flu tests but he's guessing I have the flu. I asked if he was going to prescribe and antibiotic and he said "I don't prescribed those for the sniffles" Not this is viral and they wouldn't help. He ordered another COVID test even though I took one. I asked the nurse will it be sent out and she said"no this is exactly like the one you took" surprise - it was also neg. Dr ordered Claritin D and Musinex and told me if not better in 10-14 days come back. I told him I would not be back and he was shocked and ask me why? I told him "why would I? I wasted $50 for him to do nothing." He then had the nerve to tell me if I had come in Sooner he might have been able to do more!!! Unbelievable! I should've guessed it would be this bad when I read on the sign on the front door "we do not tolerate any violence of any form in this office" DO NOT GO TO MED EXPRESS in Indiana, PA! read more

The only good staff member here is Dr. Lee. Always treated with respect when I see him. He genuinely cares about his patients and is very warm. However, the nurses are extremely rude and abrupt, and the front desk workers always seem disorganized. I called around 2 PM to talk to the physician who had seen me earlier that day with a question, and the receptionist said it was extremely busy so they'd call me back. 7:00 pm rolls around and I call back again, and they say they will write my name down to have the physician call me back...AGAIN. It's now 7:59 PM and they close at 8. I doubt they're calling me back. read more

The staff wasn't overly friendly. The doctor was outright rude! I explained to her that three people in my home had bronchitis and were on antibiotics and she said I didn't need them. She took a whole thirty seconds to diagnose me and then rudely ask if I wanted cough meds? Horrible experience with this facility! My wait time wasn't long, but I agree with the other review that the nurse was the only friendly person I encountered. Doctor was very unfriendly. They had me begin a course of treatment while waiting for test results. Results came back on Sunday, but I had to call and pester them to get them - by Tuesday night, I had to resort to being somewhat rude with them to get my results. The Doctor who gave me the results got on the phone and said "This is the doctor" rather than even providing her name. She indicate the results were normal and that I should follow up with my PCP and didn't bother to instruct me on the continuation or discontinuation of the medication they prescribed. Just overall terrible care. Be well and if you aren't - don't expect this place to help you. read more

Employees are rude and very short to patients. It also is supposed to be a very quick and discreet visit. It took 35 Minutes just to get checked in and then an additional hour to be seen. My doctor is in Pittsburgh and I probably would have been better off with traveling to go see him. I would suggest to go anywhere else other than here! Good Luck!!!! read more

I was there on 1/5/2016 and I didn't wait long and was impressed with the staff. The girl at the window, was wrapped up in her jacket, which made me think she may have been sick. The assistant who took me back and took my vitals was extremely pleasant ( always a plus when you are sick). The woman PA I saw was very nice, asked me questions, and listened. I had a severe sinus infection and pressure. She gave me an antibiotic and I was on my way. I couldn't ask for better service. I appreciated the compassion and service. I was initially prescribed Amoxcillian for step throat and revisited the walk-in clinic because I broke out in hives as a result of taking the antibiotic. During my second visit, I was prescribed Azithromycin and Predinisolone. After calling the UPMC Health Hotline, I was told these medications are not safe to be taken with my current ones (Seroquel and Abilify). The Health Hotline said when taken together, there is a chance of QT interval (heart) and hepatic (liver) problems. The walk-in clinic doctor never asked me what medications I was currently taking to make sure they were safe with the newly prescribed ones. Very unprofessional. read more
