Took some time to do the paperwork and no one was waiting so it was around 30 minutes total to see the tech and the Dr. My situation perhaps could have waited to see my primary care Dr because my insurance is out of state and the walk in fee is $189 payable upfront with everything else charged on top. I posted the fees. It's clean there and I suppose if you don't need an emergency room and can't wait to see your primary care and they take your insurance it's a reasonable choice. Worst service yet... I Took my wife to cocoa beach medfast to be seen today. We have been to medfast in Merritt island and Titusville many times with good results. I have to say that the staff working here in cocoa beach are very inexperienced and not able to even keep track of the people in their rooms. After getting to the examination room and getting her vitals we sat there for 2 hours without anyone else coming to see us or check on us. When I got up and opened the door and walked out the staff looked at me in astonishment. They had obviously forgotten about us. Nothing against the younger generation but this group definitely need some adult supervision read more

Save your time and money. I should have just waited an extra day and taken my son to his primary care physician, who is also a Dr. of Pharmacology. These usless health care individuals do nothing for you. Instead, they are busy gossiping amongst themselves and running each other's insurances to see what their " Copays are", meanwhile you have paid your copay to be seen and they can't even prescribe proper respiratory infection prescription. I am a snowbird from Michigan. I needed a referral from my chiropractor to have an MRI done down in Melbourne. I walked in, filled out the paperwork and was seen within 10 minutes. I had a nice chat with the nurse practitioner, she listened to my heart and lungs as my vitals had already been done. I did receive my referral. Took my mother to this urgent care and I just can't give them a high enough rating. EVERYONE, from the front office staff, medical assistant, X-Ray technician and nurse practitioner, was kind, caring, patient, professional, knowledgeable and extremely competent. They were all bubbly, sweet and explained everything to us, each step of the way. They took time to listen and hear all of our concerns. Worst experience ever. My three year old tested positive for the flu and we caught it in the first 48 hours which is critical for tamiflu to be effective. I'm not sure what is wrong with the incredibly inept people working here, but calling in the prescription to CVS pharmacy has proven to be a skill they simply do not possess. Which makes no sense. First, we were sent to the wrong pharmacy entirely (despite our requested pharmacy) and we have now called back multiple times since leaving with our diagnosis to correct it. We still don't have the tamiflu and the most critical 48 hours to take it has passed. This is actually medical malpractice and we are now researching our options. The woman at the front was also extremely rude and especially incompetent. It's shocking she is employed at all, let alone at a point of care in a customer-facing capacity. In person, she was on her personal phone, not paying attention, had zero sense of urgency and was talking loudly about her love of fast food (makes sense at healthcare center). On the phone the same woman was condescending and unprofessional. The CVS system still has no record of the prescription she continually assures us she's "going to call in now"... so I'm convinced she's also now just evil. read more

My doctor was swamped today and so I drove over to this facility and told the receptionist what I needed and she said we don't have anybody here that is qualified to write a prescription. I have visited MedFast two other times for minor things. I had an emergency this morning with an encounter to my ceiling fan while trying to reach an upper kitchen cabinet. I received excellent treatment. I was greeted by a friendly staff who made my check in process easy. We were properly distanced from each other since Covid is running rampant in Brevard County at the moment. The facility is very clean and the staff is excellent. Was a walk in, no appointment, my left foot, big toe, the nail was hanging on by a thread. Everyone from the moment I walked in until I walked out were professional and courteous. They took my informaction, I sat for maybe 5 minutes and was called into the back. I am a big old 64 year old baby and they made me feel comfortable and in no time had my toe nail out and bandaged. I will go back again if ever need. I have been to the one on Courtenay and Georgia and wouldn't go back there. This office is so clean, the staff so much more professional and friendly. read more

Started out with a negative experience at this place but thanks to nurse Beth Coran it ended up being a good experience. My sister and I were in a panic to get Covid tests after a series of mishaps which I won't explain. I called the Urgent Care to inquire about how long it may take us to get a test and results and the person on the other end of the line wax very rude. She said she could not tell me. We did not have a car and walked to Urgent Care from Our Hotel. When we got there, the woman at the desk gave us paperwork to fill out and told us to go out and do it in our car....even though though there was a waiting room with people waiting. We told her we were walking but that we would go outside. We completed the paperwork and brought it into her and she told us to go outside and they'd call us in. After 30 minutes Beth called us in. She was the sweetest, nicest person and we were so thankful. She performed our tests and we were out of there in 20 minutes. Beth turned our experience around at this facility. The staff was friendly and the Dr. Hatfield had my prescriptions ready when she walked in to treat me, just based off of visually looking at my bug bite and taking the time to wait for results from my additional tests. Additionally, she gave me extra supplies for my treatment (which I have NEVER been given by any facility). The staff and doctor wished me well before leaving. They were very rude when we walked in because we came in as an emergency without a mask because my daughter was stung by a jelly fish. Didn't even think about it. When they asked. My husband pointed out that the people working behind the counter were not wearing a mask. She got confrontational and yes, my husband gave it back because they were being hypocritical. I visited twice for a broken toe while snowbirding in Cocoa Beach. Nicole and Manual were great PA's and my medical needds were well met. I can't say enough good things about the rest of the staff. Marissa and Yahayra at the front desk were pleasant and helpful. A couple of the patients in the waiting room were absurdly high maintenance. My family and I were visiting from California last week and our 19 month son became sick. After taking him to the walk in clinic on Banana River Blvd and being turned away, we went here. I wish we found them first! Our son has cystic fibrosis. The other doctor was afraid to examine him even though I pleaded with him to please look him over. Dr. Burstein checked his lungs , which were clear, and his eyes and throat. With this basic examination he was able to determine strep throat and Conjunctivitis. He prescribed eye drops and amoxycylin that we got immediately from next door. Thank you for taking care of my son and not being scared off by his preexisting medical condition. I accompanied my son to this clinic yesterday as his primary Dr. was not available. His service was incredible. The front staff was very efficient and his wait was very minimal. His symptoms were heavy deep cough, chills, tired and hurting and the nurse & Dr worked quickly at giving him a cortisone shot, a breathing treatment and an X-ray of his lungs. After receiving a chest x-ray due to a cold/respiratory condition, the doctor (not a radiologist) looked at the x-ray and told me he didn't like how it looked....may be cancer, copd, whatever. Told me to call 2 days later for results. After numerous unreturned phone calls and excuses why they didn't have the results or couldn't provide the results, I endured 10 days of WORRY before finally receiving a phone call that x-ray was normal. I'm severely allergic to bug bites and I woke up to two swollen cheeks after golfing the previous day. The swelling was getting worse and starting to get painful. I googled and found Medfast. I called them and they said they could see me right away. The front desk staff was so happy and helpful and the doctor was standing right there at the front and he didn't mind that I was asking questions before I filled out the paperwork even. I filled out the paperwork and was seen right away. Dr. Burstein was so friendly and thorough and went through all of my prescriptions with me. Being on vacation and away from my regular doctor made me panic a little once my pain and swelling started getting worse but going to Medfast put me at ease physically and mentally right away!
